Backstory:

The first thing Daniel remembers in his life was a crowded room...a crowded room and lots of noises, though that is to be expected when your raised in a orphanage. He never not met his real parents, nor has he ever wanted too. Growing up, he was a bit of an outcast among the other orphans his age; always getting handed the worst of toys, excluded from any sort of game, last one to get any food. As soon as he came of age, Daniel decided enough was enough and planned to leave. Grabbing the little bit of valuables he owned, he clambered out the window one late summer night and ran off into the city. After a year and a half of scrapping by, he managed to scrounge up enough money for a train ticket up North. The train ride then took a bizarre turn as the landscape became a mess of colors and lights as he echoing voice called out his name softly. As soon as the noise stopped, he tentatively looked out the nearest window to see he was surrounded by crystalized stalagmites and a circular throne where a lone man was sitting.
