▪ Pre-Captain America: Born Abigail Rosemary Sellers on July 6th 1921, Abby grew up in Queens, NYC, as the only daughter of her mother, Maryann Ellen Sellers. Her mother had a small fling with her father Joseph Rogers, not knowing that he was married to another woman. Her childhood was lonely, as her mother drank herself into a stupor, and she succumbed to her alcoholism when Abby is 17, almost 18, leaving Abigail all alone.

▪ Captain America: The First Avenger:
• At the ripe age of 18, Abby enlists in the Army as a nurse, having had some experience working at the local hospitals.

• She happens to meet James Buchanan Barnes a.k.a "Bucky" at the recruitment center, and they hit things off immediately.

• When she is accepted, she officially meets Steve Rogers, before he is given the super soldier serum, finding out she is his half-sister.

• They bond during their time in the military, and she begins dating James when he is safely returned by none other than Steve after the raid.

• They become very close, being intimate with one another multiple times, and when Steve and Bucky along with their crew go out on a mission, she comes to find out that she is expecting Bucky's child.

• Sadly, Bucky is assumed dead, and 9 months after that, she gives birth to a baby girl, she names Katherine Eleanor Barnes .

• Just a few short years later, after World War 2 has ended, both she and her daughter tragically fall through some thin ice at the lake, and they both are found by none other than Nick Fury, and Abby wakes up 66 years later, to be reunited with not only her daughter Kat, but also Steve.

• Abby is then recruited under her alias, Miss America.

▪ Captain America: The Winter Soldier:
▪ Abigail is in the vehicle with Black Widow, Steve, and Sam Wilson when they are attacked by the Winter Soldier.
▪ She is also there during the climactic fight against Steve and Bucky, overhearing Steve tell Bucky who he was, and that they were friends.
▪ When she finds out that Buckys memory has been wiped and he has no recollection of her, she is in disbelief and walks away, in tears, and sobbing uncontrollably.

▪ Captain America: Civil War:
• Abigail rejoins Steve at the meeting where the Sokovian accords are presented, and when asked to sign the documents, she shoves them back at the agent, and stands angrily, telling them that they can talk a long walk off a short pier, because she refuses to sign something that takes away her personal freedom.

• During the confrontation regarding the accords, she is on Steve's side, and stands with Bucky, to protect him, and spends quality time with him, revealing their daughter to him, and even brings Katherine up to him, so they can officially meet. She sits with him as Steve and Sam question him about his programming, and mission in Siberia during 1991.

• During the climactic fight between Bucky, Tony, and Steve, she comes in between Stark and James, taking a few blows for him, out of love, and to protect him at all means necessary. She, of course, gets a few good punches in at Tony's face.

• When Tony tells Steve that his shield doesn't belong to him, Abby rebuttals, saying that it doesn't belong to him either, but that the shield was entrusted to Steve by Howard Stark.

• When Bucky is taken to Wakanda, she decides to stay with him there, with T'Challa's permission, so she can help him remember everything he needs to. She and Katherine are his means of getting past his PTSD, and keep him from going insane.

• When Abigail finds out Bucky was dusted she is utterly devastated to have lost the love of her life all over again.
