Amara looked over at Matthew who was having a conversation with other cops and detectives as painters looked over the bullet holes in the walls 

Matt walked over to Amara trying to kiss her forehead but she backed away shaking her head "what's wrong?" he asked sitting by Amara 

"I have to get out of here" she looked at him with pleading eyes

"is that what you fucking call it?" she gritted out under her breath shaking a little "he came in here and violated me-"

"he doesn't give a damn about him Matthew!" Olivia looked over at her mother frowning "he's on the run and you don't even care"

"I need to get away from both of y'all" she got up picking Olivia up 

"what is that supposed to mean?" he asked following after her as she went up the stairs

"can you not do this right now?" he asked as she walked into Olivia room Amara put Liv on her bed while Matt closed Olivias bedroom door

"can you just calm down?" Matt asked watching Amara rush to pack Olivia a bag 

"calm down? CALM FUCKING DOWN?!" she got into his face as he stood by the door

"I mean does it really even matter if you get back with her or not?" Maddison pulled her hair into a low bun as she sat on the bed

"Amara" Matthew sat on their bed as she packed and he held Olivia who was still playing with her polly pocket dolls

"baby imagine what they are going to think if they see you walk down the stairs" he pleaded with her she rolled her eyes zipping up her night bag 

"you really think I give a fuck-" she whispered the fuck part looking at Olivia "about what they say or think?" 

"my co-workers are down there baby don't-"

"I'm really not feeling you right now Matt and it's not the fact that you didn't put up a good fight it's because it's like you don't understand the safety of me and my daughter it is as if we are jokes to you"

"I care okay? I care I wanted to do more but-" 

"you should of taken him out when you had him at gun point I have to go" the grabbed her and Olivia bag reaching out to grab her daughter 

Matt gave Olivia one final hug handing her over to Amara he took their bags to carry it downstairs for her 

Amara was carrying Olivia out of the front door as Matthew held their bags his coworkers looked at him with pity Jake stopped Matt holding him by the shoulder 

"it will get better I promise" Matt nodded walking pass him out of the house door Gabe pulled up stumbling out of the car 

"dude I just heard what happen holy fuck are you okay?" Matt looked at Amara strapping Olivia in the car and nodded 

"I'm fine" he adjusted the bags on his shoulder sighing it was as if a wave of sadness ran over him as he watch Amara get in the car starting it up 

"I'll talk to you later Gabe" he walked up to the black chevy truck opening the back car door putting the bags in the backseat Olivia smiled at him he closed the car door 

walking to the other side of the car opening it on Olivia side he kissed her forehead and cheeks making her giggle as Amara ignored the moment they were having 

"coming?" Olivia asked holding Matt by the face he shook his head 

"daddy has some thing to take care of okay?" Olivia nodded 

"be a good boy" she pointed at him he nodded closing the car door making his way around to the drivers seat 

Amara rolled down the window looking at him with teary eyes "don't cry beautiful" he reached in the care and wiped her cheeks making her chuckle 

"I hate you right now" she cried out 

"no you don't" he opened the car door causing her to get out she stood up wrapping her arms around his torso as he rubbed her back 

"I failed and I'm sorry for that" she nodded keeping him in her embrace "but I need you be safe and be on the look out always be alert" 

Amara sniffled "I got you" he kissed her forehead wiping her tears again 

"calm down before you get on the road" she wiped her face backing up getting back in the car putting on her seatbelt "I love you" he closed the car door watching her roll up the window and take a breather before pulling out of the drive way 

Matthew watched his only happiness drive away from him
