Personality: Mila is a very outgoing and confident person.  She's extremely open minded and very accepting of everything.  Don't misunderstand though, despite being so accepting of people she isn't afraid to tell you what she thinks.  She doesn't tolerate arrogant or selfish people and won't hesitate to explain to them why they need to get an attitude adjustment.  Overall she's very friendly and can be sarcastic.  She gets this from Jaime whereas she gets her stubbornness and energy from Bart.  One second she'll be calm and collected and then the next second she can be bouncing off the walls in excitement. She doesn't let others bring her down and she really doesn't care what people think about her.  She's always herself and she's not afraid to show it.  She's a good person to come to for advice or just to talk.  She keeps secrets a secret no matter what the secret is or who wants to know.  She wouldn't even tell her closest friend someone else's secret.  This is because she has her own secrets that she wouldn't want people knowing if she told someone.

Likes: Nature, adventures, all kinds of music but mostly classic rock, helping others, being there for her friends, being herself, making new friends, her family, training, and figuring people out.

Dislikes: Talking about the scarab or more specifically what happened before it started cooperating, arrogant and selfish people, sometimes ignorant people, when others are dishonest or manipulative, messing up, and losing control to the scarab.

Pet Peeve: When someone says something that ticks off her scarab.  Obviously people can't help it but they don't have to hear the ongoing comments from her scarab after they say something wrong or stupid.  She's not too picky though because she has gotten used to it by now.  She just ignores the scarab's irrelevant and overdramatic comments.

(*Traci was her mother and Jaime is her father but Mila was raised by Bart and Jaime.  Traci was never a big part of her life.  Bart is technically her step father)

Powers: She personally has a bit of magic energy that she inherited from her mom but her brother is the one that inherited most of the magic from their mother. The red scarab is able to make an exoskeleton suit like her dad's that protects her from most things.  She hasn't really unlocked it's full potential but at this point she can fly and shape different parts of the suit into weapons.

Background: Mila grew up with a generally normal childhood.  Sure she found out pretty early that her dad was Blue Beetle and her other dad was Impulse but that didn't bother her.  She was ecstatic when she found out because she couldn't believe her dads were superheroes.  The thing that did bother her a bit for a while was the fact that her mother left with her twin after they were born.  Though after a lot of thought and explanations and meet ups with her mother and her twin brother, she finally accepted the fact that her dad (Jaime) and her mom didn't truly love each other the way they did their other partners (Bart for Jaime and Natasha Irons for Traci).  She got to hang out with her brother pretty often so they became close like twins usually are.  He showed her the magic that he had inherited though she didn't have anything to show him since she was born with minimal magic energy.  Regardless they were basically inseparable.  (She was 15) One night while she was sleeping in her room, one of Blue Beetle's enemies, Black Beetle, returned for revenge.  He planted the red scarab near Mila while she slept so that it then crawled onto her back and fused itself with her spine.  She screamed in pain which alerted her fathers.  Before they could do anything Mila and Black Beetle were already gone. Jaime and Bart spent days searching for her with no luck, they even got some of the justice league to help search.  When they finally did find her she was different.  Black Beetle had used the scarab to gain control of her and use her for evil.  The Reach could control the scarab which allowed them to take control of her body as well.  They used her to do horrible things all while she could only mentally protest.  It didn't take long for her father (Blue Beetle) to try and corrupt her scarab.  During a fight he tried to reset it so that she could gain back control.  It partially worked but Black Beetle stopped him before he could succeed completely.  She was able to regain some semblance of a conscience.  By regaining control she decided to use her powers against Black Beetle to help her fathers defeat him.  Long story short they did end up beating Black Beetle and destroying his scarab but not before he fixed the red scarab to regain control.  However this time Mila wasn't going to let bad things happen again.  She used what little magic energy she had to override the scarab's control and free it and her from the Reach.  It was a tiring process that could have actually killed her.  Jaime wasn't the happiest that his daughter had to go through the same thing he had gone through with the scarab but he was glad to have her back.  She learned how to cooperate with the scarab and how to control it so that no one gets hurt though she knows she needs more training.  Despite everything that has happened she decided to stay positive and not let anything get to her.  Since the incident, her fathers have been extremely protective over her and were at first reluctant to send her to the institution but new it would be good for her.  The scarab can only be separated from her after she dies or after it is destroyed (which is near impossible to do).

Other: She does have a bit of an accent courtesy of Jaime and sometimes she substitutes a Spanish word for an English word but this is very rarely or when she's really upset.  Since the scarab is fused to her spine (between her shoulder blades so that she can hide it with clothes), it can speak to her in her mind.  She might say things here and there to herself that don't make sense and that's because she's actually talking to the scarab.  The only reason the scarab cooperates is because it would rather work with Mila than be a slave to the Reach.  One thing that is extremely important to note is that Mila and the scarab both have control over each other.  While Mila is conscious she has more power over the scarab and can override any decisions it makes but when she gets knocked out or becomes unconscious the scarab with gain control and defend her and itself pretty ruthlessly.
