( 𝟎𝟑𝟖 ) hold up in the station

A LOT OF things had happened over the course of the year, but Lexi never believed that she would have a gun held up to her head, especially held by Matt himself, someone she had been attending school with since she was very little, the whole thing seemed like some crazy dream, even weirder than the supernatural drama that was going on around her, this topped the cake. Everything that had happened to her so far had been strange enough, but seeing Matt holding a gun up to her face, wasn't something she believed she would get past, because he seemed erratic with his murders, and since he had been pushed into the pool, he looked the most angry that Lexi had ever seen him, and she honestly felt a fear that she had never felt before whilst looking at him, a fear that made her chest hurt. "Matt.." Lexi began to speak up, not sure how this situation was going to go and what was going to happen to her — she couldn't understand why he was doing all of this, and the fact that she didn't know his motive, scared her to no end, and the only person that she wanted by her side right now, was Stiles.
"Don't talk, just move." Matt snapped, motioning his gun to the direction that the boys and Noah were currently waiting for her to come back and figure out their next plan of action, Lexi couldn't understand how Matt knew how to find them all here, and how he even got a gun; it was obvious that Jackson was here, also, so why does he need a gun? None of it made any sense to her, but she also didn't waste any time in doing what Matt ordered her to do, not wanting to get shot. The girl began to walk back to Noah's office, shakily putting one foot in front of the other and concentrating on not tripping over and face palming into the ground, because she was sure that it would annoy the boy with the gun in his hands — stopping by the office door and seeing Stiles' face first, the boy happy to see her again, but his facial expression quickly turning into complete horror when he saw just who was behind her, the boy they knew was the one murdering all of these people in such horrible ways.
Noah instant raised his hands in surrender at the sight of Matt holding a gun up to his sons girlfriends head, knowing that this was the boy the kids were talking about, and already knowing that he was dangerous, not wanting the poor Martin girl to be subject to his vengeance. "Matt, it's Matt, right?" He asked calmly, not wanting to upset the boy and get Lexi hurt in the process, who was still the centre of the boys gun, standing completely still with her eyes locked onto Stiles to help calm herself down. "Matt, whatever's going on, I guarantee you there's a solution that doesn't involve a gun." Noah said, glancing between the gun in Matt's hand and Lexi, who was the target of the weapon.
Matt chuckled lightly from behind Lexi, causing the girl to cringe slightly and close her eyes to take a deep and calming breath, telling herself over and over again that everything was okay, and that Noah would be able to get them out of this situation. "You know, it's funny you say that, because I don't think you're aware of just how right you are." Matt explained, moving his gun around again and making Lexi feel even more anxious with him behind her; the look on Noah's face didn't make her feel any better, either, since he was clearly nervous at what was happening right now with her.
"I know you don't wanna hurt people." Noah continued, trying to use his police skills to get the boy to drop the gun and leave Lexi and the other kids be.
"Actually, I wanna hurt a lot of people. You four weren't on my list, but I could be persuaded. And one way is to try failing somebody on your cell phone, like McCall is doing." Matt explained, as Lexi gave the boy a 'what the hell?' look, not knowing why he was trying to anger Matt even more than he was now. "That could definitely get someone hurt." He carried on, holding the gun up higher so that the boys and Noah could see that he could shoot Lexi very easily. Scott immediately stopped typing on his cell phone when Matt did this, scared for Lexi's life, "Everyone." He said, motioning for them to move out from behind the desk, only, no one moved, so he shouted very close to Lexi's ear, making the girl cringe and jump from the sudden loudness, "Move!" Matt yelled, as they all placed their phone onto the desks, weary of the boys next move.
And just a few minutes later, Matt was getting Stiles to handcuff his own dad in the holding room, making sure that the man couldn't get out of them and stop whatever plan he had to help stop him; Lexi still had the gun held to her head, to make sure that Stiles didn't make any rash movements or plan anything stupid. "Tighter." Matt told Stiles, when he barely tightened the handcuffs on the older man's wrist, making sure that he would be able to escape. He waved the gun slightly when Stiles hesitated, causing Noah to tell his son to tighten the handcuffs so Lexi wouldn't get hurt.
Lexi watched as Stiles tightened the cuffs on his fathers wrists, before Matt pushed him onwards and out of the room, Lexi following closely behind Stiles as she felt the gun press into her back lightly, a tear falling down the girls cheek as she felt the fear kick up again and overwhelm her. Walking through the hallway, Lexi came to a stop behind Stiles when she, and the other two boys looked through the hallway at three dead cops lying there, having been killed by the Kanima in a brutal way; Lexi quickly looked away, not wanting to see any dead bodies, feeling disgusted when Matt made a small comment and laughed about the fact that he had killed so many people without feeling any remorse for it.
