August
!
Name: August Winfrey [He's not Oprah Winfrey's son, I promise.]
Nicknames?: Ah, call him Auggie. What the heck.
Age: 22
Identifies As: He/him
Sexuality: Homosexual (But there's no Ferard here, folks.)
[just kidding lol]
Role: Pilot
Appearance:
[My little Frank Iero fanpage. I mean, face claim. Yeah. Right...]
August is around 5'6", and isn't very proud of it at all. He usually chooses to go with comfortable sweaters or baggy jeans in a dark color that blends in with his often messy hair. The long tendrils seem greasy most of the time, but don't let that fool you. He takes showers a lot-- sometimes even twice, or three times a day! And he smells like a daisy. (Really, he does.) He has muddy brown eyes, of which are probably one of the warmest features of his entire entity. Auggie isn't too proud of the bit of stubble he always fails to shave. Otherwise, he's a bit of a chub, and seems to really enjoy a nice drink every once in awhile.
Personality:
August has social anxiety. He often tried to pretend he's someone he's not in order to get people to like him. Still, he overthinks almost everything he does (both publicly and privately), and most likely brushes his teeth at least five times a day. It's very often that he will come across as a total control freak, which he is. Mostly why he chose to become a pilot; so he could have nearly complete control over where they were all going.
He's a bundle of nerves once he realizes that the cool mask isn't working and is probably pretty sweaty. August isn't anywhere near inconsiderate or unkind. Instead, he is extremely generous, so much so that he really doesn't own anything much. He doesn't hold much sentimental value for items— including his beloved guitar— and is guaranteed to give the instrument away if it is asked for.
He's pretty much a total pushover, of who tries his best to act all cool and hip. Really, all August wants is another friend with a lot of anxiety (and OCD) so they can go out and have a drink. Actually, stay inside and have a drink. But either way, there's alcohol involved.
Still, he's too much of a goody-two-shoes to dare think about doing something dumb and unreasonable. Especially drinking and driving. Or getting a minor to drink. He's very big on rules, although he will bend over the law book backwards if it means him pleasing someone else.
Auggie usually has a lot of time on his hands, and has therefore resorted to poetry to fill his empty space. What he does say [when he isn't trying to act like the iceman] usually holds either poetic value, or lack thereof, otherwise turning to blatant statements that make him look like a quavery idiot. The quavery part isn't too far from the truth, but when he isn't daydreaming, August is a great intellectual, and reads up on things that shouldn't really be relevant. His parents call him the 'useless information encyclopedia.' He tells them that no information is useless, but it's not like he speaks loud enough for them to care.
All in all, he's somewhat of a mellow fellow and feels obligated to please everyone he comes across, including strangers.
Strengths:
+ "useless" information output
+ He has a rocking sense of direction.
+ Bob Ross-esque voice can probably put the rowdiest baby to sleep.
+ Creativity and broad imagination often leads to plans that have been formed outside of the box. AKA, about to be jumped? Don't just stand there! We have to tell them calming poetry in order to soothe the gang's violent antics! They might not work, but... It's worth a try, right?
+ Might come up with more soon, but these are okay for now? Also, he has wicked hearing, but somewhat bad eyesight. He makes up for it by wearing these blocky glasses that he thinks make him "look even worse." It's only until he receives his contacts, though. [Probably never, since he hates going to offices. Especially the doctor's office.]
Weaknesses:
+ Super obsessive. Always holds a silent grudge and never lets things go.
+ Social anxiety often leads to awkward conversations.
+ Being "The Iceman" (as he calls it) usually makes him look like either a pedophile, or a jerk. Or maybe both. It's so much better to just be yourself, Auggie!
+ OCD includes washing his hands raw, worrying himself silly over whether the spaceship engine is on, and packing twenty extra lunches for only about five people.
+ Panic attacks and a fairly medium-low self-esteem.
+ Constant daydreaming ensues scoldings and an upset Auggie.
+ He has a drinking problem. A major one. But he doesn't get violent when he drinks. He gets so upset, that it can be considered borderline depression.
+ He's probably afraid of his own shadow.
+ He doesn't like talking to strangers (oh no, he's terrified of them!), but he will still do what they ask of him. Unless they put a gun to his head. Then, he might faint. Or come up with some weird plan to get out of it.
+ Gullible as... Well, a baby.
Fears:
August has a constant fear of spiders. He is wary of every corner, thinking that the creepy-crawlers would spring out at him at any moment. Especially since he heard that stupid statement— 'there's always a spider within three feet of you.'
He's also very, very afraid of strangers, and often opts to swing around the corner leading away from his home than interact with someone that could possibly be a serial killer.
August also fears potholes and driving. Both of these fears originated from the many car accidents his father got into due to him not having his contacts. They all involved getting a wheel stuck in a pothole. Along with this, Augustus fears sewers and sewer lids due to the many stories of people falling through them and dying. The latter (death) of which he is also very scared of.
August also will probably fear many of the roleplay characters at one point. He's super cautious and paranoid and probably thinks that the world is full of psychopaths.
Quote:
+ "If no one knows what a loser I am, that means that I don't have to be a loser!"
+ "I'll become my own man. The Iceman. Chill. As. Shit."
+ "Am I smiling too much? I don't want to look like a creep-- first impression, first impression, I can't let these people think I'm a creep!"
+ [What he wishes he could say:] "It's not my accent, darling. It's my teeth."
Other:
+ Don't take Auggie to a party. Or else he might have an anxiety attack.
+ He has some pretty big teeth, so he either sounds like Elmer Fudd or Freddie Mercury.
'Helookslikeawalking-talkinguncookedstrandofCapellini.' That's my descriptive word. ;)
And the final password is 10.
[Is this okay? I hope I didn't miss anything. I might fill out the family thing later, depending on my mood.]
