'wolf's bane'

LEXI DIDN'T KNOW IF Stiles even liked her anymore, she didn't know if he knew about Scott trying to kiss her, and wether he thought it was her that wanted the kiss, when she didn't. He had been completely avoiding her since Scott had taken her into that office and it scared her.
She enjoyed that the two of them had gotten close over the past few weeks, and he trusted her enough to let her in on his and Scott's secret. What if that was all down the drain because of that stupid moment in the office with Scott?

Even Lydia had been off with her lately, and she had no clue as to why, it just felt as if everyone was upset with her, but for whatever reason, she had no idea.
Lexi walked into the school on her own, for the first time in forever, as Lydia was too busy with Jackson and she had no clue as to what Allison was currently doing. She recalled the girl claiming that her aunt was in town, so she gathered that she was with her for most of the time.

As Lexi walked to her locker, she didn't notice that two certain boys were at the other end of the hallway, watching her. "Dude, you need to talk to her." Scott told Stiles. He felt bad for what happened the other day, and he apologised to both Lexi and Stiles, as it was the full moon, but Stiles and Lexi still haven't spoken to each other.
He didn't know why, as he knew for a fact that Lexi likes him, Stiles just couldn't believe it, therefore, was blinded.

Stiles sighed at his friends words, "She probably doesn't want to talk to me. I completely blew her off." He said to Scott, as he watched Lexi take some books out of her locker.
Scott hit Stiles on the arm, having heard enough about how Lexi didn't like him, when she clearly did. Scott could hear her raised heartbeat when she was about Stiles, and it didn't take a genius to know that she liked him.
"Ow!" Stiles exclaimed, his mouth agape at how Scott could just hit him. It hurt.

"Go and talk to her!" Scott near but shouted, pushing Stiles forwards so he would have no other choice but to head towards Lexi.

Before heading forwards, Stiles turned back and gave Scott an angry expression, while his friend merely held up his two thumbs, wishing his friend luck with the girl of his dreams.
Huffing, he turned back around and walked towards Lexi, who hadn't noticed the boy approaching - she was too involved in her own thoughts that she wasn't listening to a thing around her.
He paused behind her, scratching the back of his head as he waited, trying to think of what he could possibly say to her.

Stiles' moment was cut short, when Lexi shut her locker, before turning around and finding Stiles standing close behind her, looking like he was frustrated.
"Stiles?" She spoke, upon seeing him, causing the nervous boy to jump in his skin and look up at her, not expecting her to turn around so soon. "You okay?" She asked.

"Y-Yeah, I'm okay." He quickly spoke, still having no clue what to say to her and how to apologise for ignoring her.

"Is this about-" Lexi began to ask, when Stiles spoke over her.

"About the other-" He began to say, until he noticed Lexi talking, and they both hushed, waiting for the other to continue.

Lexi opened her mouth to speak again, as did Stiles, causing them both to silence again, chuckling awkwardly as they did so. "About the other day.." Lexi eventually began to talk, "I didn't.. You know.. I would have called you but you seemed to not want to talk to me." She said.

Stiles felt awful in this moment, he had been blaming the girl for something she didn't even do. It was his own thoughts ruining his friendship, or whatever the two had, not him. He just still couldn't believe that someone like Lexi would like him, and it was causing him to create fake scenarios in his mind that the girl would one day realise that Stiles was nothing compared to half of the boys in this school. "I'm a terrible person. I'm sorry." He apologised, as Lexi smiled at his words, glad that he didn't hate her.
"I should have called. I'm an idiot." Stiles complained.

Lexi laughed lightly, "So, you don't hate me?" She asked, nervously, afraid that he would turn around and say yes.

"No!" Stiles exclaimed, quite loud, gaining the attention from a few students around them, "No." He repeated, quieter this time. "Me and Scott have been dealing with something, I just haven't had much time." He told her truthfully.
Stiles had been so busy with trying to figure out how to get Allison's necklace with Scott, that he actually hadn't noticed he hadn't called Lexi back after he said he would.

