The next day, Kai opened his eyes slowly. He hated every morning he had to get up, while knowing Aichi is waiting for him at Card Capital. He wondered if Miwa made it yesterday to go to his house. He got up and went down the stairs. Miwa wasn’t there. Suddenly, Kai’s phone rang.

"Yes? " he said while picking up the phone

"Good morning, Kai-kun!"

Kai rolled his eyes. He was ready to hang up the phone

"Aichi? "

"Yes, it’s me Kai-kun! You know, it’s kind of late, and I was wondering why you haven’t come to Card Capital yet. Are you ok? Are you sick or something? Do you want me to come and take care of you….? "

"NO! " Kai almost screamed.

What is that idiot thinking? If I don’t show up, he will definitely come here to find me!

"…Kai-kun?"

"I’m ok, Aichi. I won’t come to Card Capital today…"

"Will you go to your bench?"

"No"

"Will you go to the Underground Cardfightings?"

"No"

"Will you…."

"I need to hang up"

Kai hung up the phone with all his strength. He wasn’t much aware of this, but he had started shivering.

Miwa… I need to call Miwa!

He pressed the numbers to call Miwa’s house. The beat was sounded twice, and the happy voice of Kai’s most loyal friend answered.

"Taishi Miwa here!"

"Miwa, it’s me"

"Good morning, Kai! How are you?"

"I’m not sure about this… listen, can I come to your house? "

"Sure, but why?"

"Aichi called me a minute ago and I told him I won’t go to Card Capital today… I have a feeling he will come here sooner or later."

Right after he finished his sentence, he heard someone knocking the door, and the familiar annoying voice of the blue-haired kid.

"KAI-KUN, IT’S ME, AICHI! CAN YOU OPEN THE DOOR?"

What??? He came THAT fast? This kid is extremely insane!!!

"Oh, that’s bad. Then come here right now! "Miwa said

Kai closed the phone. Now he couldn’t get out of the house from the door.

"KAI-KUN, OPEN PLEASE. IT’S ALRIGHT, I’M ALONE " Aichi continued saying.

That’s why I don’t want to open the door!!!

Kai knew that if he got out of house through the first floor windows, Aichi would see him from the window next to the door. So he went to the second floor and opened the balcony door.

I hope I will still be alive after that... well, even death is better than Aichi!

Under his balcony there was a big tree, which was there since Kai first moved here. He hoped of being able to catch one of the tree’s branches, or else he would end up as mice. He climbed at his balcony’s railings, and jumped reluctantly.
