Personality: Andrés is a rather flirty individual, and though he can act narcissistic and perverted at times, he's actually quite the gentleman around women. Around his crew, however, he is commanding and harsh, often setting strict rules and schedules to make sure everything goes smoothly. He gets angry easily, especially when he is tired or stressed (NOT a morning person at all), but he is a natural born leader and knows how to get things done. He values loyalty above anything else, and is more than happy to kill a traitor in the most brutal way possible. And of course, being a pirate, Andrés is greedy, possessive, and territorial. He cannot stand not getting what he wants.
Likes: sailing, the ocean, his crew, women, his ship, money, winning
Dislikes: royalty, other pirates, disloyalty, stormy days, setbacks, lime flavored anything
Skills/powers: He is trained in the use of a scimitar and a flintlock pistol, as well as different forms of hand to hand combat. He's also a skilled sailor and navigator
Strengths: he is very tactical and a very good leader to his crew. He's also rather strong and very good with the weapons he knows how to use. He's naturally charismatic and his gentlemanly nature gets him a lot of places and out of a lot of trouble.
Weaknesses: he's greedy, rather bossy, and despite treating women nicely, he's a total pervert and doesn't bother trying to hide it. He's also too trusting of others, especially once they've proven themselves, so betrayal hits him hard.
Fears: drowning
Backstory: Andrés was born the son of a Spanish pirate captain named Luis Ochoa, and the younger brother of Johan Ochoa. The two boys grew up on that boat with their father, their mother having died after giving birth to Andrés, and learned the ins and outs of being on a ship. They eventually became mates themselves on the ship when they grew up, and were basically second in commands to their father. When Andrés was sixteen and Johan was nineteen, he discovered that the older boy was stealing gold and treasure from the ship, selling it at different black markets whenever they docked. Andrés told his brother to fess up, and though he said he would, he ended up blaming it on Andrés instead. Enraged by the disloyalty his brother showed to both him and their father, he pushed the boy over the side of the boat, though it was an accident. It didn't help, however, that he was in the blame during the situation, and that there was a storm going on so there was no way to get Johan back on the boat. They never found his body, even after the storm subsided. His father, despite Andrés' apologies and swears that he didn't do it, made the boy walk the plank. He only survived because of the calmer waters and a piece of driftwood that had come off during the storm. He was found by another pirate ship, the captain being a compassionate old man who listened to his tale and welcomed him aboard, assuring nothing but loyalty and hard work. Andrés worked on the ship, doing a lot of manual labor, and eventually worked himself up, becoming the captain when the old man died. Before he died, he described Andrés as the son he never had, and the leader that his crew needed. He has been the captain ever since, from the age of twenty one.
