"Elysia? Elysia!"

Elysia groaned as she gained consciousness. Shoving her tangled hair out of her face, causing warm yellow light to flood her vision, she peered at the clock inches from her face. 4:03

"Tamarind what the fu-"

"Language."

Elysia dragged herself up, rubbing her eyes to focus on the blurry shape in front of her. "Tamarind, what is the meaning of this?"

"Wanna eat some cereal?"

Elysia stares at her, anger building. "Why-" She cut herself off with a growl. "Tamarind."

Tamarind smiled sheepishly. "Well...we've been so busy we haven't really seen each other. I just wanted a reason to be with you."

And just as quick as it came, Elysia's anger disappeared. While Elysia could go for days without seeing people, Tamarind was an extrovert and lived off the attention. That, plus the fact that they hadn't hung around each other recently must've been taking a toll on her.

"Of course," she said, stroking a hand down her girlfriend's arm. "I'd love to eat cereal with you."

"Thank you," Tamarind said, sweeping her into a tight hug. They stayed like that for a couple of minutes, just holding each other, before Tamarind pulled back and grinned at Elysia. "Let's go eat."
