Caring
If innocence was a person, that would have been Etheldred when she was younger. Finding no harm in the world. Seeing only the charms of nature and humanity. Crime, death, grief, greed, jealousy, all non-existent in the early years of her life, even as she was forced to marry, it was none of these feelings that touched her heart, simply frustration in her parent's choice. Her story changes here, from goodness to greatness, yet this innocence developed into a strong sense of care for those around her. Small and tall alike. Someone's past and reputation will not interfere the feelings of care she will have upon meeting a person. It is but their response to her open display of care and friendliness that will help her determine if this is a person at loss of hope, or still filled with strays of light.
Stoic
Much like her husband, Etheldred knows when to shut off her inner emotions, appearing as a strong and reliable leader. While she never openly participated in war, she had her fingers in the outcomes of quite some battles. Surrounded by men, she had no choice but to appear strong and emotionless if she were to convince them to follow her lead. Thus, she can come of as rather reserved, especially in the presence of royals and nobles where she decides to match her husband's expression and appearance as to not embarrass him or degrade his role. She would rather have a bad reputation of being reserved than be posed as weak next to Achard.
Joyous
Despite her need to be stoic and shut off Etheldred is a joyous and energy filled woman. Finding joy and excitement in the small things. When allowed to relax, simply be herself, she radiates a calm joy, smiling, dancing and singing at every given chance. Much like her husband, she also loves children, having yet strength in her body to play with them as if she was young once again. Her joy is present in many forms, in the way she plays with children, squeals at the first snowfall and the presence of the first spring flower. But also in the way she easily lets soft chuckles leave her lips, compliment that worth complimenting and keeping sour faces out of the way.
Persistent
Joyous, caring and stoic, all traits that mix into a wonderful stew of persistence. She is not the one to give up or back away once she has set her mind on something, Pushing and working as hard as possible until she either has achieved what she set out for, or realises that it is not worth spending energy on anymore. One might say it makes her headstrong, how she works so hard to achieve what she dreams of, and how she more often than not manages reach that goal.

•Background Information•
|Background|
A child born into marriage, as is the tale of many females in the Elurran farmer community. Ethelred's story would be no different, besides the fact that she was to marry her best friend. Unknown of the future that was planned out for he she grew up as any child would, surrounded by joy, love and friendship. As it turns out, residing on the neighbouring farm was also her husband to be, which she grew up alongside with. Learning archery, spending days running among green tress and hiking mountains to see the purple lights of the winter. Her childhood years passed in a blur, and before she knew it, the year of her marriage arrived. To say the news were taken lightly would be an understatement. She was furious, too be married off just like that, how could her parents ever do such a thing?! Until she realised who the man she was to marry was. Achard; her childhood best friend, the boy she was once so close with. The man she had not seen since he left for the royal guard, what three years ago? Suddenly the day of the marriage was upon her, Achard had been nowhere to see until that very day, and she realised then that the young boy she once knew so well had completely changed. They married, they had their days together, catching up, finding back to the strong friendship that once was before Achard was pulled back to his duty and sent to war.
But this is where her story begins, while her husband was off fighting for the royal guard, she met a group of hunters during a trip in the forest. A group of hunters she would grow close with, that would teach her to battle, teach her the basics of survival, treat her as one of their own. She learnt to stand on her own two feet, learnt to survive, learnt her too fight. While it is not spoken of as grandly as her husband's victories, she's had a hand in the outcome of quite some battles. The two became a powerful pair, and while Achard takes the credit, the two knows it is a shared victory.
Unfortunately, among all this greatness is also great sorrow. They experienced many victories in the face of the people, their personal lives were not as fortunate. There was but one thing missing, children, yet no matter how hard they tried it seemed they could not experience both victories. During the birth of yet another child Ethelred fell sick, very sick. Her survival can only be described as a miracle, still their joy would not last long. Only four years old their child caught a horrible fever. A fever that never seemed to end, until it killed her. Now childless, the bond between husband and wife grew tighter, until Achard once again was called back to his duties, and Ethelred found back to her companions.
