Blood Stained Hands
I'm relived to see that many are liking the rewrite so far! It's a relief. I honestly do enjoy reading the comments left as well, it lifts my spirits to see that so many are enjoying it and are getting into the story even if there is only so few parts at the moment.
I hope that everyone continues to enjoy the story and the chapters to come!
Also, please check out the various warnings within the appropriate place - AKA; the Index. I say this because darker elements are going to start truly coming in now. Not full on, full blast, or anything like that, not yet, but as time goes on it will get darker and darker. Not to say there won't be lighter moments/elements and even silly moments/elements, I just don't want anyone to be triggered when that could have been avoided. If this story is not for you then please go check out other ones.
Now, with that out of the way, let's get this chapter started shall we~?
-Chapter Start-
{When--}
"DELUSION!"
Diving out of the way, Delusion mentally sighed. Another day, another AU to destroy, another fight. His bones creek and crack in protest while Stain's enraged yell echoes in his head, making him more dizzy than normal.
But he's fought in worse conditions.
Turning his body sharply, a sickening crack sounding out as he did so, Delusion quickly knocked Stain's large pen he had summon out of the way, narrowly dodging the sharp end that could have cut him in half a̶g̶a̶i̶n̶ .
"Delusion, I swear to the fucking stars if you don't give up right now--" Stain growled, waving a hand and summoning large ink pens above him. All of them shifting to point at Delusion.
"WiLL yoU GivE UP CReaTiNG IF i DO?" Delusion asked softly, already knowing the answer but like a delusional fool always hoping for the opposite.
Of course having to dodge the pens that flew at him like arrows, the pens stabbing into the ground so deep that they went down halfway and then proceeding to explode like some sort of ink-bomb, was the answer Delusion was given. Something he expected to be honest. Hissing in pain when some of the ink from the would-be pen arrow bombs splattered onto him, Delusion tried to ignore how the dark red ink bubbled and steamed on his bones, eating it away. It's fine. It has to be fine.
'I've been through worse.' A mantra in Delusion's mind. Not untrue in the slightest, but still doesn't make it better.
He's just so tired of all this. Of this fucking game where there is no escape.
W̶h̶y̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶a̶l̶l̶ ̶e̶n̶d̶?̶
{--will--}
'This is it.' Stain grimly thought to himself. 'Today is the day. No more of this.'
Taking a metal leveler stained in ink and paint, he quickly stabs Delusion's arm. Grinning savagely at the pained noise this gets, Stain has enough time to twist it in before Delusion kicks him off. Rolling with the kick, Stain twists up on his feet in a crouch, eyes on Delusion as he yanks the leveler out without even blinking.
Summoning some small pens, holding them in between his fingers, he stabs them into the ground--the ink seeping in and spreading at a fast rate, making Delusion having to rush to dodge it as it distorts the ground like some-sort of abstract painting. Watching the murder with focused eyes, Stain doesn't miss a beat when he rushes Delusion, slamming into his side and making sure to shatter a few ribs with the impact.
Rolling, he grunts in pain when strings grab him and shove him away. Taking a pen he cuts the strings as quickly as he can, hissing at the burns it leaves on him. Scoffing, he gets up and reaches for a ink so red it might as well be black, with little dark purple specks in it, looking like poison. A certain thing he mixed together, hopefully to get the results he wanted--no, needed.
See, the thing about killing someone? It's so simple and easy. And in the end, comes down to a decision. A decision that you are the only one going to walk away from the fight alive. The rest is just details and body parts. After all, once you make that decision you have the conviction to do it where the other might not--and in the end, it's so disgustingly simple to end a life.
And Stain?
Stain decided, as soon as he took a step into the now empty AU that Delusion had slaughtered he had decided, that he was the only one walking away from this fight still breathing.
He's so fucking tired of this sick ass game that Delusion seems to be playing, making up reasons and excuses for it. Stain has enough trouble with Delirium and his army of insane goons, he doesn't need added trouble from Delusion.
It's do and die, and Stain isn't the one going to die here.
H̶e̶'̶s̶ ̶g̶o̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶e̶n̶d̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶i̶f̶ ̶i̶t̶'̶s̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶l̶a̶s̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶h̶e̶ ̶d̶o̶e̶s̶.̶
{--this--}
The fight had been going on for so long, longer than Delusion thought it would. Usually there is a small opening to where he could quickly portal away--but Stain hasn't been giving any openings like that at all. Even if he ties him up in his strings, Stain uses the pens stabbed into the ground or laying around to make sure he can't get away.
