'abomination'

WITH COPS AND PARAMEDICS swarming around the area, Lexi didn't think that she would be getting out of here anytime soon — as the girl sat in the back of the ambulance, after having her blood pressure taken, she held Stiles' hand in hers, noticing that he was still feeling funny from being paralysed along with her. But what didn't make sense to the girl, was why she had been paralysed, when she didn't touch that slimy stuff, or the lizard thing touching the back of her neck like it did with the guy that had sadly died under Stiles' car, because that's what she assumed had caused the paralysis in the first place. The girl wondered what kind of creature would be able to paralyse three people; she was pretty new to all of this supernatural stuff, but she thought that it was just werewolves.. What was this lizard thing?
"Do you have someone to pick you up?" Stiles' dad asked the young girl, as he stood in front of the two shaken teenagers, holding hands on the back of the ambulance. He felt awful, as no child should have to witness what they did — he just wanted the two of them to open up to him so he could figure all of this out. All they had told him was that they found the guy like that, but he didn't believe them for one second..

Lexi sighed, remembering that her mom was out of town for the weekend because of work, she shook her head, "My mom's at work. It's just me and my sister until tomorrow." She answered, looking down at the ground, unable to get the image out of her mind of that poor guy being crushed by the jeep — his face when the car was slowly coming down on him, the look of fear and realisation that he was going to die, and no one could help him. All Lexi and Stiles could do was watch, their whole bodies paralysed as they fought to move, but just couldn't; they felt like they could have done more, and the guilt was eating them alive.

Stiles noticed that this question strung a chord in the girl, obviously thinking about her parents divorce yet again, "Can we just get out of here now? We've told you everything." He asked his dad, giving him a pleading look.

Noah sighed, "Look, if there's something you two don't think you can tell me.." He tried to talk them into revealing what they knew, but Stiles instantly interrupted him.

"So you think we're lying?" Stiles asked, Lexi looking up at Noah at his words, upset that the man would think that. Yes, they were lying, but only so they didn't get sent to Eichen House to live the rest of their lives..

"No. Of course not." Noah said, "I'm just worried about the two of you." He admitted, noticing that the two teenagers seemed shaken to the core about what they had witnessed in there. "Now, if you saw someone do this, and you're afraid that maybe they're gonna come back and make sure you don't say anything about it.." He trailed off, letting them know that they were safe to tell him, and that he would keep them both safe.

Lexi sighed, "We didn't see anything, Mr. Stilinksi." She informed the man, feeling awful about lying, but she knew that he wouldn't believe the two of them, anyway. That, and it was up to Stiles to tell his dad about the supernatural, just like it was up to Lexi to tell Lydia when the time came..
She hated lying.

Lexi was glad to finally be home later on that night, with Noah driving her home and ringing her mother to let her know what had happened, the woman instantly driving back to Beacon Hills and joining her two daughters once again. The woman had noticed something change in her two girls since the night of the homecoming, when they had been attacked, and she wanted nothing but to help the pair, but she just didn't know how, especially when the two of them were clearly hiding something from her. That night, and the whole of the next day, Lexi and Lydia spent their time in bed, Lexi having tip toed to her sisters room that night due to her nightmare of the attack earlier on, Lydia had instantly accepted her sister in her bed, and the two slept great when they knew they weren't alone.

It wasn't until Lexi had gone for a shower in the morning to get ready for school, did she finally re-enter her sisters room in a towel, seeing her mom already trying to wake Lydia up. "We had a deal, Lydia. The two of you will see the school councillor. I don't want you to be late." The woman told Lydia, Lexi sighing as she remembered what she had to do today.
Since Lexi had witnessed multiple murders now, plus being attacked by one along with Lydia, her mom had thought it would be a good idea to send the two girls to therapy — as much as Lexi didn't want to do this, she knew that it was what was best; maybe they could help with her nightmares, or with her constant worries. "Lydia, come on." Her mom repeated, pulling the sheets off of Lydia, only to find blood soaked on her sheets.

Lexi's eyes widened, knowing that Lydia must have done that whilst she was in the shower, or she was sure that she would have noticed blood on the sheets. "Lydia?" She asked in concern, moving with her mom as she sat the other side of her sister, wrapping her arm around her as she pulled her close.

