Chapter One: Happy Birthday, Sherlock!

A/N: I'm just going to make up what the 'VIP' tickets allow.  dunno if they even have VIP tickets for YouTube Conventions... Anyway, enjoy.

Sherlock Holmes, a boy who prided himself in being different from all the other idiots his age, had stooped to the same level as some of the typical 'blonde bimbos' at school but he really couldn't care less right now. Mycroft clearly disapproves of the squeals currently leaving Sherlock's lips seeing as he pulled a face, as if wondering where this side of Sherlock came from.

Molly smirks from her position on the chair beside Sherlock. If he was squealing about the cake, just wait until he opened his present from her.

Sherlock picks up the cake knife with a grin but then pauses. "I don't want to cut it.. He's so pretty. It's from one of my favourite sketches too! Honey, youshouldseemeinacrown. It's too perfect!"

In the end, Sherlock does cut the cake and then makes a joke about how he was finally going to eat Jim Moriarty - his mother scalded him with a fond smile for hat one. It was no secret to any of them that Sherlock was helpless in love with a boy he'd never met or converse with and had only seen through a screen.

When the time comes for presents Molly sucks in a breath and heads into the hallway to open the coat cupboard and retrieve the pre-wrapped present for her best friend. She'd went online and searched for hours to find out which YouTubers would be appearing where and when, then somehow she'd managed to convince her mum to buy three tickets to the next YouTube Convention for her, John and, obviously, Sherlock.

Sherlock raises an eyebrow at his friend when she walks back in with the small box. Molly smirks, knowing full well that the box looked like it contained a watch or jewellery of some kind. She'd done that bit on purpose.

John, who was sitting beside Sherlock, places his hands over his ears - making Sherlock's parents laugh and Sherlock send them all a bemused look. Obviously piecing it together, Sherlock looks to the box and then at Molly.

Grinning, Molly hands the box over and leans forward to place a kiss on the boy's cheek. "Happy Birthday, Sherlock!"

"Thank you, Molly" Sherlock replies, sounding as confused as he looked.

He looks down to the box then, his heart thumping. John had put his hands over his ears, suggesting they all thought his reaction to this gift would be loud. The only thing Sherlock got loud about was a certain gorgeous Irish YouTuber.

Fingers that are trembling in excitement pluck at the fold of paper, slowly peeling the blue and green patterned paper back to reveal.. paper slips?

Sherlock tears it off in one go, curious now. He'd assumed it was some kind of locket with Jim in or maybe a bracelet with his name on. But it wasn't. It's...

"Holy shit!" Sherlock gasps, gaping at the red and white tickets in front of him.

Sherlock's pretty sure that his heart just stopped.

Tickets to the next YouTube Convention in London. Tickets with ticket letters printed on... VIP. He's got no clue what that allows him to do, but still.

He has tickets in his hands that will allow him to go meet the boy that he just knows he's destined to marry and grow old with.

Breath, Sherlock. You need to breathe. If you don't, you'll die before you meet James.

"Holy shit" Sherlock whispers again, vaguely resisting that he's not being scalded door swearing by his mother.

He's going to meet James (well, he prefers Jim) Moriarty.

YOU'RE GOING TO MEET JIM! screams Sherlock's inner fanboy.

Jim; his ideal man, his true love, his favourite person, his everything.

"Holy shit" says Sherlock, again.

His eyes are wide, staring at the tickets as he tries to fully process what this means.

Molly chuckles and John rolls his eyes before laughing too. Mother smiles fondly, father squeezing her arm and grinning. Mycroft snorts, unimpressed by this obsession as the fondest Sherlock felt for this 'random' was somehow weakening him. Sherlock didn't care what his brother thought anyway.

Standing, Sherlock launches himself at Molly and crushes her thin frame into the most affectionate hug he'd ever given anyone ever in the history of everything that exists.

"You're amazing. You're amazing. You're amazing!" Sherlock says it in a rush, kissing Molly's cheek like she'd done before as he pulls out of the hug.

He counts the tickets and grins at his two closest friends.

"I'm going to meet Jim..."

He checks the date on the tickets then. 07/02. Five days from now.

Sherlock mutters the only two words he can thinks of "Holy shit"

"Ugh. Can't you just fuck off?!" Jim snaps down the phone, slumping down on the super silky bed.

