Iris is an introvert and decided on this job, opening her own flower/book bookstore prove to her parents that she could survive without them. Being told by her stepfather that she wouldn't amount to anything, but her business became popular and makes pretty good money which she invests into her younger brothers schooling or anything that he wants to do or places he wants to go.

Iris was a shy and reserved child, with her older brother Matthew being her only close friend. She usually spent most of her time reading books, mostly novels. Iris was extremely gentle and appeared to be optimistic most of the time. Influenced by his father and a true testament of modesty, she willingly took blame and punishments from others so that she can be someone who helps others. However, her father found this out and grew worried for his little girl. It took a few years, but he managed to break her of this habit with gentle but stern parenting along with his wife's support. Beneath her altruistic and gentle nature was an underlying fear of being alone that was aggravated by his father's death when she was 15. She despised the idea of solitude; hence she tries to protect those dear to her. Though when her mother remarried to her stepfather, she changed and not for the best. Iris became quiet, introverted, more reserved, has difficulties interacting with people, and is seen to be expressionless most of the time without actually reacting towards anyone or anything, except for certain situations. Thats only when she's around children, she's than very caring, loving and nurturing and she only became like that after her baby brother was born. At heart, behind her expressionless face, Iris is just a lonely and extremely fragile girl who desperately wants to be accepted and cherished by someone. As she was neglected (or bullied) by her family, Iris became depressed, very sick, and developed insomnia. To distract herself from her pain and neglect, her OCD grew worse, and she constantly cleaned and isn't satisfied until she cleaned the house three times. She is working on it but it's difficult because she has no support.

As a child, Iris was dearly loved by her parents and older brother, being cherished and adored. Her childhood was the best days of her life and it all crumbled down the day her dad found out he was diagnosed with cancer. Iris stayed at his side and helped him but kept up with her grades to make him proud. He beat it when she turned 12 but it returned with a vengeance being the cause of his death. Iris world crumbled down and she developed a slight case of OCD. Without her dad, she relied on her older brother and pregnant mother, her brother becoming her best friend and she followed him everywhere like she did her dad. They had become closer than ever until her mother met a rich man and it had gotten serious to the point, they moved from her childhood home and into his much bigger two-story house. She was shyer around the stranger, but he slowly got closer to her, being nice to her and spoiled her with gifts. Which reminded her of her dad, so she opened up to him. The day her mother married him, he changed. Her stepfather showed her brothers more attention and started to leave her out, ignoring her simple requests and berated her. Her mother defended her at first until she started to join in just to please her rich husband. When she would be yelled at and punished for small things, she ran to Matthew just to receive cold glares and cruel words from her only best friend. As she got older, her beauty grew and crueler words were thrown her way, being called fat and worthless since she declined the offer of becoming a model for her stepfather's clothing company. School wasn't any better for her. Iris was popular and always hit on, though she never did anything with the popularity that she got because she was beautiful and the daughter of a wealthy man. Seeing right through them, she became introverted and avoided everyone who tried getting close to her. Even the ones who truly just wanted to be her friends. Her senior year of high school she, she met a classmate who had been pining after her since Sophomore year. He never gave up like the others did, so she slowly let him in and the two started dating. Two months before graduation, she was being dropped off and her boyfriend tried to push himself onto her which earned him a slap, she wasn't comfortable with sleeping with him, and they had only been dating for a few weeks. His excuse was he had been patient enough, he tried to force himself onto her after she slapped him, but she managed to get away and locked herself in the house. Iris broke up with him and swore off dating, avoiding guys who flirted all together. She shoved her nose into her books and escaped into the worlds of her books, becoming more introverted. After graduation, she got a parttime job and moved out of the house, not being able to take her family's abuse anymore, her heart breaking when she saw Aiden crying for not to leave. The only reason she had stayed for so long. Iris saved money and found a small building for sale and bought it, opening her flower/bookstore. Remembering when she told her family what she wanted to do and was belittled for her dream of her own store with the two thing she loved. Her sore had a slow start but after a month or two, it started to become popular which made her happy which she hadn't felt in a long time. Although she didn't show many emotions to her customers, they loved her and were always kind to her. They only got to see her smile and become brighter when they brough their children around so they started to do that just so they could see her smile and warm presence. Iris is currently in college to become a teacher so she could teach children, thinking she'd be a good teacher. The only thing she's been confident about.
