PERSONALITY + OTHER ESSENTIALS:
Jack is a very adventurous and curious person. He likes taking his friends and his Bernese mountain dog Max to explore new areas, and doesn't mind getting dirty. Hell, he's almost always outside at this point, since he loves nature so much. He tends to be very outgoing and energetic, so sometimes hanging out with him can get overwhelming if you're introverted.

He's very active. He takes his dog on early 6AM runs and plays baseball with his dad or friends sometimes, though he isn't on the school team. He fears he's too much of an amateur for something like a high school team, even though he's really not even that bad.

Jack tends to be very affectionate and loyal to his friends. He loves to hang out and is a little bit touchy, but tries not to be overbearing since he doesn't want to lose his friends. He's very paranoid about that kind of thing and hates when conflicts arise for that very reason.

Is Jack a mama's boy? Yes. Does he also like to go out and party? ALSO YES. He doesn't go all the time, but he does enjoy a party with some drinks and goofing off every once in a while, even if his mother can clock him immediately.

BACKSTORY:
Jack always had a pretty good life with his parents. They weren't too strict on him but weren't too lenient on him either, so he was a pretty typical, happy and energetic kiddo. That part wouldn't change - he was always taught to be respectful and have fun, so of course he would abide by those values.

It was when middle school started when he began getting bullied by a particular group of kids. It was fairly small things that the kids were making fun of him for, like being slightly shorter than average or his teeth or messy hair. Jack tried not to let it hurt him too much, but it did sting a lot. It never really got 'too bad', but his parents did notice a change in his demeanor and brought it up with the schools principal and faculty. By the time Jack was getting ready to go to high school, Jack had moved away to a different district, since his parents felt like he wasn't safe anymore in the old once even though the kids backed off.

Being the new kid in this new school made him feel sick to his stomach. At least he'd know people in the old district, but now it was a full restart. Of course, he was worried about the bullying again, but to his pleasant surprise, mostly everyone minded their own business. Some kids had reached out to him and became friends with him very quickly, and ended up running into Ethan in the bathroom. That awkward moment catching the blonde in a mid-smoke followed by a minute of choking would bloom into a beautiful relationship, the two hanging out almost every single day, in and out of school. Hell, that stupid smoker made Jack think about his sexuality a bit.

Then there was that party where Ethan got tipsy and had to be dragged home - which wasn't a horrible thing, since he'd been over many, many times, and plus, how could he deny such a cute guy and leave him all alone? Of course, he wouldn't know the events that would unleash once they'd get home. He wouldn't know about that shared kiss that went on just slightly too long and the meltdown that came with it. Jack would hold onto Ethan tight like he was dying, and he wouldn't even mind the slight puke that dribbled onto his pants. They've been through more shit than that.

Jack comforted the poor boy the entire night, telling him that being gay was alright, and it'd all be okay in the end. He was confident in that, too, and he'd stand by it. He wanted to make sure Ethan knew that he loved him with his entire heart and soul, and soon enough, the blonde would learn that being himself is better than masking as a total stranger.