The group then ended up back in Noah's office, where Matt had ordered the three of them to erase any details that Matt might be on that would make him look guilty in any way, gone, and any evidence against him wouldn't be a thing anymore. "Deleted. And we're done. And, so, Matt, since all the people you brutally murdered deserved it because they killed you first, whatever that means.. We're good here, right? I'll just get my dad, and we'll go.. You know, you continue on the whole vengeance thing. Enjoy the Kanima." Stiles said, praying to god that he would agree and let them all go, he hated how Matt was constantly aiming his gun at Lexi to try and get a reaction from him and Scott, he hated it. That is, when a vehicle light shone through the blinds of the window, indicating that Scott's mom must be arriving to identify Matt from the security footage.
"Sounds like your mom's here, McCall." Matt announced, knowing that he would have another upper hand if his mom was here.
"Matt, don't do this." Scott all but threatened, not wanting his mom to be harmed in any way; Lexi felt her chest begin to tighten and her legs tingle, but she couldn't understand why, everything was too overwhelming and she didn't know how to handle it. "When she comes to the door, I'll just tell her to leave. I'll tell her we didn't find anything, please, Matt." He then pleaded, knowing that threatening Matt just wouldn't work.
The door to the police station opened, and Lexi now felt her head swim, knowing that something was very wrong, "If you don't move.. now, I'm gonna kill Lexi first, then Stiles, and then your mom." Matt told Scott, as Lexi gulped at his words, knowing that he wasn't bluffing; so they set off again, this time, towards the front door where Lexi felt her legs go weak once again, gaining Stiles' attention, who instantly wrapped his arm around her waist and held her upright, silently asking the girl if she was okay, only for her to shake her head, as she truly didn't know what was happening to her and why her legs felt like this, it was almost like the feeling from the swimming pool incident, and the garage incident..
Opening the door, the three teenagers sighed in relief when Derek was on the other side, but Lexi knew better, she knew that something was wrong, especially since her legs had started to go numb, the girl holding onto Stiles even tighter than before, the boy again, glancing down at her nervously. Until Derek finally fell to the floor, Stiles eventually having to hold Lexi up when the paralysis hit her, too, Matt smiling at the sight, glad that he was finally getting his own back on these guys for interfering with his plans.
Lexi grunted as Stiles tried holding her up, "Just let me drop, Stiles, it's fine." The girl whispered, knowing that he couldn't hold her up forever. He didn't want to just let her drop to the floor, he wanted to hold her up with him, protect her in case Matt went for her again, but the look that Matt gave him, told the boy all he needed to know, and he gently lowered Lexi to the ground, leaning her up against the wall behind her so she could see everything that was going on, Stiles standing in front of her, even though he knew he couldn't protect her like Scott could, or Derek for that matter, he would still put his life on the line for her.
Derek snarled from his place on the floor when Matt crouched down to get a closer look at him, "This is the one controlling him? This kid?" The older man asked in disbelief, not understanding how this kid could have done all of this successfully, without being caught for so long. None of it made sense.
"Well, Derek, not everyone's lucky enough to be a big, bad werewolf." Matt replied, shaking his head back at the man in annoyance, "Oh yeah, that's right. I've learned a few things lately, werewolves, hunters, Kanimas, Empaths. It's like a freaking Halloween party every full moon. Except for you Stiles, what do you turn into?" He asked, sending an insult Stiles' way as he was practically the only human of his group. Lexi could tell that Stiles was going to come back with some smart remark that was going to annoy almost everyone here; she loved the boys jokes and sarcastic remarks, but with Matt holding a gun, and Jackson at his beck and call, it wasn't the best time to be annoying him.
"Abominable snowman." Stiles replied quickly, Lexi sighing at his words as she knew that Matt wasn't going to take it lightly. "But, uh, it's more of, like, a wintertime thing, you know, seasonal." He carried on, when Matt rolled his eyes, giving Jackson a look which he then acted on, flicking out his nails and slicing the back of Stiles' neck, the boy then falling down and landing right on top of Derek, Lexi unable to hold back the small smirk on her face since she knew that Derek would hate it. She knew that it wasn't the right situation to be smirking in, but she just couldn't help it with the look of disgust on Derek's face at the boy on top of him like dead weight.
"Get him off of me." Derek grunted, wanting nothing but to have this boy away from him.
