Personality: Aali never really got the chance to develop much of a personality. But of what he did manage to keep from his identity was a decent person. His mother taught him to respect only those deserving of respect no matter the level of authority. Sometimes authorities do not deserve respect. Aali was also taught to keep an open mind, to see the world for what it could be not just what it is. Though he always keeps an eye out for people who pose as threats. He has serious trust issues and trusts only J'onn. He doesn't think anyone else can be trusted. He's very closed off from people, even J'onn. He doesn't talk much and never really has much to say. Despite his isolated personality he is a fearsome fighter. He often restrains himself, but even his restrained fighting is deadly. If he were to unleash all his rage it would be a thing of the darkest nightmares. Aali has a tendency to stay away from people and never really socializes or makes friends. He tolerates being around others but for the most part ignores people. He's not considered a nice person or a bad person. More often then not he's seen as neutral.

Powers: Aali inherited many powers from his father including: Telepathy, shapeshifting, intangibility, flight, super strength, and enhanced senses. Though he does not posses all Martian abilities due to his human blood.

Abilities: Aali is a very intelligent being who is not easily tricked. He is not at all gullible and can not be lied to. He is also a very capable combat fighter.

Weapons: His only weapons are his natural abilities which are quite powerful on their own. He has no need of weaponry. 

Supersuit:

Weakness: Just as any other Martian he is weakened by fire. He also does not posses the regenerative healing factors of a Martian and heals at the same rate as humans and is just as vulnerable as humans in the physical sense.

Backstory: Aali was the byproduct of a forbidden union between a Martian escapee and a rouge scientist. His mother was a human doctor by the name Rehema Albukar, a woman of great achievement. That achievement got her high up in rank and into some top secret government projects. One such project was the study and research of a Martian, one of the last alive. He was difficult to contain but the Egyptian government managed to restrain and hide the alien. All this was unknown to the Justice League, especially the Martian Manhunter who would've gladly liberated a fellow survivor. So the Egyptian government went on for quiet awhile poking and prodding at their specimen, Rehema being one of the few who conducted the tests. She thought she had prepared herself for this rigorous life she thought she wanted, but she couldn't take it. The pain in those alien eyes, the despair. Even if the he wasn't human she couldn't be so cruel to him. So she set him free, and now fearing her own life for her treason she left with him. They were hunted of course, but in that time Rehema became pregnant with Aali. No one could anticipate what would come of the child, but by some miracle he was born. He was ugly and mutated but alive. The Martian and human DNA did not mix well. The babe had its deformities but it live and grew. Rehema and the Martian managed to live in hiding for several years. Aali was able to grow and learned to shape shift, but only barely. The young boy was able to hold human form to protect himself from the public eye. However it was much longer that they were found out and captured by the Egyptian government. Rehema was executed for her crimes while the other two became lab rats, especially Aali being half human and half martian. It was torture for the poor boy. There was no where to hide, no form he could transform into that would make them stop. He was cut open, tested on, inhumanly treated. His father was eventually killed from an experiment gone wrong. Life became even more hopeless for the orphaned halfbreed. But his father had been smart enough to leave clues during their past escape for any other Martian survivors. And those clues were discovered by the Justice League and due to the clue's being in the Martian language J'onn J'onzz was immediately notified. It was definitely a difficult investigation with little to work with, but J'onn refused to give it up. He knew that one of his own was out there somewhere and likely suffering. Eventually the investigation led him to Egypt and furthermore to the laboratory where Aali was. J'onn never found his fellow survivor, but he did find Aali shivering in a corner in a mutated form. But the green skin and red eyes was all the proof J'onn needed. That boy he saw was of his blood, Martian blood. So J'onn liberated Aali and took him under his wing. No one would understand him. He was a child of two worlds. The humans would never truly accept him, so J'onn must. J'onn taught Aali to harness and control his powers. He also raised the boy to be able to function in society. All these things Aali was great fun for, he never once rebelled against the man who saved him. And so Aali learned the ways of his teacher, he grew and progressed because of J'onn. Once J'onn felt he was well trained and ready J'onn introduced him to the Justice League. Aali was happy to take his role in helping any way he could, so he was assigned first to the Young Justice leagues for more training so that he may one day become apart of the official league.

Extra: Aali spends much of his free time in a meditative state. He hardly ever sleeps but the meditation is as restful as sleep is to him. Thus he really has no need of a bed, just a quiet room.  The meditation is healing and regenerative, especially to his tortured mind. He also holds a human shape nearly constantly. His natural appearance is an ugly cross between a human and Martian, this why he chooses to remain in his human form. This used much of his energy making him less effective than he could be.

Aali is very lonely. Even though he chooses a life a solitude it is only because of fear. He want to trust people, but is too afraid to. His years being tortured scared him more emotionally that it did physically. J'onn was the first person aside from his parents to show him kindness.