"Oh?" Lexi asked, "Anything I can help with?" She asked him.

Lexi would love to help the two boys out - after the high school incident, she owed the two of them a lot, and would be glad to help them out with whatever issue they had.
Stiles hesitated, debating in his head wether or not he should tell her what they needed - after all, surely a girl friend of Allison's would be more able to get the girls necklace than her ex-boyfriend..
"Yeah, actually." He told her, as Lexi smiled at the fact he trusted her with their problems, "Allison's necklace. Scott thinks that there's something on there that could help him kill the alpha, which means that he can become human again." He explained.

Lexi took the information in, and she knew exactly what Stiles was talking about - the necklace that Allison never took off. "I know that necklace." She confirmed, nodding, "She never takes it off, though. I doubt any of us would be able to get it off her." Lexi said.

"Do you think you could get it off of her?" Stiles asked, knowing it was one hell of a request, but he had to try.

Lexi nodded, "I mean, I can try. But she's been hanging out with Jackson a lot lately, don't ask me why." She said, as Stiles furrowed his brows in confusion.
Lexi shrugged, "I know, I don't know why, either. I don't know if it's Jackson trying to get to Lydia or Scott, but it's weird either way." She explained.

"Yeah. That is weird." Stiles agreed.
He had never liked Jackson, he had always been a bully and he was just overall a horrible person. If he is hanging out with Allison to get back at Scott, it wouldn't surprise him.

Lexi looked back at Scott who was waiting for Stiles to come back over, and she knew that he could obviously hear them talking. "Look, I want to hang out with you and Scott, but with Allison and his breakup, it isn't best that I'm seen talking to him, you understand, don't you?" She asked in the most kindest voice she could muster.
"I'm sure that I would get an earful from Lydia if I hung out with the two of you, especially now. Scott gets that, right?" Lexi carried on, trying to explain her reasoning.

Stiles immediately nodded, getting why she didn't want to be seen talking to Scott. "He knows" He said.

Lexi smiled, "Okay, cool." She said, "I have a few lessons with her today, I'll ask about the necklace and I'll see you later, okay?" She asked.
When Stiles nodded gratefully, she smiled again, giving him a light kiss on the cheek, before eventually walking away to her first lesson of the day.

And once again, Stiles was left blushing.

Lexi didn't think it would be this hard to get a necklace off of someone, or even ask about it. She couldn't just randomly bring up the necklace, as all Allison had been talking about all day was her aunts visit, and all Lydia had been going on about was Jackson and how he was avoiding her.
It had been tiring, Lexi didn't know how much longer she could keep hearing about Jackson and Kate. Not once had she managed to talk about Stiles, and how she was starting to like him a lot.
It would be nice to talk to her best friend and sister about these things, but they were both too involved in their own life, that they didn't bother asking about her own. It hurt.

As she was sat in her chair during the beginning of the lesson, Scott gave her a questioning glance, to which she shook her head at - she hadn't managed to even ask about the necklace. She failed at her task.
She rested her head on her arms which were laid out on her desk as Lydia blocked Scott from sitting next to Allison on the other side of her, as Lexi was sat on one side.
Lexi listened as Scott told Allison about some things on his phone that he wanted to send her, and she was wishing that it wasn't what she thought it was..

When Allison picked up her books and rushed out of the lesson, her wish was ignored, and she knew just what Scott sent her. Looking over at Lydia, the two of the shook their heads at Scott's idiocy, before listening back into the lesson.

Maybe Lexi would try again later..

"You are a complete idiot." Lexi told Scott, as she sat opposite to him and Stiles, "You just ruined any chance you had with getting back together with Allison, why did you do that?" She asked him, wondering what was going through his mind when he sent her those photos.

"I thought she'd like them!" Scott defended his actions, before furrowing his brows in confusion, "I thought you couldn't be seen with me?" He asked.

"I can't be bothered with the two of them today. I've had enough of talking about Jackson and Kate." Lexi told him, taking a bite into her apple.

