'magic bullet'

LEXI WAS PRETTY SURE that she had passed her test, and she was proved right, when the teacher placed the paper down on her desk, and it had A+ written on it. She smiled to herself upon seeing the paper, and leant back, not needing to go over it and look at what she had gotten wrong.
She was like Lydia in the matter of being smart - the two Martin girls were probably the smartest in the year, not that anyone knew, as Lydia wanted to hide it.
She was about to get her back in order to apply some more lipstick, when she heard Scott yell, and it made her jump, causing her lipstick to roll over to the person next to her, and that happened to be Stiles.
Lexi groaned and looked to where it landed, only to see Stiles already holding it up to her with a huge grin on her face.
She couldn't hold back her own smile as she took the lipstick from his hands, mumbling a 'thankyou', as she did so.
Lexi and Stiles had been speaking everyday since she went round his to watch movies, and they were thinking of doing it again soon - for the first time in a while, she was actually happy.
"I'm studying with Allison after school today." She heard Scott tell Stiles, and she smirked to herself at the words.
"That's my boy!" Stiles cheered, happy that Scott was finally going to get some.
He wished that he could, too..
"We're just studying." Scott replied, clearly not understanding what 'studying' actually meant.
Lexi shook her head in amusement at his words - some boys were really clueless.
When Stiles explained that he was going to 'deball' Scott, Lexi had to step in to help out the clueless boy.
"Studying never means studying, Scott." She told Scott, gaining both of the boys attention, "Ever." She added.
"What?" Scott asked, now growing nervous for his studying date with Allison.
"Studying is more than studying." She informed him, "If you know what I mean."
Lexi winked, and turned back to the front of the class, leaving Scott panicking out of his wits - he wasn't accustomed to these kind of situations before, he has never even had a girlfriend before.
He was screwed.
Once Lexi spotted Lydia in the hallway, she jogged up to her twin with a gleam on her face, causing Lydia to look at her confusingly, wondering what's got her sister so happy.
"What's up with you?" Lydia asked, laughing slightly at her sister.
Lexi smirked, "Allison and Scott are studying tonight." She informed Lydia, unable to keep her excitement down.
This would be a new stepping stone with the couple, and she couldn't wait - she thought they were great together.
Lydia seemed to get what her sister was implying, and she smirked back, "Do you think Allison knows?" She asked.
Lexi shook her head, "Nope." She said, before linking her arm through Lydia's and dragging her down the hallway to find Allison.
"Looks like we have to be teachers for her." She chuckled.
It only took them two minutes to find Alison from down the hallway, "Ally!" Lexi called our, gaining the girls attention.
"Hey, guys." Allison called out, watching as the Martin twins strutted up to her, she didn't know why Lexi looked so giddy, but she liked it - it wasn't often the girl was like this.
"Lexi tells me you're studying with Scott tonight." Lydia straight out told Allison, without even saying hi to the girl.
Lexi rolled her eyes, before they all gathered around the bottom of the stairs.
People walked around the girls, avoiding to be anywhere near them due to their popularity, so it allowed the girls to talk in peace.
"Where did you find that out?" Allison asked, looking around at their surroundings nervously.
"I heard Scott and Stiles talking about it in first period." Lexi answered, "We've come to make sure you know what's going to happen." She said, sending Allison a suggestive look.
"What do you mean?" Allison asked, clearly clueless on what studying actually meant. "We're just studying."
"Just studying never ends with just studying." Lydia informed her, unsure of how the girl didn't know this.
Allison looked towards Lexi with a confused look, only for the twin to nod her head, "It's like getting into a hot tub. Somebody eventually cops a feel." Lydia carried on.
Lexi rolled her eyes at Lydia's statement, "I mean, that's a bit of an exaggeration, Lyds." She told Lydia, as she and Allison followed behind the girl on the stairs.
Allison looked between the twins in complete confusion, receiving multiple explanations on what was going to happen between her and Scott tonight.
"So, what are you two saying?" She asked them, not understanding what would happen between her and Scott tonight.
"I'm just saying, you know, make sure he covers up." Lydia eventually told her, coming to conclusion that something was bound to happen on their studying date.
Lexi sighed, "You don't have to do anything you don't want to. Don't feel forced." She told Allison, noticing that her twin seemed to be telling Allison that she had to do something with Scott.