Blood and cuts lingered on Lydia's fists, indicating that she had harmed herself; when Lexi looked over at the mirror, she saw a fist mark in the middle with blood, where the girl had punched. "Why would you do this to yourself, sweetie?" Her mom asked, worry laced in her tone.

Lexi sighed as she held her sister close — she didn't know how to help her.

Therapy hadn't been as bad as Lexi had once thought, the woman didn't ask her anything personal, just how she felt after witnessing the crimes and giving her some advice on how she could get over the nightmares, all in all, Lexi didn't think she needed it, not like Lydia, at least. The second her session was over, she knew that she wanted to see Stiles and tell him how it went, but when she approached him, sitting on the chairs with Scott, she overheard something that made her laugh, "I know because I love you. I love you more than.." Stiles told Scott, as Lexi finally made herself known.

"That's the cutest thing I've ever heard." Lexi cooed, making Stiles jump out of his skin at the sound of her voice behind him, instantly spinning around with wide eyes.

"No, uh.. No! That isn't what I meant." Stiles rambled, Scott rolling his eyes and Lexi smirking at the fact he was panicking.

"They've made you their messenger, haven't they?" Lexi asked, unable to keep the amused look from her face as she looked down at Stiles. The boy instantly nodded at her question, as she chuckled, taking a seat next to him and placing her bag down on the floor in front of her, Stiles watching as she did so, his cheeks instantly blushing when her arm touched his.

"You and Allison need to find a better way to communicate." Stiles then told Scott, remembering that his friend was sat besides him, waiting for an answer to see if Allison was coming to the game tonight.

"Come on, you're the only one we can trust." Scott explained to Stiles, as Lexi looked at him with an offended expression on her face, "And you, of course. But we didn't think.. With the whole.." He stuttered, not wanting to offend her or anything.

"Therapy?" Lexi answered for him, lightly chucking at his panicked state at offending her, "It's fine. Lydia's the one that needs more help, I feel fine." She told Scott, as the two boys nodded slowly at her words. They both wished they could help Lydia, but they didn't know how; she had been through a lot, and not being able to tell the girl about the supernatural was just hard on all of them, and it sucked that they were keeping it from her.

Scott gave her a sympathetic look, before he turned to Stiles again, "Is she coming tonight?" He asked him, needing to know the whole reason he had sent Stiles to Allison in the first place.

"Yes, okay? Message complete." Stiles said, as he leaned back so Lexi could be involved in the conversation, "All right, now tell me about your boss." He stated, wanting to know what Deaton had said about the weird lizard creature.. Scott still hadn't gotten around to asking the man about Lexi and what the girl was going through, not with the weird lizard creature killing people left right and centre — he felt bad about it, but they had to concentrate on that right now, so no more people would die, and Lexi understood this, which is why she hadn't pushed Scott to get an answer from his boss.

"He thinks that Allison's family keeps some kind of records of all of the things that they've hunted." Scott explained quietly to Lexi and Stiles, the two of them listening intently, eyes wide, "Like a book." He added, not remembering the name of the book.

"A bestiary?" Stiles and Lexi asked at the same time, knowing exactly what Scott was talking about.

Scott furrowed his brows in confusion, "A what?" He asked, unsure as to how they both knew that.

"A bestiary." Lexi added, as Stiles rolled his eyes at Scott being stupid again.

Scott looked between the two teenagers with an eyebrow raised, not knowing that the two of them were into stuff like that, "I think you two mean bestiality." He corrected, unable to stop laughing at the fact that they had just revealed their secret.

Lexi looked at Stiles sideways, an unsure look on her face as they both had no idea why Scott would bring up bestiality, "Uh, no, Scott." Lexi eventually told Scott, both her and Stiles looking at him with weird looks on their faces.

"Yeah, no, we don't." Stiles added, shaking his head in disgust, "A bestiary is like an encyclopaedia of mythical creatures." He explained to his best friend, unsure at how Scott didn't know any of this, he was the most clueless werewolf in history. At his words, Lexi nodded, with the thought at the back of her mind that maybe she would be in the bestiary, on what she could be — it had to be, if Deaton didn't know what she was, then it just had to be in the book, and if it was, she could then figure out how to control these feelings she was having.

"How am I the only one that doesn't seem to know anything about this stuff?" Scott asked, huffing in annoyance at the fact that Stiles and Lexi both knew about this book before he did, and he now just embarrassed himself by claiming they were both into bestiality, he felt awful.