He hangs up and tosses his phone across the hotel room, grunting when it only bounces off the wall and lays on the floor unharmed. Tucking his legs up, Jim wraps his arms around his legs and rests his head on his one, closing his eyes tight and desperately trying to get his good mood back.

Stupid phone calls...

He'd been getting them for the past months now. He knew who it was, it was always the same number. Why his ex-boyfriend wouldn't stop calling him and would breath down the line creepily, Jim will never know. It was really starting to affect him. Everywhere he went, he felt like he was being watched or followed.

Breathing out deeply through his nose, Jim turns onto his side and shuffles up so he can pull the covers from under himself. He pulls it up to his chin and tries to relax, wanting to sleep.

Blinking his eyes open, Jim looks at the digital alarm clock that sat on the fancy bedside table.

22:39

Jim groans, pushing his face into the pillow. He had to be up at eight o'clock to get ready for the first day of the YouTube Convention.

Nodding to himself, Jim climbs out of his bed and retrieve his camera.

Time for one of his late night videos to the fans. All two million of them.

*

"Jim put up a new video!" Sherlock practically screams, running into the living room clutching his laptop and forcing himself into the small gap between John and Molly.

They were staying the night, considering that tomorrow all three of them were off to London for three days. They'd be staying in a hotel around half an hour from the venue the convention was being held in. The YouTube Convention last for nearly a whole week and they'd be going for the first three days.

John winces as Sherlock practically sits on top of him, boney arse digging into his thigh. Molly moves up and manages to avoid Sherlock when he bounced between them. All three shuffle around a little, getting comfortable on the sofa before they all face the laptop.

On screen was Jim Moriarty, frozen in place and smiling at the camera.

The video had already been put on full screen and after checking both his friends were watching,

Sherlock presses the space bar on his laptop to start the video.

"Hi, guys" says the tired voice of Jim. "So, can't sleep! And got this idea... was going to do this later in the week but..." Jim moves closer to the camera. "Since love you all so much, thought I'd treat you all. Especially those of you who can't come see me" He pouts at the camera. "Anyway! Time for Moriarty's Fabulous Hotel Tour.. At Night!"

As he says the words, the appear on the screen in different fonts. Over dramatic music plays in the background.

Sherlock giggles. His friends just smile, happy he was happy.

On screen, the camera moves as Jim obviously picks it up. He holds it so they can still see him as he walks out the door, eyes widens.

"I'm kinda creeping myself out now, guys... Oh my gosh... It's really dark... hope no spiders decide look like tasty snack" He turns his head towards the camera, eyes as wide as can be as he fakes being absolutely petrified.

Sherlock laughs, remembering Jim's video titled 'Why Spiders Are The Scariest Thing In Existence'. Jim hated spiders and Sherlock found that adorable. He can imagine Jim screaming and climbing on the table, pointing at a tiny spider and just squealing because he's too scared to talk. Then Sherlock would pick the spider up and toss it out the window for Jim and Jim would reward him with a big kiss and call him a hero.

Sherlock discards the fantasy and focuses on the screen again.

Jim walks into a near empty lobby, looking around. He turns the camera and pans it around the room, showing everything. Sherlock had to admit, it did look creepy. The camera continues to pan and shows a desk, were a Gothic looking girl is standing and staring straight at the camera.

A girly squeal is heard and the camera tumbles to the floor, the white-faced girl disappearing. A few curses are heard as Jim picks the camera up, breathless. He shows himself again, he looks scared but then he starts laughing.

"You okay?" Asks a distant voice, presumably the girls.

"Uh, yep!" Jim nods before he turns and legs it up the stairs again. "Geez,  she was scarier than spider!"

Sherlock laughs again. The screen then cuts to Jim sitting on his hotel bed, looking at the camera.

"Had to cut it short guys!  bumped into the manger and he wasn't too happy to find one of his guests running around the halls... But, being me," Jim pretends to flip non-existence long hair "totally charmed my way out of it and got his number while I was at it" He winks at the camera. "I'll have more of tour later, promise. I'll even show you how big my bed is" He winks again before the video cuts out.

Sherlock sighs hopelessly and closes the laptop.

"Tomorrow, I'll be meeting him in person" Sherlock murmurs, yawning a little and resting his head on John's shoulder.

"Holy shit" John mocks before they all laugh.
