PERSONALITY:
• SARCASTIC
Edmund is an extremely sarcastic person. Any opportunity he gets to pull some sort of smart remark or sarcastic comment- he will most likely take it. Sometimes he doesn't even mean to be sarcastic but he swears he can't help it! He's very aware that it makes him look rude but he doesn't care about people's opinions. If people have a bad opinion on him, what can he do about it?

• BLUNT/HONEST
He says what he thinks when he thinks it. He's a person who gets to the point. Ed doesn't understand people tiptoeing around a subject, just say what you want to say because it will get you there quicker! He says what he thinks and sometimes can be described as having no filter which isn't always a good thing... It's another one of the many reasons people may see him as rude...
Edmund doesn't like his time wasted therefore he doesn't like to waste other people's time either. That's why he gets to the point straight away. Unless there's a difficult situation that leaves him close to speechless, he will give you an answer, his opinion or his thoughts almost straight away.

WITTY
He's very quick with his responses most of the time and he has comebacks that practically just roll from his tongue. He has a very witty yet dry and cheeky sense of humour. If he can get away with making that joke or comment he's gonna do it. He's just quick with his responses which can be pretty humorous at times however it also goes hand in hand with his sarcasm.

SECRETIVE
He is a witch but he keeps it hidden, sometimes it's clear he may be hiding something and that secret would of course include him being a witch. If he's ever asked about powers or witchcraft he avoids the topic as much as he can. Due to his witty and sarcastic personality he can get away without although many people around him may see him as untrustworthy as he dodges any questions on the topic. He can slip through the cracks as he often doesn't even give a straight answer anyway... Some people may see this as suspicious as they obviously don't know he's hiding being a witch although many know he's hiding something. He's very used to hiding this part of himself so he's quite good at it now!

WISE
Edmund may hide the fact that he is a witch however he is very knowledgeable on his craft. He studies spells and practices them a lot so he knows many spells and how to perform them. He has a lot of wisdom- mainly on spells and witchcraft but he's also very clever and wise in some other aspects. Part of his wisdom comes from the fact that he is extremely REALISTIC and sometimes that may make him look very PESSIMISTIC. He's helpful when it comes to making things like plans as he looks at every aspect of what could happen and will point out everything that could be dangerous or go wrong. This can help as it can prepare people for what could await and it could also reduce the danger in some places as he often remembers and thinks about aspects that others may overlook.

DETERMINED
If Ed puts his mind to something he will do anything that he can to do it. He fights hard and will find a way to do whatever he wants to do. If he's in a group of people he can also be encouraging to them to keep them determined and up for the task. He will not properly rest if he needs to get something done purely because it will be on his mind constantly. If he makes a decision to do something he has to do it and it is rare that he will change his mind. It's almost like his brain locks on decisions and certain 'duties'.

RELIABLE
Edmund is often a good person to rely on for a number of situations. If he gives you some information about something it's most likely a very reliable source of information. However he himself is not always reliable because he believes that by helping people he should also get something out of it. Unless he really likes you for some reason, he'll probably ask "well what's in it for me?"
His information is reliable but if he can't see a clear benefit for him- he's going to challenge you and try get something out of it for himself.

STUBBORN
As much as he can be a determined person, he is very rarely determined to change his attitude towards someone if they have done him wrong. Yes he's one of those people that holds grudges against others if he has a good enough reason to. Ed doesn't like people doing him wrong and he's not very forgiving however this is mainly towards people that he already didn't have the best opinion on... But not always!
He can also be someone who's very stubborn to change his opinion on things. It's somewhat hard to change his opinion, unless he is completely proven wrong.
Dawson enjoys being right and he can be a little smug about it... Okay very smug about it! He likes being right especially when others didn't listen to him. That way he can say 'told you so'.

CURIOUS
To say Edmund has his fair share of secrets would be an understatement, however he hates secrets (unless they're his own!) but he also enjoys a good mystery. He is attracted to mystery and secrets. He wants to find out and he enjoys a good challenge which is where his DETERMINATION also comes into the picture. He likes to find out whatever he can about people and their lives. Edmund if often seen as that person who wants to know everything he can about you yet you may not know a single thing about him, except from the fact he's sarcastic and cheeky as hell.

LAID BACK
He is a very calm person who will often just sit back and watch how things turn out, unless he really needs to step in of course. Most of the time Edmund couldn't care less about what is going on around him. Unless it directly affects him he's probably going to be really calm. He's often calm even in surprising situations that you wouldn't expect anyone to be calm in! He very rarely panics about things because hey if you panic- you're only suffering twice, right?

SELFISH
Sometimes he can be a very selfish person. He thinks about himself and how he will be effected. Can you blame him? The boys always been on his own and had to fight. So yes, he thinks about himself and his safety. Maybe his selfish tendencies will be broken if he cares about someone and their safety too. It's very possible for him to care for others but right now he doesn't have anyone else to care for, so why not think about his own safety?

EMOTIONAL
He may not show it but he actually is more emotional and sensitive than he lets on. He doesn't often show his emotions or his sensitive side in fear of looking weak, he's not weak. He may not show it but he may care about some people more than he lets on. His exterior could look completely stone cold but his interior could care a lot more than he lets on. If he grows a bond with someone he holds it close although he may not show it, but if that bond has to break- it has to break.
He's not as emotionless as he makes out, he's human.

VIEW ON THE CORRÁN WAR:
• One of the things he doesn't speak on is his opinions on the Corrán war. He is from Corrán but left for a secret unknown to others. Does he believe some of the things the history books say? Yes. However does he think in some places they're hugely bias? Definitely.

BACKSTORY:
• Edmund used to live in Corrán. He grew up without a father, only his mother. They lived in a small cottage and were just scraping by for money. His mother was also a witch, this is why he is a witch himself. Ed ran away from Corrán many years ago now, he says it was to start a new and better life for himself although there are many reasons he left Corrán that are hidden under the surface.
He ran away late one night, leaving everything behind- even his own mother. He didn't have the heart to tell her, he just ran and left her a note that didn't explain anything properly or tell her his new location. She was the only person he's ever cared for but he cut her off. It's another one of his secrets that he doesn't want exposing. Why did he leave Corrán?
