Scars: Among other scars, his most prominent scar is one that spreads across the upper left part of his face and down his back—almost like a network of spiderwebs. The peculiar pattern was caused by blood vessels bursting in an extensive tree-like pattern after he was struck by powerful lightning during an exploration trip on the planet Yeru. Although his armor was able to absorb most of the impact, the electricity still left its mark. Due to the intensity of the lightning bolt that hit him, the marks became permanent scars instead of fading away.

Personality: Twister is extremely determined and hard-working. He doesn't believe in slacking off, but knows when his squad needs to take a break. That often leads to him overworking himself to the brink of total exhaustion. He is very in-tune with his brothers and knows what they need if the occasion arises, though he hardly pays attention to his own needs. He often comes off as stern, but underneath that tough exterior lays a heart of gold. He cares deeply about his brothers and will do almost anything for them.

Background: Tornado Squad emerged from a batch of clones who showed interest in extreme natural disasters. While the Republic acknowledged how useful it was to have a natural disaster-related clone squad, they only gave them the chance to become a squad because they wanted them to feel like they were important (when they really weren't). They acted out of pity in order to gain the approval of others.

Compared to other squads, Tornado Squad was regarded as "unnecessary". While their combat prowess and overall cohesiveness was something to be proud of, they just weren't given too many chances to really show themselves. The fact that they are considered expendable and could possibly be decommissioned if they don't perform well weighs heavily on Twister. It's why he pushes himself and his squad to be the best they can be, often running himself ragged in the process. They worked hard for this. Losing it and going back to being just a number in an army of millions was not an option. Twister takes pride in being different than the rest of his brothers in the GAR.

Thanks to the efforts of Fives, Twister got an early warning and was able to bring his squad to safety before Order 66 hit. They laid low in an abandoned outpost and went radio silent so that when the order was given, they wouldn't be affected. Squall began removing their chips over a span of four days. Gust and Hail were the only casualties and both Twister and Squall feel guilty for their deaths. The squad lived out of the outpost for several months until the Empire discovered them, forcing them to flee.

Strengths: Because he's a sergeant, Twister is a very good leader. He keeps his squadron in line and on task during a job. Even during chaos, he remains calm and collected so that the job can be done right. Like Rex, he thinks outside the box and doesn't believe in blindly following orders that aren't right. His great compassion is another strength that allows him to see things from a different view when working with other people.

Weaknesses: One of his major weaknesses would be his emotions. His squad means everything to him and losing them would push him over the edge. He can deal with the teasing of the other clones, but he draws the line when Jedi speak of his squad as unnecessary and expendable. This fear leads into anger, which often gives him a bad image without him intending to.
