I have this thing about having even numbers of chapters in every book I write, and this is the first story I've completely published onto the internet so it's even more important for that to be a thing! So here's an author's note. (ps: I like the number 25 much more than 22 so I think it might be fair to say to expect three extra chapters??)

Hi lovely readers! There's not many of you, but unlike Past Me, Present Me is just grateful she's been able to finish this story. Even though I'd had it completed long before I published the first chapter, something feels different about being able to mark a story complete. 

If anyone's wondering why I published chapter 20, the epilogue, and this note all in the same day, it's because I saw Harry Styles in concert yesterday (May 5th) in Hong Kong. I was visiting my family in Shanghai and figured hey, why not stop by for two nights?

{Quick note on the relationship in this story before I actually get into what I wanna say in here: Larry Stylinson is the only ship I genuinely, completely, with all of my soul, ship. I've watched quite a lot of Youtube videos in the past months that give me so much inspiration for these stories. Even in the non-fandom stories I've written (they exist, they're just in hiding:), the character's names are changed but in the cast I always having Louis and Harry, and whoever they're cast as are always dating. It's something about their looks and names and everything that makes me so drawn to writing about them. That being said, this whole book was a work of complete fiction. I'm not in any way trying to force my personal opinions and views on anyone with this story. I write pretty much any ship (Ziam, Lashton, Malum, etc.) and with all of them it's legitimately just their looks, and this story isn't any different. I'm not claiming to know how Louis and Harry's real-life personalities are because I don't know them! Thanks}

Okay, that's done!

I put a lot of effort into this book. Not so much time, seeing as this was pretty much all written in one night where I was really inspired (except for the epilogue that was rush-written about five minutes ago and still ended up being double the length of the normal chapters). I am incredibly proud of this story, though. I genuinely love the plot idea, I love the characterization and how you can see the contrast within the switches between freshmen and juniors. 

I honestly don't know what else to say here, like I said before I feel the need to have an A/N here (at least until those extra chapters write themselves) because I really don't like having uneven amounts of chapters.

So, yeah! I hope you guys (no matter how small the reads number is I'm going to address y'all as a large crowd) enjoyed Obsession! This story is the first one I've ever completed (JK I have shit up on AO3 that's long completed, @nohomostylinson on there as well!) and I'm so hecking proud of it.
