Personality: Waylen never really had a chance to emotionally mature until after he met Cain. He was a normal and happy baby but was severely emotionally supressed as a kid and throughout his teen years. It was mostly because of the medication he was put on but also partly because of where he spent most of his time. He's always tried to be somewhat of an optimist but his spirit faded over the years. When he met Cain and escaped everything he quickly developed a more outgoing and exploratory personality. Because he had been supressed for so long he was eager to express himself. He was very curious about everything and loved learning about new things. He's extremely loyal and stubborn when it comes to things he believes are right. He loves sarcasm and messing with people. He has a hard time controlling or containing his emotions so it's best if he avoids situations that trigger a strong emotional response. There are days when he has a hard time expressing much of anything but he's been working on that with Cain.

Powers/Skills: Mental Projection; meaning he can create illusions and change people's perception of what's happening around them. His illusions generally can't cause physical harm but he knows he can because he's done it before. It takes a large amount of energy and is basically a one time move during a fight. It's risky. He also knows basic self defense and some offensive close quarter moves. He learned most of the fighting he knows from Cain and can fend for himself in sticky situations.

Backstory: Waylen was born that same fateful day as the rest of his fellow "freaks". He was born into a family of four, him being the third child. He was obviously an unexpected baby but they kept him nevertheless. As he grew his parents stopped paying as much attention to him. They eventually had another child that was actually there's so they had other priorities. His older siblings seemed to try and do things with him more so than not, but as soon as he started mentioning seeing things no one else could that's when everything went downhill. They had ignored it through his childhood but then decided to do something about it when he turned 12. He had been in and out of doctors offices before his parents decided to take an offer and sent him to a psychiatric hospital though the organization that gave them the deal knew what they were dealing with. They told him he was being treated for hallucinations and delusions, but they actually gave him medication that would supress his powers. This adversely affected his emotional health and how he functioned leading to him trying to skip medication times. Sometimes he got away with it and eventually he realized the things he was seeing were things he was thinking of. He spent years of his life being forced to supress his powers, though it became easier and easier to overcome the medication. The medication still made things foggy and put him in a haze but he was able to test his powers and prove his theories. The day he realized he could use his powers on other people was the day he escaped. At the age of 18 he had finally had enough. He knew well enough his parents weren't coming back and he didn't want to stay trapped in the facility the rest of his life. He planned his route and did his best but it wasn't enough. The only reason he escaped is because he was able to create an illusion that physically affected the environment and people in it. He wasn't exactly sure what he had done but he knew it was his chance so he ran. By the time he reached civilization he realized he had no where to go. He was cornered and exhausted when he was found by the facility employees. The thing that saved him that day was his will to escape and live his own life. He put up quite the fight, eventually attracting the attention of another super, Cain. Cain murdered those facility workers but he couldn't care less since it set him free. He's been loyal to Cain ever since and truly believes in his mission.

Other: In the facility he had a hard time telling reality from his own thoughts and dreams. He still struggles with this problem and sometimes needs help from another person to convince him he's in reality. Very rarely if he absolutely cannot tell it causes him to have a panic attack. Cain and him have created a code that only works in reality. Usually both of them will use one hand and touch each finger to their own thumb. Four fingers means it's reality since dreams typically distort how many fingers a person has. Also, his parents could see every illusion he created, they just pretended they didn't because the facility had come to them earlier.