However, Allison didn't have a clue as to what the Martin twins were talking about, and she clutched onto her jacket in nervousness.
"Hello, Snow White, we're talking about a condom." Lydia laughed, not believing that Allison wouldn't know what it is that they were talking about.
Allison laughed nervously, finally understanding what they meant, "Are you kidding? After one date?" She asked them.
"Don't be a prude. Give him a little taste." Lydia told her, like it was nothing.
"She doesn't have to." Lexi told Lydia, before turning around to look at Allison, "You don't have to, Ali."
Allison seemed overwhelmed with what the twins were telling her, and the fact that they were telling her completely different things on what to with Scott.
"Well..." She trailed off, scratching the back of her head, "I mean.. How much is a little taste?"
After these words, Lexi cooed at her, "You really like Scott, don't you?" She asked, smiling widely that her friend had found someone she really liked.
Lexi wished that she could find someone too, but she had never been able to find anyone that held her interest, or were even nice to her.
Lydia always said that she was too nice for her own good, and every boy that she had a thing with, had taken advantage of her niceness - she wasn't exactly interested anymore.
"Well.. He's just different." Allison reasoned with Lexi, "When I first moved here, I had a plan, no boyfriends till college.. I just move too much. But then I met him, and he was different." She said. "I don't know, I can't explain it." She laughed.
"Someone's in love." Lexi cooed, like a child.
Lydia rolled her eyes, "I can." She spoke, ignoring what Lexi said, "It's your brain flooding with phenylethylamine." She explained, causing Allison to furrow her brows in confusion, as Lydia didn't often show how smart she was.
"What?" Allison asked, laughing at what Lydia had just said.
Lydia simply shrugged it off, not wanting to explain what she had just said. She looked towards her twin, who shrugged at her, not wanting to explain either - they both thought it was too advanced for Allison to understand.
"I'll tell you what to do. When's he coming over?" Lydia asked,
"Right after school." Allison replied.
"That doesn't give us enough time!" Lexi panicked, before taking Allison's arm and pulling her away, with Lydia following closely behind.
They needed to teach her, and fast..
——
Lexi sat in her car in boredom, watching as the cats behind her lined up, with nowhere else to go - she just wanted to go home and get in a nice warm bath, but the jeep in front of her was preventing her from doing so.
Sighing, she took off her seatbelt and opened the door, ready to jump out and moan at whoever was causing the line up, only, when she did, she recognised Scott and Stiles, stood in front of some man on the road.
When she looked behind her, she saw the multiple cars and the people inside looking extremely angry, and with a huff, she walked forwards, ignoring the beeping on everyone's car horns.
"Is everything okay?" She asked, as she approached the two, and the unknown man on the floor.
Lexi noticed that he looked pretty rough, and furrowed her brows at Scott and Stiles, "Is he okay? He doesn't look so good."
Both of the boys widened their eyes at the girl, and Stiles reacted quickly, by rushing in front of her so that Derek wasn't in her eyesight, as he couldn't control his shifting. "This guy?" Stiles asked, scoffing, crossing his arms on his chest, "Pfft, yeah, he's just.. Just.. Hungover. Yeah, he's hungover, but party goer, that one." He chuckled nervously.
Lexi smiled awkwardly, again, not knowing why he was acting so strange - when she tried to get another look at the poorly man, he stepped into her eyesight again, stopping her from getting one look at him.
"Are you sure? He looks seriously ill." She pointed out, not wanting to give up.
"You know what, you're right." Stiles announced, like a light bulb went off in his head, "I was just going to take him there now." He explained, as he began to gently push her back, ignoring the sparks of electricity he felt when he touched her.
"Okay.." Lexi trailed off, allowing him to push her away from the scene, "You best hurry, people aren't happy that you're blocking the road." She told him, pointing towards the line of cars behind Stiles' jeep.
She watched as Scott got the man into the car, and sent Stiles a thumbs up.
"Yeah, were gonna go now." He told her, giving her a confident smile, "I'll see you tomorrow. Bye, Lex." Stiles said, before rushing back to his jeep.
Lexi stood in confusion, as she watched Stiles leave her - no one had even called her Lex before, she had never had a nickname, and she liked it.
It felt special that he would call her that, and she couldn't stop the wide smile that spread across her face and the redness that rose up to her cheeks.
She was beginning to like Stiles more and more, each day..