"Oh, I don't know, Derek. I think you two make a pretty good pair." Matt joked, before looking back at Lexi, "No offence, Lexi." He added, as the girl merely glared at him, not liking how he was making jokes in this situation when he was a literal murderer. From his words and the way he was looking at Derek, Lexi couldn't help but think that Matt hated the werewolves guts, granted, Derek could be a little mean at times, but she couldn't say that she hated him, after all, he was trying to save Beacon Hills just as much as they all were. "It must kinda suck, though, to have all that power taken away from you with just a little cut to the back of the neck. I bet you're not used to feeling this helpless." He told Derek, as the werewolf didn't look phased whatsoever at the kids words, Lexi watching anxiously as she wondered what Matt was going to do next.
"Still got some teeth. Why don't you get down here a little closer, huh? We'll see how helpless I am." Derek recounted, not phased by Matt's insults.
"Yeah, bitch." Stiles spoke up, muffled due to his face being squished up against Derek's chest, paralysed and unable to move his head up to talk — Lexi found it amusing, but she knew that Matt wouldn't, and the second that she heard his remark, she knew that Matt was going to use the power he had to shut him up. However, another vehicle came approaching towards the station, meaning that Scott's mom was finally arriving to identify Matt in the hospital around the time of the murder, and Lexi's heart sped up even more than it already was, which made her chest hurt.
"Is that her?" Matt asked, as Scott looked down to the ground with a sigh, hating that his mom was about to walk into this, not knowing what he could do to make sure he was safe; Lexi felt the same, knowing that Melissa knew nothing of what was going on, it wasn't fair of her to walk into this unsuspecting. "Do what I tell you to and I won't hurt her. I won't even let Jackson near her." He said, as Lexi knew he wasn't telling the truth; what's to stop this boy from hurting Melissa just because he felt like it? Nothing was.
"Scott, don't trust him." Stiles spoke up with his muffled voice, taking the words right out of Lexi's mouth, as the girl gave Scott a look that said the exact same thing, a look that Matt didn't miss. The boy flipped Stiles round onto his back, not gently, before pressing his foot onto the boys chest, pausing Stiles' breathing instantly, the boy gasping and trying to get some air in. At the same time time, Jackson flipped out his nails and crouched down to Lexi, holding the claws up to her neck, as the girls eyes widened, Scott looking between the girl and boy and not knowing what he should do, afraid that he would just make things worse than they already were.
"Okay, just stop, stop!" Scott shouted, eyes wide as Stiles began to go red from the lack of air, and Lexi having a tear drop down her face at the feeling of claws gently digging into her throat, one movement from the Kanima causing her throat to rip open, something that she was sure would happen if she breathed any heavier than she was right now.
"Then do what I tell you to." Matt told him, causing Scott to instantly surrender, not wanting Lexi or Stiles to get hurt. Eventually, Matt lifted his foot from Stiles throat, but Jackson never moved his claws from Lexi's throat, and in this moment, the girl wanted nothing but to be able to move, and get away from her old friend that was currently half a lizard. "You. Take her in first, then the others." Matt started to instruct Jackson, as he instantly complied, flicking his nails away from the girls throat and grabbing her arm, as well as Stiles, before dragging the two into the next room, Lexi scared about what might happen next with Melissa.
The girl was dropped basically on top of Stiles, before Derek was brought in next, right next to Lexi, making the girl sandwiched in between the two of them, lucky that she couldn't feel anything to be uncomfortable. "Are you okay?" Stiles asked her softly, as the girls eyes flickered up to his to see him already looking down at her in worry; he wanted nothing but to pull her in for a hug, to shield her with his own body, but he couldn't feel his own body, and he hated it. He hated how powerless he felt when it came to the girl he loved, "Did he hurt you?" He carried on asking, his eyes flickering down to her neck to see a few red marks where Jackson had held his claws against her skin — he never wanted to kill Jackson more than in this moment right now for hurting Lexi, the girl that didn't deserve any of this.
Lexi didn't even have time to answer Stiles' question; she could feel the soreness on her neck, but it was numbed due to the paralysis, she knew that it would hurt when she could finally feel again, though. Before she even opened her mouth to reply, she felt tingling on her stomach, which confused her since she was paralysed from the neck down, and the second that it happened, everything started happening as if it was fast forwarded, she heard a gun shot, followed by Melissa shouting in fear, and Noah shouting all of their names to make sure that they were all okay — Scott had been shot. "He shot Scott." The girl spoke up quietly, her eyes flickering over to Jackson in the corner of the room nervously, since he was ordered to look over them, she didn't know what she could say.
Derek glanced over at Lexi before the door of the office, never truly seeing Lexi's ability working in person; he had heard about it from Deaton and Scott, but he had never seen it before. He had heard of Empaths, how they worked, what they did, and he knew that it was good to have the girl around, since she could tell whom had been hurt without seeing it for herself.
But, he didn't know how good her ability would help them all tonight..