"I mean, unless you've looked into it, you're not 'gonna know what it is, Scott." Lexi told him, explaining that he wasn't stupid, he just didn't look out for things like this. That, and Stiles did most of the research for the both of them, Scott was like the muscle, and Stiles the brain.

"Yeah, and you're my best friend, you're a creature of the night. It's kind of like a priority of mine to know this stuff." Stiles explained, nodding at Lexi's words.

"Do you think I'll be in the book?" Lexi asked the two boys, an unsure look on her face as she spoke up, "Like, what I could be?" She asked again, when neither of them answered her question.

"Maybe. I hope so." Stiles told her, trying to make her feel better — when they got that book, the first thing he was going to do was look into what Lexi could be, the girl was his number one priority right now, not even that stupid lizard..

"Okay, so we just need to find it, and it'll hopefully tell us what that thing is, and maybe Lexi, too." Scott added, letting the girl know that she was apart of the plan, too, and they hadn't forgotten about her. The girl smiled at his words, feeling more confident about finding out what she was now that she had heard Scott say it — Lexi thought that they had all forgotten about her when they were looking into the lizard, but now, her worries had stopped.

"We need that book."

Lexi sat next to Allison as Stiles ran back and fourth between the girls and Scott, the action making her giggle as the boy got out of breath. "A bestiary." Lexi told Allison, when she looked up at Stiles in confusion, having not heard the word before.

"I think you mean.." Alison began to explain, a smirk on her face much like Scott's when he thought that the pair meant bestiality.

"No, we mean bestiary." Stiles interrupted the girl, before she could finish that sentence; he couldn't deal with another person believing that he and Lexi were into bestiality. "And the two of you, I don't want to know what's going on in your heads." He said, waving his hand around erratically.

Allison nodded, the smile wiped off of her face as she tried to think about what a bestiary was, "Okay, can you two describe this thing?" She asked, looking at Lexi for an answer.

Lexi nodded, "Uh, it's probably a book. A very old one.." The girl began to explain, as Allison quickly interrupted, knowing exactly what book she was talking about, and her family had it.

Stiles ran back off, leaving the two girls watching him run, Allison with an amused look on her face, "So, you and Stiles.." She began, as Lexi turned back to face her with a small smile on her face, just the sound of Stiles' name made her smile, and if that didn't tell her something, she didn't know what would.

"What about us?" Lexi asked, giving Allison a playful look which she rolled her eyes at, "He's so sweet to me, and even the other day, when that.. Lizard thing came towards me, he was trying to get it away from me, even if he was in as much danger as I was." She explained, remembering how the boy had been so adamant on getting the lizard away from her the other night. It made Lexi realise that Stiles did care a lot for her, and it made her heart warm.

Allison seemed to smile just the same amount as Lexi, "I mean, yeah, Scott told me that Stiles has had a crush on you since, like, forever." She informed her friend, remembering what Scott had told her when they first started dating — Stiles had had a thing for Lexi since he had first set eyes on the girl, and Allison thought it was really sweet; she was glad that Lexi felt the same way, too, as Stiles had put his heart and sole into getting this girl to even know his name.

Lexi's heart skipped a beat at her friends words, "Really?" She asked, a smile quickly making its way onto her face at the thought of Stiles having a thing for her for a while. It made her feel awful that she barely knew he existed until the start of the school year, she had never exactly given him the time of day, but then again, he had never really spoken to her up until the beginning of the school year. Lydia had resisted a lot of people who spoke to Lexi to try and get something more, unless they were popular, Lydia didn't think they deserved her sisters time of day; but Lydia had changed since she realised that Stiles actually made her sister happy, and she stopped butting in like she used to.

Allison couldn't help but smile at Lexi's smile; knowing all well what that smile meant, "He really cares for you, and I think he might.." She began to explain, when the boy in question came sprinting back over to them, completely out of breath and sweating already from running back and fourth between Allison and Scott and being their personally messenger.

"Where is the book kept?" He asked, breathing heavily as he rested his hands on the bench, trying to catch his breath.

"In my grandpas office. That's the only place I can think of where it would be." Allison explained, as Stiles quickly nodded, giving the girls a smile and a nod before rushing off back to Scott again.

As the watched him go with a small smile, Allison knew for a fact,  that Lexi Martin was falling hard for Stiles Stilinski.
