Personality: Varian Samenfeld is the definition of the snobby rich kid. He's talented, loaded with money, gorgeous, and completely narcissistic.
He can play like- eight instruments (actually it's more whoops). Including some that haven't been played in public in like... hundreds of years. He's so musically gifted, he ended up in a special academy for the arts. He was first chair first violin, something his parents were... majorly proud of and violently forceful on the belief that he had to keep his chair.
He's super stuck up and acts like he's soooo amazing. He loves music with all of his heart and will basically consider you beneath him immediately unless you're like... somewhat like him. It's hard to reach.
So, he's a musical genius, child prodigy, and super narcissistic. What other horrible qualities does he have?
He's so flirty. He will flirt with everyone and everything. You know how stereotypical it is for bards to try and get into everybody's pants? He fits the stereotype there too.
Okay okay okay. So he sucks, right? You know why he sucks more? He can't seem to express what he really feels. God, what a baby! Am I right?
But no, I'm not. He's kind of a big baby looking for love without any kind of knowledge on how to get there. He was corrupted and beaten into submission by his parents, who, by the way, were practically public about their numerous affairs and how ice cold they were to each other, and was forced into a character of snobbiness and flirtation.

After all, the rich play a special game and he had to be a master at it.

Strengths: Playing most instruments, Varian can navigate social situations very well, and hiding his true intentions/feelings

Flaws: Oh goodness here we go. He's the biggest narcissist since Narcissus himself. Or like, second only beneath Cherik or something. He's always flirting and always playing people so he can get something for himself. He's always pushing himself to be the best so his parents don't beat the crap out of him for doing bad. He's constantly hiding some part of himself so people would like him or hate him or just feel some emotion towards him. He's a mess.

Fears: Dying alone, ending up in an unhappy marriage like his parents, people hating him so much that they basically ostracize him forever and never even try to recognize him again, some large animal mauling him to death, small, enclosed spaces.

Hobbies: Okay. Get ready. Violin, viola, cello, double bass, guitar, bass, piano, mandolin, lure, singing, ballroom dancing, ballet, flirting, public speaking, feeling trapped and like an imposter because he feels one thing but completely ignored it to impress his parents, impressing his parents, learning new things. He's a mess.

Backstory: Born to a couple who basically despise each other, Varian was never exactly... shown love. His parents were icy to him and never truly connected with him at all. They were distant to him and each other and didn't try to hide their affairs, except to the public. He was forced to learn and train to be the best since a young age and excelled at it only because he wanted to impress his parents. He excelled at music from a very young age and almost every year he picked up something new. He was sent to boarding school when he was twelve and quickly rose through the ranks. He has always been a fast learned and picked up on many harsh traits from his parents and their company, making him an... unpleasant person to be around.

Why They're Looking Forward to Attending NCIS: Varian is excited to get away from everything he's been expected to do since childhood. If he attends NCIS, he will be breaking from his parents and forging a new path. This was the one decision he allowed himself to follow aside from what new musical hobby he should pick up next. This is what he truly wants.

Health: Physically? Amazing. He's fit, his immune system is running smoothly, he's flexible, he's got a great bod. He's got a lot going for him.
Mentally? Hahahaha he's a mess. He's in a constant internal battle and can rarely even make his own decisions. He's doesn't know what to feel or show and will basically change his opinion to please others. Don't ask him to choose where to go for dinner because he'll just say, "Whatever you want." Even that's hard for him. If you go any farther he'd probably self-destruct.
The only thing he'll make an opinion on is music. If he's asked how something should be played, a specific measure, we'll say, he'll give you a firm and thoughtful answer. He's passionate about that.

Other: He can speak English, Latin, and Italian. It's pretty cool.