"Kate?" Scott asked.

"Allison's aunt." Lexi answered.

Before Scott could ask further about that, Stiles spoke up. "What did he do?" Stiles asked, unsure of what Scott had done to Allison, as he hadn't actually admitted what he did to Allison.

"He.." Lexi tried to explain, only for Scott to interrupt her.

"Can we just move on, please? I messed up. I know that now." He complained, annoyed at himself more than anything. Maybe next time he'll ask Lexi's opinion before he tried anything with Allison again..

"Okay, fine." Lexi said, rolling her eyes at him.

"Well, I came up with a plan B just in case anything like this happened." Stiles spoke up.

"What's that?" Lexi couldn't help but ask, wanting to hear what he had planned.

"Just steal the stupid thing." He answered, now bored of talking about Allison's necklace so much.

"You can't just steal it, Stiles!" Lexi scolded, not believing that he could even suggest that. "You still haven't let me try to get it." She told him.

While she was bickering with Stiles, the two hadn't noticed that Jackson was watching the three of them, but Scott had.
"Guys. He's watching us." Scott said.

"Who?" Lexi asked, now looking towards Scott.

"Jackson." Scott answered.

"Why would Jackson be watching us?" Lexi couldn't help but ask.

"He knows about me." Scott told her.

Lexi nearly choked on her coke when she heard his words. After coughing a few times, she looked at Scott with wide eyes, "He what?" She asked.

Scott seemed confused, "You didn't tell her?" He asked Stiles - he would have thought that his friend would have told Lexi what was going on, but then again, they hadn't seen the girl all day.

"I haven't seen her to do so!" Stiles defended himself, feeling bad that Lexi was out of the loop, something he didn't want for her. He turned to Lexi, "I was going to tell you, but I couldn't find you, and by that time the bell rang and.." He ranted.

"Stiles, it's okay." Lexi interrupted, stopping him with his little rant. She didn't know why sometimes he acted so stressed out around her, he didn't need to, they were friends; although, Lexi couldn't deny that they could be more than that one day..
"Do you think Jackson told my sister?" Lexi asked the two of them, "That's the last thing she needs to hear right now." She said.

Stiles shrugged whilst Scott spoke, "I don't know. I hope not." He admitted.
It was no doubt that Lydia would make his life a living hell if she knew the truth. He was so glad that Lexi was nothing like Lydia. "Act normal, you two. He's still looking." Scott told his two friends.
Stiles and Lexi froze at his words, both with food in their mouths as they didn't know what to do next. Being told to act normal had just made the two of them act even stranger. "You two have nothing to say, really?" Scott asked in defeat.
The two of them had been bickering at the table, yet when he needed them to talk, they couldn't - this just made it more of a reason as to why the two of them should be together, they're more alike than they realise.

"You put us on the spot." Lexi defended, annoyed.

When Scott's whole facial expression changed into anger and frustration, Stiles and Lexi exchanged confused glances, unsure as to what Scott was doing.
"What's wrong?" Stiles asked.

"Jackson's talking to me. He knows I can hear him." Scott said, "He's wondering if Lexi knows about me." He then spoke, as Lexi's heart sped up.

Jackson can't know that she knew about what Scott was - he would sure tell her sister and that would completely ruin their relationship. She didn't know what to do.
"I'll see you two next lesson." Lexi decided to say, quite loudly so that Jackson could hear - it would sure give him the reason to believe that she didn't know a damn thing.
When she saw the confused looks on the boys faces, she glared, "Just go with it." She whispered.

Planting a fake smile on her face, she got up from the table, giving the boys a small wave, before taking her food tray and dumping it in the bin. Without looking back, she left the canteen, afraid of what Jackson might think.
Maybe if she put up this front, he wouldn't know that she did indeed know about what Scott was. Jackson would be dangerous as a wolf, and the three of them knew it - he can't know about this.. He just can't.

With another problem at the back of her mind, Lexi sighed deeply. Could this get any worse?
