Backstory: Naomi feels as though she's always had terrible luck in life. Ever since she graduated from Quantico she's been struggling to do something worthwhile. She has a job at the FBI in New York, sure. She also has an old cat who's causes her problems, an apartment that was falling apart at the seams when she moved in, and an awful roommate to name just a few things. Superstitions surround her like vultures. She feels trapped in her own body to the point where everything becomes too much. At least she can visit her sister's family more often than when she lived in Canada. Naomi loves music, the acoustic guitar especially, but has never been successful. She's only written and sung songs in the company of her family or herself. She's of course tried to get signed by a company, but no matter what she does, nothing lines up properly, as usual. Until one day it did. On some incredibly lucky day in 2009, Neal Caffrey is brought into the New York FBI bureau where she works, and is assigned work under Peter Burke, Naomi's coworker. Maybe her luck is finally improving
