|PERSONALITY|

Amika is a fiercely determined girl who will go to great lengths to prove herself. But despite her stubborn nature, she can get frustrated if she can't do something on the first try. Amika has a tendency to blame herself for things that are clearly not her fault. For example, it's possible for some earth benders to be unable to metal bend but Amika doesn't grasp this idea and it really hurts her pride that she can't do something that almost every other earth bender can.

Nevertheless, Amika is almost always the comic relief. She's not one to take most things seriously and is constantly joking around to keep the mood light. Amika's a bit immature but she's really friendly and outgoing. She's not the best at a heart-to-heart but that doesn't mean she doesn't try.

She's a little self-deprecating, partly because she can't metal bend, because she doesn't understand the power she has with the growing ability to glass bend. Amika doesn't really think of herself that greatly; she thinks her twin brother is far more talented and generally better than her. She isn't bitter about it, though, no she embraces this and is always incredibly proud of him.

|BACKSTORY|

Similar to that of cowuniversity seeing as they're twins. Amika discovered her ability to sand bend after spending years at the beach house at their grandparents'. She was quite pleased with herself for being able to sand bend but, of course knowing Amika, she wasn't satisfied. She enrolled in the Beifong Metal Bending Academy with her brother but ended up quitting after she realised that even the best teachers couldn't get her to metal bend.
