You didn't know how to handle anything. Class was about to end in three minutes and then you would all get a ten minute break. You weren't prepared for that. Everyone seemed like they all had their group of friends and no one seemed to be alone. Then there's going to be you all by yourself.

So in the meantime, you kept yourself distracted writing down the notes. Until the moment you were dreading arrived. "Read page fifty-six for next class. Have a good day." Your teacher said and walked out of the room.

Here is the moment.

Awkwardly, you sat there for a while, watching everyone leave their seats to talk or walk out of the classroom. What were you to do?

"Hello!" A friendly voice said.

You quickly turned to the source. In front of you was a tall girl with short light brown hair. "I'm Jeongyeon." She smiled, momentarily blinding you with her prettiness.

Next to her, there was another girl sitting on the desk of your neighbor. Your neighbor looked slightly irritated. "Geez." He whispered.

"Hi." You smiled at her. This was your chance to make friends! Just be cool!

Jeongyeon sat down in the now unoccupied seat and faced you. "Those two are my friends. C'mon introduce yourselves!" She encouraged both of them.

The girl on the desk only laughed. "My name is Nayeon! Nice to meet you." Then she smacked the hand of the guy that was sitting. "Your turn."

The guy rolled his eyes. "Hi, my name is Bang Chan." He gave you a smile.

"Oh, nice to meet all of you." You smiled back, happy that you weren't awkwardly sitting by yourself. Maybe they could be your first friends? Hopefully.

"So where did you come from?" Nayeon asked with a smile. "Like out of the country? City?"

"I'm from Busan." You replied.

"Nice!" Jeongyeon said. "We're all from here, except for that kangaroo." She pointed at Chan, who lightly frowned. "He's from Australia."

Chris nodded in agreement. "Yeah..."

"Did you want to eat lunch with us?" Nayeon asked, a friendly smile on her face. "It's just us three that hang out a lot."

Could this possibly be your first time to make some friends? You weren't letting this opportunity slip by. "Sure!" You smiled, happy that you weren't going to eat by yourself!

"Nice." Nayeon smiled back at you. "So-" The bell cut her off as it signaled for students to return to class if they left as the next class was starting. "That wasn't even ten minutes..." She mumbled, a bit annoyed.

Jeongyeon rolled her eyes playfully. "We'll eat lunch together so don't worry, you'll have plenty of time to rant about it." The two girls returned to their seats in the near front.

"Are they usually like this?" You asked Chan besides you. You wanted to start a little conversation in hopes to know them a bit better.

He shrugged his shoulders. "Most of the time. How do you like it so far?"

"Everything's good so far. It just feels weird at a new school and everything." You said.

"I understand." Chan smiled. That was adorable since you spotted a dimple! "It's way different here in Korea than Australia."

You agreed with him, knowing how changing countries would be hard and turned back to the front as the teacher came in. "Alright, so we're learning more about plant cells, okay?" She smiled and opened the textbook and went into a discussion about cells.

You were sort of paying attention. You glanced around the room to see some students paying attention, writing down notes or completely staring off into space. Though you were a bit shocked to see a boy staring right at you with an irritated look on his face. His doe eyes blinked at you and then he turned around again.

Did you already make an enemy? How rude. Oh well, it wasn't your problem.

The bell rang out for lunch. Your newly acquainted friends shot up from their seats and the girls immediately came right over to you. "Let's go eat."

You smiled at them and followed them out of the classroom, not before taking a glance at some of the students who decided to remain in the class. The boy from before took out his lunch and placed it on his desk. You shrugged and went to the cafeteria. You were slightly amazed at the large space. It was way different from your old school.

The trio led you to a line to get food. They started to talk to you about your interest - turns out you and Chris like music a lot - and if you wanted to hang out with them after school. You accepted the invitation, thinking that they were nice people.

You got your tray of food that smelled amazing. Damn, this school knew what it was doing. You followed your new friends to a table and sat down. They kept you entertained. Honestly, you didn't think you would actually make any friends, but here you were. You glanced around the cafeteria, checking out the modern look. Seriously, was this school rich?

Ah, if it was, you wouldn't be able to even go.

The room had nice round tables for the students with chairs. Modern looking lights hung from the ceiling with a high ceiling. The only color was white along with the black metal counters where lunch was served. A glass fridge also stood by that contained different drinks. It's where you got your banana milk from. You noticed some of the students walk outside to eat their lunch. You didn't blame them, it was nice out.

Then you noticed the boy from before outside. The one who was giving you an irritated look for some reason. He was carrying a book with his food and claimed the spot under a tree. He sat down and began reading. Thinking that it was none of your business (it wasn't because how rude, you didn't even know the dude!), you jumped back into the conversation with your newly acquainted friends.
