Defect (thing that goes wrong due to the failed experiment. I.e., dislocated joint, weak spot on their limbs, numbing headaches, ect.): Occasionally, her hearing goes out for an hour, sometimes more. She usually gets it back with no issues and already knows sign language if anything did go wrong (due to near silence in her childhood years), however this deafness also hurts her ears dramatically.

Appearance:

Ilena stands at 5'3, with (optimally) curly hair, though she does straighten it a lot to attempt to make it look straight. It never works. She always at least has some waves in there. Her eyes are a golden brown hue, and her freckles are mainly up her nose.

Personality: Ilena's quite mysterious and quiet, communicating mostly in hand gestures. She's usually smiling, just a tad shy to approach others. She was that kid who never really knew how to treat people. She tries to be nice, but her temper peeks out sometimes. He's a lover, though, if you're patient and appreciative enough. She's bitter about the situation she was and is in, and doesn't believe in things like insanity or "going crazy". She's not very emotional or reflective.

Backstory (mandatory): Ilena was in a cult. He was told it was "religion", but that religion didn't exist outside of the place they lived. She was indoctrinated, brainwashed. She didn't realize how wrong it was until, at the age of twelve, she was almost married to a man in his fifties. Nobody else thought it was wrong. They were encouraging it to happen. So the night before her wedding—Ilena grabbed all the things she could think to need, and ran. Ran as fast as she could for hours and hours.

Soon after, she was taken. Never to be seen again by the cult. In a way, she should've been happy to be there.. but she wasn't..

How they found themselves helping Aurelia (e.g., never left, returned after tragedy, ect.): It was that or the cult. Ilena didn't want to go back to the cult.
