LEXI DIDN'T WANT IT to be true. It couldn't be, her sister didn't have a violent home in her body, although the girl may be a complete bitch at times, she would never physically hurt anyone, and that fact alone made Lexi believe that her sister wasn't the Kanima — but the test had confirmed it, and now Scott was figuring out a plan to get the girl back to his, and it was just making Lexi realise that this was all real, and that they were actually going to have to fight Derek's pack to test them away from Lydia and to prevent them from killing her. As they all stood in the empty classroom, Scott was the first to speak up, "Derek's outside, waiting for Lydia." He told the group, as Lexi sighed loudly at his words, the stress building up at what was about to go down. The girl was glad that Scott was on her side, and she knew that if Lydia had any idea on what was going on, she would be grateful, too; so, when Allison claimed that Derek wanted to kill Lydia, out loud, Lexi sucked in a sharp breath and felt Stiles wrap his hand around hers, the girl instantly feeling her heart rate slow down because of his touch. "If he thinks that she's the Kanima, then yes, to kill her. Especially after what happened at the pool." Scott informed them all.
"It's not her." Lexi spoke up, shaking her head, "That thing was so close to me, I would know if my own sister was trying to kill us all." She said, trying to piece together this whole thing. She was one hundred percent sure that her sister wasn't the Kanima, but that didn't mean that Derek would believe them, so what they needed to do was find out who the actual Kanima was, so the alpha would leave Lydia alone. "I know what you're all thinking, I see it in your faces.. She may be mean, but she wouldn't hurt anyone, more or less kill someone, okay?" She carried on; knowing the opinion a lot of people had on the girl, but Lexi knew her better than all of them combined, and she knew that Lydia wasn't the Kanima.
"Lexi, she didn't pass the test, nothing happened." Scott told the girl softly, knowing that it was hard for her to come to terms with the truth. He was going to to everything in his power to protect Lydia, but it didn't change the fact that she didn't pass the test, and it wasn't exactly impossible to believe that the girl could be the Kanima..
"Guys, it doesn't matter, because Derek thinks it's her." Allison said, knowing that it didn't matter what they all thought or what the truth was, because nothing could change Derek's mind, now. "So, either we can convince him that he's wrong, or we've got to figure out a way to protect her." She explained, as Lexi huffed in annoyance.
"If I was allowed to tell her about all of this, then it would be so much more easier to keep her safe. But she doesn't know anything, this isn't going to be easy." Lexi explained, knowing that Lydia can be very difficult at times, and since she is recently broken up with Jackson, the girl wasn't going to take kindly to all of them crowding around her.
"Okay, but I don't think he's gonna do anything here, not at the school." Scott said, pushing past Lexi's hostility as the girl was just upset and stressed about the whole situation, and he didn't blame her one bit.
"What about after school?" Allison asked, also nervous for one of her best friends. When Scott didn't answer her, instead, looking away, Lexi ran her hand down her face, dropping Stiles' hand as she began to pace up and down the room, "What if we can prove that Derek's wrong?" Allison continued, "There could be something in the bestiary.." She continued, as Stiles interrupted her.
"Oh, you mean the nine hundred page book written in Archaic Latin that none of us can read? Good luck with that." Stiles asked, knowing that, that was just a stupid suggestion, they didn't have enough time to do that by the time school finished, not if they needed to prove that Lydia wasn't a killer lizard..
"Actually, I think I know someone who might be able to translate it." Allison said, her brain working through ways to save Lydia.
"I could talk to Derek. Maybe convince him to give us a chance to prove that it's not her." Scott said, knowing that he was going to have to try begging the man to leave the red head alone — "But if anything happens, you guys let me handle it, okay?" He asked them all, knowing that they would all try to but in and help when they weren't able to.
Lexi nodded when Scott mainly looked towards her, but the girl still didn't feel comfortable with just letting Lydia out of her sight, "Scott.." She finally spoke up, Scott looking towards her, "If she is.. You know.. You won't kill her, right?" She asked, unsure if she even wanted to know the answer, because she just couldn't handle the fact that her sister may be killed by either Scott or Derek to stop her from killing all of those people..
Scott shook his head instantly at her words, knowing that the last thing he was going to do, was kill her.. "If she is the Kanima. I'll do everything in my power to keep her safe and help her, I promise you." He told Lexi, the girl fully believing him as she eventually nodded her head at his words. She believed Scott when he told her he would protect her, and she knew that he wouldn't lie about that, either; although she was worrying about Derek getting to her sister, Scott made her stress go down just a little bit..
Lexi smiled slightly, "Okay, then. I have a plan to get Lydia to follow us after school, where do you want me to tell her we're going?" She asked Scott, fully trusting his plan and putting it into action.
Scott nodded thankfully that she was agreeing with his plan to keep her safe, "My house. We'll do this at my house."

