Background: Camillo Sionis never had the mantel of being Black Mask to begin with, he also wasn't in charge of the company his family. All of those things originally belonged to his older brother Roman Sionis, to which he was rather close to the most in comparison to his parents. Even though he was treated far better then his older brother, he didn't like the fact that his parents didn't care about them and only care about their reputation. Which was made worse from the stories that his older brother told him about his parents didn't lift a finger to help him or care enough worry about it, but instead just gloss things over so that no one else knows and due to this information the brothers stuck close together.... But things wouldn't last long, soon Roman was in charge of the company after an "accidentally fire" killed their parents due to their parents disapproving Roman's relationship with a woman and forced him to break it off. Which was the last straw for Roman to exact his plan to murder them, while Camillo turned a blind eye to the fire that killed their parents. He disapproved of what Roman has done, he was willing to except what happened and move on.. Even if it strained their relationship, but it wasn't the thing to making the brothers break apart... Later on it was clearly shown that Roman didn't have what it takes to run the company, to which he almost ran it into the ground before Camillo barely saved it from financial ruin.. Although enraged that Camillo took over the company, which brought their relationship close to a breaking point. but Roman was willing to accept that it happened, But wasn't letting go that the board of directors were planning on removing him, to which in a later year.. Roman ended up becoming a crime lord known as Black Mask and took revenge against those planned to remove him, after achieving his goal. Roman formed a partnership with Camillo to help each other out... Although Camillo was reluctant of such a partnership, he wanted save their relationship form going down the drain..... But didn't know that it'll be over soon, in the form of Camillo's older brother's unsavory decisions that involved plenty of innocent people being affected by such a thing along. To which the decision Roman wanted dominance over Gotham, which meant war with Owlman. A war that couldn't be won.... Camillo desperately tried to convince his brother out of his decision, but good intentions don't go unpunished. As Roman eventually sees it as Camillo trying to take over the whole operation and trying to call the shots, which was the inevitable breaking point that sparked conflict... Conflict to which both brothers fought each other to the death, to which Camillo ended up the victor and calming the name Black Mask. Not out of his own free will, but out of fear someone far worse would Don the mask. To which he dons a crown that isn't his nor even wanted form this day forth