There's something different in the air, something different with Stain--and Delusion doesn't know what it is. All he knows is that it's harder to breathe, the longer the fight going on the harder it is to keep going.
One moment is all he needs to get away and rest as much as he can while the Voices screaming at him.
But one moment is all Stain needs as well.
{--game--}
It happened in a split second. So quick that no one could have predicated it or stopped it.
Delusion's ankle cracked and gave out on him, forcing him to fall backwards while trying to dodge a stab from Stain's pen.
Stain followed his movements, and with Delusion unable to move quick enough, stabbed his pen right into his eye socket.
{--finally--}
'This is it!'
Quick as lightening Stain shoved the very dark and ominous ink into the pen and injected it into Delusion's skull. Just as fast he harshly pulled the pen out, allowing the ink to spill all over his skull and eye sockets.
It happened all within a few seconds.
F̶u̶n̶n̶y̶ ̶h̶o̶w̶ ̶q̶u̶i̶c̶k̶l̶y̶ ̶l̶i̶v̶e̶s̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶ ̶c̶h̶a̶n̶g̶e̶.̶
{--end?}
"ARRHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"
{It just takes a moment.}
One step, as light as a butterfly and just as silent.
{A split second.}
Silently coming up behind Fate, Destiny's grin grows under the shadows of her hood. Her eyes wide, almost with a feral gleam in them.
{Tell me; What wouldn't a mother do for her children?}
"Haaaaah~" Fate looked amused as he watched the carnage and pain. "Seems that Delusion is going to have future troubles with destroying with this. Oh well--"
{The answer? It's simple.}
Faster than a blink, Destiny yanks a knife out of her cloak and strikes.
{A--}
"Wha--!!!" Choking on blood, Fate falls forward. The knife buried deep into his back right over where his SOUL. The knife glows a bright blue, slowly turning to a bright red as it sucks up the power within Fate and his SOUL.
{--mother--}
Destiny doesn't let up. As soon as Fate is down she yanks the knife and and brings it down.
Again.
Again.
Again.
And again.
Over and over.
Until she can feel no warmth.
{--would--}
Panting harshly, Destiny lifts up her bloodied hands and took at them. Tears flowing down she laughs while straddling Fate's dying body from behind. Oh, how it hurts.
She has many lovely memories of her brother. When they were younger she could recall Fate smilingly so sweetly at her, holding her hand when she got scared and was always quick to give out hugs with a beaming grin.
But, in the end, she has too many bad memories, and good memories do not make up for what he has done. Despite it all however, some part of her loves Fate. Loves her brother who would sing her to sleep and kiss her forehead goodnight. But a bigger part of her hates him. Hates what he has done to the Multiverse, hates what he has done to the children within it. Hates what he has done to her chosen child.
In the end, hate and love are two sides of the same coin, able to become one or the other within a snap. Destiny knew what she had to do, and she'd do it again and again without regrets.
{--do--}
Standing up, Destiny now covered in blood drops the dirty knife. Kneeling down besides Fate, she gently grabs him and flips him over. Lifting up the top half of his body, she cradles him close, running a hand through his hair as she hums with such a motherly smile.
Fate, still alive, blood gushing out of him, coughs and looks up to meet her eyes.
All he can see is madness.
Eyes so motherly and kind, yet with specks of a sort of madness he can't explain. A powerful thing that if he had seen before would have foretold his death, because looking into those eyes now, he can see that she has been planning this for a while.
"De....stin...y..." Wetly coughing, Fate tries turning his head to look at her better. "S...ist...er...wh...y...?"
{--anything.}
"Shhhhh~" Gently hushing Fate, Destiny cuddles him close, smiling through her tears. "Oh brother, my brother, I would say I'm sorry but I'm not. For what else could a mother do when someone is harming their children?" She knows Fate will never understand, but that's fine. Now that he will not be a threat or a knife hanging over everyone, it is fine if he never understands.
With his life slowly leaving him, making sure that the knife she used sealed up his powers and SOUL tightly, Destiny focuses on making sure that her brother doesn't fall asleep alone. Much like how he used to do when she was younger, she holds him close, hums a song, and kisses his forehead.
Soon, his eyes close.
Soon, a disturbing smile grows on Destiny's face, eyes hidden from sight but showing nothing but intent and happiness.