"But you don't need to study." Lydia told Lexi, after her sister told her that she needed to study with everyone else after school and that she wanted her to come. Lexi's grades were doing better than just okay, and Lydia couldn't understand why she felt the need to study even further when she had basically completed every single piece of work for the rest of the year.
Lexi sighed quietly at her sisters words, knowing that this was going to be difficult, but she kept it up, none the less, "I don't, but Stiles really needs my help to study, his grades are falling. And you know Scott, he's.. Well, he's Scott.." She trailed off, not knowing what to say exactly about Scott and his grades; everyone knew they weren't the best, and he didn't exactly try to get them up, at least but with everything going on around them at the moment.
Lydia rolled her eyes, "Stiles needing his grades to go up isn't my problem." She told her sister, shutting her locker now that she had all of her books out of it.
Lexi sighed, knowing the two words that would get her sister to come with her in an instant. "Jackson's coming." She said, knowing that Scott had basically threatened the boy into helping protect Lydia, since.. Well, they just didn't like him, and none of them knew why Lydia was so obsessed with him.
Lydia turned to face her sister with a shocked look on her face, "Okay, why didn't you say so? Let's help Stiles study." She said, now holding a bright smile on her face as she linked her arm through Lexi's, already dragging the girl down the hall. "Are we all meeting at the library?" She asked, heading that way as Lexi quickly pulled her sister to a stop, knowing that they couldn't stay at the school.
"No, actually. We're all going to Scott's." Lexi said, cringing as Lydia stopped and looked at her with a weird look.
"But aren't he and Allison broken up? That would be weird." Lydia told Lexi, furrowing her brows in confusion. The girl didn't even like Scott that much, so, going to his house didn't seem like the best thing to do; but because Jackson was going, she really didn't have any other option.
Lexi shrugged, "I don't know, maybe. The two of them are complicated, you know that." She said, brushing past her sisters questions, just as Jackson approached the two with Allison and Stiles on his heels, Lydia instantly changing her facial expression to look unbothered in front of her ex-boyfriend.
"Come on." Jackson mumbled, instantly taking ahold of Lydia's arm and pulling her towards the exit of the school, knowing that he just wanted to get this over and done with. Lexi frowned at the boys actions towards her sister, not liking the way he was manhandling her; since he broke up with Lydia, Lexi hated him, but she had to get along with him today for the sake of Lydia and keeping her alive and away from Derek and his pack.
"If we're doing a study group, why didn't we just stay in the library?" Lydia asked the four of them, still not understanding why they would study elsewhere when all of the books and computers were in the library..
"Because we're meeting Scott." Stiles told Lydia, exchanging a look with Lexi as he thought the girl had told Lydia the plan. Lexi merely shrugged as he looked towards her; he knew just as well as she did that Lydia was difficult..
"Hmm. Well, why doesn't he meet us in the library?" Lydia asked Stiles, giving him a weird look, still not understanding why her sister liked this boy.
"Oh, that would've been a great idea. Too late." Stiles laughed, shaking his head in amusement as Lydia didn't see any humour in the situation..
"Wait, hang on.." Lydia spoke up again, everyone around her sighing at her multiple questions, until Jackson finally shut her up, and they all headed to Scott's house..
——
After an awkward ride with all of the teenagers squeezing into Stiles' car, they were finally at Scott's house, and Lexi felt the nerves kick up every second that passed because of the fact that Derek could come by at any moment now and attempt to kill Lydia, and Scott still wasn't here.. "If we're meeting at Scott'a house, why isn't he here?" Lydia asked, as Lexi and Stiles ushered her up the stairs and towards the house, trying to get her in there as soon as possible so they weren't out in the open..
"He's meeting us here. What's with all of the questions?" Lexi asked, rolling her eyes at the fact her sister was just questions every single thing they were doing.
"This is weird." Lydia answered, rolling her eyes right back at her twin for not understanding that this whole situation was strange and she just wanted to go home; she didn't even need to study, and neither did Lexi.
Finally stepping foot into the house, Stiles locked the door after them all, pulling the lock too, as Lydia watched with an eyebrow raised, wondering even more at what the hell was going on. Even Jackson was giving the boy a look, everyone exchanging glances at what the hell was going on. "Uh.. There's been a few break-ins around the neighbourhood." He said, as Lydia looked towards Lexi with a questioning stare, the girl looking away as she truly didn't know what to say. When Stiles then grabbed a chair and pushed it underneath the door handle to stop it from opening, Lexi closed her eyes and sighed, knowing that he was just making things worse — what made him think that Derek wouldn't be able to push through that door? "And a murder. Yeah, it was bad." He added, when Lydia was still looking at him with a confused look plastered on her face.
Lydia sighed, "I don't know what you see in him." She whispered to Lexi, even though everyone could hear her.
Lexi groaned in annoyance, looking towards Jackson with a pleading look, to which the boy then rolled his eyes at, "Lydia, follow me. I need to talk to you for a minute." He said, knowing that the girl did everything he wanted her to, so getting her to follow him wouldn't be hard.
