Personality: Layla is a brilliant mastermind. She's intelligent, clever, and doesn't lack cunning. She's incredibly perceptive and knows how to cover her tracks due to her acute attention to detail. She's ambitious and determined, not to mention incredibly stubborn. Layla, however, is also extremely reserved. She usually never lets anyone too close and is often deemed the 'lone wolf' type. She sticks to herself, mainly because she tends to have trust issues. She can be incredibly selfish and tends to only work towards her own interests, not matter how many lines it means crossing. She's kind of a loose canon, never seeming to claim a side. She goes where it benefits her most. Layla is strong-willed and has a heart of stone. She isn't afraid to do what she wants and she isn't afraid to break a few rules to ensure success. She's a dominating and intimidating force no doubt, and it's often why people steer clear of her. In short, she's a brilliant bad-ass with enough cunning, wit, slyness, and ambition to get her by. One does not cross Layla and return unscathed. She is ruthless and unforgiving, and many people tend to keep that in mind.

Backstory: Layla was born as the daughter to Jafar. She never knew her mother and only grew up being raised by her father. Given what Jafar was and what he had become, Layla inherited that sorcery and power. All her life, she was taught that the only thing she could count on was herself and power. It was no good to be powerless but it was no good to be as reckless as her father had. So, Layla tried to find a compromise, in which she took up the gray space between good and evil. She follows nobody and counts on herself and herself alone. Sure she grew up incredibly lonely, but it gave her time to perfect her skills in sorcery. When she was thirteen, her father gave her a special necklace in which to help her contain and control her powers once it proved to reach an overwhelming point. Since then, Layla has learned how to wield her abilities, but still uses the necklace to ensure nothing gets too out of hand. There isn't a lot to her past and even if more existed, this is all Layla will ever tell the general public.
