2 weeks later

"do you want the good news first or the bad news?" the male doctor asked

Matt looked at Amara and sighed "good new please" she answered for him

"well...you can reproduce Matthew" Matt nodded Amara swallowed

"but" he continued "your sperm count is more on the low side when you two have sex do you keep track on when you ovulate?" he looked at Amara

"no we do not....well I don't" the doctor nodded

"your next ovulation try it then" he looked at Matt "Matthew I'm going to need you to stop smoking-"

"but he doesn't-" Matthew shook his head trying to stop Amara from talking

"he failed the drug test-"

"okay thank you Chris" Matt cut the Doctor off quickly the doctor caught on forming a O with his mouth looking at Amara

"I can't believe you!" they walked outside rushing towards the car

"Amara you're over reacting"

"this whole time I'm sitting here thinking its me but its really you Matt its you! when do you ever find the time to smoke-" he unlocked the car ignoring her question

"weed at that when the fuck-" she kept talking people started to look over at them

"look I don't do that anymore" she pulled the car door open getting in, he did the same

"so the drug test is lying?" she scoffed

"Amara I used to-"

"be a pot head? is that what you mean?"

"no would you just fucking listen? I had my phase in high school and i did slip up a few days ago" he mumbled out the last part she shook her head as she put on her seatbelt

Matt pulled out of the parking lot "I just don't get it how much could you possibly smoke to have your sperm count fucking decrease like that!?"

"I had a lot of fuck ups I'm glad I even got the chance to become what I am today-"

"save that shit please you've recently smoked and the drug test was the truth for that" she shook her head "here I am thinking that I can't get pregnant anymore and that I'm-"

"I'm sorry alright I didn't think it would catch up to me like this" they stopped at a red light he looked over at her she looked back at him with glossy eyes

"don't cry beautiful" he touched her chin she blinked a few times trying to fight the urge of crying

"I'm just so upset and-"

"I understand" the light turned green he slowly eased off the breaks now looking forward she studied his features

"do you really? because I do want to have a child with you but if you can't be honest with me and we've been together for 3 years Matt what else could you possibly be lying to me about?"

"Amara I can assure you I'm not lying to you about anything else" she touched his knee nodding

"okay"

They pulled up to her fathers house Amara quickly got out of the car while Matt decided to stay in she knocked on the front door

she put all her anger behind her once she saw her little girl smiling at her opening the door wider Amara took a squat to Olivia height

"did I tell you to open the door little girl?" Amara father rushed around the corner with his hand over his chest

"it's okay thankfully it was me next time listen to your grandfather do you hear me?" Amara stood up as Oli nodded running to go grab her bag

"how was it?" her dad asked as she closed the door behind her shrugging "that bad?"

"thats his business to tell you dad just know that we are still trying" her father nodded as Oli dragged her back pack walking towards them

"thank you for picking her up dad"

"I'm here for you but I can't pick her up tomorrow" he hugged her "bye my little can of oil"

"can of oil?! its Oli!" Olivia pouted

"how come?" Amara frowned as her father teased Olivia 

"I got a date" he gave his granddaughter a tight hug smiling at his daughter "I love y'all"

"love you too!" they said at the same time walking out Olivia jumped down the stairs

"is daddy in the car?" Amara hesitated then started nodded "can we go to the park?"

"so" Miles laughed "it came out negative thats good"

"yes thats good I mean the bumps came from crabs but thats easy to remove" the doctor said handing Charlie the paper

Charlie was in his own world not caring what was happening around him he wanted to know when he was going to see Amara and how happy she would be to see him he was more so pissed off that she changed her number

"did you hear that Charlie?" Miles broke Charlie out of his thoughts

"No what?"

"Well I said I will give you some anti-lice cream for your pubes-"

"whatever" he shrugged cutting the doctor off Charlie got up from the seat walking out 

"thank you" Miles rushed out of the room trying to catch up to his friend

Olivia laughed sliding down the slide once she got to the bottom she stood up running back around the jungle gym trying to run as fast as she can

The man sat in the car watching Oli run around with Matt as the man smoked a cigarette with the window half way down looking around he noticed Amara 

she was sitting on the bench watching them play around and on her phone

"okay now you're the bad guy!" Olivia took a break from running 

"Liv I've been playing as the bad guy for 3 games now" Matt walked closer to her as they both tried to catch their breaths

Amara locked her phone making sure she didn't have any calls from work looking back up she noticed a man walking closer to her once the man got closer

The man stopped walking and took a seat by her causing her to tense up and she slowly started to put Olivia things away trying her best not to come off as rude

Amara grabbed the last toy grabbing the strap of the bag the man grabbed her hand she jerked back quickly looking at him in fear 

"the hell Is wrong with you?!" the man smirked 

"you shouldn't be scared of me anymore its been 3 years Amara" he let her hand go 

"I do NOT know who you are or where you came from but if I were you I would take off because once my boyfriend-"

"the last time we had a conversation I was on the verge of death in a dark basement" Amara moved further away from him 

"T-Thomas?" the man nodded "but how I thought you were dead-"

"once my son got locked up it took the cops some time to find me I won't lie to you child I can say I was about to give up" Amara looked away from Thomas looking around to find Olivia and Matt 

Once she found out that they were standing near a ice cream truck she sighed trying to relax and focus on her breathing 

"I'm not here to hurt you" she opened her eyes looking back at him 

"then what are you really here for?" Amara flared her nostrils 

"I see you went on with life and had yourself a beautiful family-"

"please just get to the point" 

"Charlies back" Amara hands went numb "hes been out for 2 weeks now its only a matter of time before he finds us both-"

"he's not going to find me-"

"sweetheart look how easy it was for me to find you" she shook her head 

"No" 

"you have a child now think about that child I know my son and I know what he is capable of I mean look at me he locked me in a basement forced me to eat human flesh-"

"okay! please just stop it took me a minute to actually become somewhat mentally stable and here you are just in my ear about him!" she stood up grabbing Olivias bag 

"Even if that is his child Amara you need to get away as fast as possible he can not know she exist he's not mentally stable to be a father-"

"you don't think I know that Thomas!-" she stopped mid way into her sentence "h-how did you know?"

Thomas smirked "I remember when Raven was that young gosh her little baby doll eyes" he choked out "if we lived in a different universe i'm 100% sure she would love that child they are so much alike and this is why I say-"

"run" they said at the same time causing Thomas to nod

"he killed his sister the only person that was keeping him sane-"

"why?" Thomas hesitated about to open his mouth about to speak 

"mommy!" Olivia skipped towards Amara causing Thomas to quickly get up 

Amara turned away from Thomas facing the direction Olivia was coming In "hey honey" she picked her up 

"so daddy said I can't have any more sugar today" she pouted with a ice cream mustache on her top and bottom lip Amara smiled even though her mind was still running around on what Thomas said 

Amara looked around for Thomas as Olivia was rambling about sweets in her arms her heart was beating like crazy

"you alright?" Matt broke Amara out of her thoughts she nodded and gave him a fake smile

I seriously miss going out like to the mall or beach ughhh so the nail salon and hair salon is open but im debating on if I should wait to actually get box braids or to just get my hair done