"Seriously? What is going on with everyone?" Lydia a sighed, reluctantly following after Jackson, leaving Lexi alone with Allison and Stiles.
Lexi turned to Stiles, "Could you act anymore suspicious?" The girl asked him in annoyance, not knowing why the boy had to act so strange when they were trying to keep it a secret on what was going on with Lydia.
Stiles gave her an exasperated look, "How can I act normal with everything going on?" He asked, not knowing that he was being that weird, but by the looks on Lexi's face, he knew that he wasn't exactly acting like his usual self..
"Okay, let's just calm down.." Allison interrupted them, knowing that they had to stay calm and wait for Scott to come, "I haven't heard anything from Scott, he must still be at the school." She said, looking through her phone to see that she had no missed calls of texts from the boy in question.
"Well, he better get here quick. We can't keep off Derek and his pack." Lexi said, as the three of them geared towards the kitchen, shutting every curtain in the house as they did so, so when Derek did come, he couldn't see in the house and see where they were. When they stopped in the kitchen, Lexi pulled Stiles to the side, knowing that she had to apologise for being snappy with him, since it was merely because she was nervous and scared for her sisters safety, "I'm sorry for snapping at you, I just.." She began to whisper, only for Stiles to interrupt her by pulling her in for a hug.
"You don't have to apologise, you're worried for your sister, I get it." Stiles told her, knowing that he didn't blame her one bit for being nervous about this whole situation, he was nervous for her. "It'll be okay, Scott will come home, and he'll fight Derek off; Lydia's going to be okay." He said, the girl leaning her head into his shoulder as he stroked her hair, trying to console her.
And it was working, just his touch alone helped the girl calm down, even when she felt a stabbing pain in her head and neck build up; which just reminded her that she needed to visit Deaton..
"Guys.." Allison spoke up, peeking out of the front window of the house.
Lexi and Stiles both pulled away and headed towards the door, taking a look out of the window themselves, when they saw Derek, and the rest of the pack..
Still waiting on Scott, Lexi, Stiles and Allison paced around the front of the house as they tried to think of what to do since he wasn't here to help; none of them knew what to do since they didn't have the same abilities that Scott did, and they couldn't protect Lydia against them. "What are we gonna do?" Lexi asked them all, hating the fact that the pack were just laughing amongst each other whilst waiting to kill Lydia; she didn't know how they could be so casual, and she hated it..
Allison pulled out her phone, beginning to dial a number, "What are you doing?" Stiles asked, as Lexi looked over.
There were tears in Allison's eyes as she looked at the two of them, "I think I have to call my dad." She admitted, knowing that they had no chance against Derek and the others, especially not without Scott helping them..
"But if he finds you here, you and Scott.." Stiles trailed off, everyone knowing what this meant if she did this. But Lexi couldn't help but wonder if Allison's dad would do exactly what Derek was planning to do; since they all hated werewolves or anything supernatural related..
"I know." Allison choked up, knowing exactly what would happen if she did this, "But what are we supposed to do? They're not here to scare us, okay? They're here to kill Lydia." She said, the words making Lexi's heart stop yet again.
"Hang on. We told Scott we could protect ourselves, so let's do it." Stiles said, the two girls looking over at him, "Or at least give it a shot, right? They don't think we're gonna fight, so if one of them gets hit, I guarantee they'll take off. So just shoot one of them." He carried on, knowing that Allison had a great shot.
Lexi moved back and looked around for something she could defend herself with, but the girl honestly didn't know how to even fight, she had never had lessons, and after this, she was seriously considering getting Allison to teach her a thing or two. The girl was in the kitchen as she heard commotion from the hallway, and she didn't think twice before rushing in and grabbing the glass vase on the side, seeing Isaac standing above Stiles and instantly hitting the werewolf around the head with it with as much strength as she could muster, the werewolf being shoved aside as she did so. But, as the pain in the back of her head continued, she couldn't do anything as Isaac shoved her back, the girl flying into the wall behind her and landing on the floor with a grunt of pain, "Hey!" She heard Stiles yell out angrily as the girls eyes shuttered closed for a few seconds before opening again and seeing Isaac pulling Stiles along the floor..
But, just like that, Scott came to the rescue, allowing Stiles to help Lexi up and keep her upright due to the banging in her skull, as Allison pulled Erica down the stairs and Scott knocked Isaac out, the couple throwing the two bodies out of the door and in front of Derek as they all stood side by side, happy they had won the first half of this showdown. But as Derek and Scott were talking, they heard a hissing above them, seeing the Kanima on the roof, Lexi immediately turning around to go and find Lydia, only for the girl in question to come barging out of the door with a frantic look on her face, "Would someone please tell me what the hell is going on?" Lydia shouted, annoyed with the nights events.
But Lexi didn't think twice before running up to her sister and pulling her in for a bone crushing hug..
Lydia wasn't the Kanima. Jackson was.
