Personality: Ruth is just a bit paranoid. Her mind works quickly but it's all over the place. Though it may seem that she's scatterbrained, there is some logic to her thinking, which helps her solve problems. Driven by her sister's disappearance, Ruth is passionate and dedicated to find out what's going on. She won't purposefully get distracted but when her mind is so vulnerable, she can be swept away by the smallest details, fixating on them until they make sense. However, Ruth won't be persuaded easily. The only person she trusts is herself. Ruth will not reach any conclusions based only on the claims of others; she needs to see it to believe it. She's adamant and will stand her ground.

Backstory: Ruth lost her sister to this very cruise years ago. They were incredibly close and it damaged her more than she would like to admit. She wouldn't talk to her family for a month, completely fixated on finding a way to solve her disappearance. She used to be a lot more laid back but the incident changed her as if flicking on a switch. Ruth is a lot more focused and eagle eyed; the determination was always in her, she just found a reason to let it out.