F̶a̶t̶e̶ ̶w̶i̶l̶l̶ ̶n̶o̶ ̶l̶o̶n̶g̶e̶r̶ ̶c̶o̶v̶e̶r̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶a̶n̶y̶o̶n̶e̶ ̶o̶r̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶c̶e̶ ̶a̶n̶y̶t̶h̶i̶n̶g̶,̶ ̶e̶v̶e̶r̶y̶o̶n̶e̶ ̶w̶i̶l̶l̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶m̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶i̶r̶ ̶o̶w̶n̶ ̶d̶e̶s̶t̶i̶n̶y̶ ̶b̶a̶s̶e̶d̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶i̶r̶ ̶a̶c̶t̶i̶o̶n̶s̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶c̶h̶o̶i̶c̶e̶s̶;̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶g̶o̶o̶d̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶b̶a̶d̶.̶
{Actions have consequences.}
Screaming in pure pain, Delusion is somehow able to get Stain off of him as he scrambles. Clawing at his face, unable to see, he causes himself more damage.
Having no idea what the ink has done, Stain can't allow himself to pause at the sight of the screaming destroyer who may be faking it, nor of the sight blood gushing out mixing with the ink as it all distorts and burns at him. While it is doing damage, he can't really tell what it is doing. Delusion is covering his eyes where the attack was concentrated so it is impossible to tell. It wasn't his intent on whatever it is doing, he was aiming for instant death more than anything and Stain doesn't even truly know what all the ink did to Delusion as it was experimental at best, but with him distracted he knows to make his move. Quickly putting some ink onto his hands, he makes his move.
Grabbing Delusion, ducking the other's limbs, uses magic to push himself up into the air with Delusion in his hold. He winces at Delusion's pained screams, his ink covered hands burning Delusion and leaving deep burns and marks on the other's bones as it burns through the glitch's clothing. He planned to end it all right there, to use one hand to grab a pen and cut off the other's head, but then Delusion finally moved his hands.
Gasping sharply at the sight of empty eye sockets, a deep color with glitches and ERRORS all inside of it, slowly fading into nothingness as blood and ink gush out making a horrible mix. His bones distorting and cracking further, melting and moving in impossible ways--it's something out of a horror movie. "Delusion....?" Stain breathes out under the screams of his enemy.
He wanted to kill Delusion, yes. He in no way wanted to torture someone! It would make him no better than Delirium and Delusion!
In shock, Stain doesn't keep his tight grip on Delusion. So when Delusion shoved at him, although more weaker than normal, he drops Delusion.
{No matter what or who it is, when one door closes a hundred more open.}
Destiny watches through the mirror with a smile. "Oh, my child, I'm so sorry for this pain..." She sighs, running a hand down the mirror's side. "...But, now, you are free from Fate's strings. Now, choices can be made, no matter what road it might take you on and what end may be waiting."
Watching as Delusion panics and makes a portal, his magic going everywhere and unable to focus on one spot, watching as Stain watches in horrified shock as Delusion drops and escapes, Destiny knows that the Multiverse's life hangs in the balance.
Yet, despite it all, no matter if it is the death of everything or everything turns out fine, she is happy.
For in the end, she has no control over their destinies. Only they do. Yet, she can see it all. So many roads, so many roadblocks, so many choices to be made.
And as she watches as two certain Monsters notice Delusion coming into their Multiverse, well....
Destiny smiles as the destinies of many come together before glancing at her bloody hands.
She wonders where this destiny will lead.
{The game never ends; once one stops, another starts.}
Landing with a sickening crunch, unable to control himself or his powers, Delusion screams and screams until he's unable to scream anymore. Unable to even tell where he is while nothing but pain enters his very SOUL and DESTRUCTION echoes out all around him.
Meanwhile, not too far away, two heads snap up. Looking in the direction of where a certain destroyer had fallen.
And, on the other side of the Multiverse, Stain looks at his hands blankly, watching the blood and ink on them dry.
{Only time will tell what rules this game has, if any.}
-End Chapter-
Sorry for taking so long to update! Despite the long wait I hope that everyone enjoyed the chapter even if it wasn't worth the wait.
This chapter is more of a transition sort of chapter. Not to say nothing important happens--because a lot of important things do happen, but it mainly focuses on two scenes and doesn't show a whole lot of other characters, leading into the next part. This chapter is what gets the main plot started and rolling. Not a lot of talking in this chapter, but more of that will happen in the next chapter.
Also, final thing to say but not the least, I would like to thank whoever left me a Ko-Fi! They did it anonymously, although I do know their name due to the payment going to PayPal, but as they didn't say their name on Ko-Fi I won't share it just in case they don't want anyone to know. But if you're seeing this, and you know who you are, I want to give a big thanks!
