AT THE END OF the week, Lexi was getting prepared for the party that her and her twin were hosting; the back to school party that happened every year.
The twins would often have parties, them having the best house and the best at the planning and decorations, everyone loved their parties, they were known for them.

"How does this look?" Lydia asked, walking into her twins bedroom with an outfit on for the night ahead.

"Looks great." Lexi answered, barely taking a glance at Lydia's outfit, she knew that whatever the girl wore, she would look good in it, so there was no point in judging it.

Lydia smiled sheepishly, "I know." She agreed, gazing at herself in the mirror in admiration, as Lexi sorted through her closet for an outfit to wear.
When the front door rang, Lydia instantly perked up, "That'll be Jackson." She sang, before practically skipping out of the bedroom in excitement.

Lexi laughed to herself, not without rolling her eyes at her sister, before pulling out a last minute outfit to put on. She was the kind of girl that could wear sweats and still look attractive, most girls envied her and most guys wanted to be with her; although she gave none of them attention.
She was that kind of girl that didn't care for attention, she just wanted to get through high school with good grades and be able to make it to college in one piece.

Later on in the night, Lexi was rushing around the house, making sure that none of her mom's possessions got destroyed, obviously Lydia wasn't going to bother with that, as she was too busy with Jackson, so it landed on Lexi's shoulders to keep the house clean.
She did had a good night, though, she spoke to a lot of the people who she doesn't get a chance to hang out with at school, she was having a blast.

What made it even better, was that she saw the buzzcut boy, Stiles, across the room from her, thinking that he was secretly staring at her, when in all honesty, she could blatantly see him from the corner of her eye.
"Excuse me." She told her friends, before walking over to Stiles, who turned around quickly once he saw Lexi looking, and pretended to do something behind him.

Lexi approached him, but he didn't turn around, so she decided to tap his shoulder.
This must have scared him, as he spun around in one quick moment, accidentally spilling his cup of alcohol over Lexi's dress.

Lexi's mouth opened wide as she gasped, feeling the cold liquid hit her skin, it was an uncomfortable feeling. She could also see Stiles' panic ridden facial expression.
He was slapping himself, the Lexi Martin came over to speak to him, and he spilled his drink all over her, he couldn't feel more embarrassed and humiliated if he tried.

"Oh, my god!" He gasped, placing his cup onto the counter, "I'm so sorry! Oh my god, oh..." He stuttered, just as Lexi interrupted him.

"Stiles, it's fine." She laughed, putting a hand on his arm to reassure him, "I'm not a dress kind of girl, anyway, it gives me an excuse not to wear it anymore."

Stiles gasped at her, not believing that she remembered his name from the first day of school. "You remember me?" He blurted out, not thinking of how stupid he must look.

Lexi smiled brightly at him, before shaking her head in amusement, "Of course I remember." She spoke, "I'm not stupid."

"Are you sure you have the right person?" Stiles asked, looking around them to see if there was an attractive guy near them that she was actually meaning to talk to. There couldn't be any reason as to why she was talking to him right now.

Lexi scoffed in amusement, "Uh, yeah." She answered, finding it humorous that Stiles was acting so skittish in front of her, Lexi noticed Scott and Allison dancing from the corner of her eyes, making her smile once more, a smile that Stiles went weak at the knees for, "Your friend's Scott, right? Scott McCall?" She asked.

Stiles nodded, feeling disappointed as he knew the only reason she wanted to talk to her was to get closer to Scott, "I can get you his number, if you like." He spoke, shoving his hands into his pockets, looking at the ground.
He hated to admit the things that this girl could make him feel, he was head over heels for her.

"I don't want his number, Stiles." Lexi told him, causing him to look up at her and furrow his eyebrows in confusion, "I was just wondering, since my friend is dating your friend, that makes us friends." She announced.

"Us?" He asked in shock, earning a nod from Lexi, "You mean, me, and you? Friends?"

Lexi laughed again, something that Stiles had made her do more times tonight, than the whole week. "Yes, Stiles." She spoke, making sure that her speech was clear so he would understand, she didn't get why he was acting so strange around her, "Unless you don't want to?"

Stiles shook his head frantically, "No." He dismissed, "I would love that." He said, earning a strange look from Lexi, "I mean... That would be, uh, cool." He spoke, trying to act chill around the extremely attractive girl.

Lexi laughed again, feeling the affect of the alcohol catch up to her, she wasn't the best drinker - she was a complete lightweight.
"Are you drunk?" Stiles asked her.

Lexi smiled widely, nodding, "Yeah." She giggled, lifting up her cup of alcohol and shoving it towards Stiles, who took it from her hands, "You want some? We can share, you know, since we're friends now."

"Yeah, friends." Stiles muttered, unheard by the Martin girl, who tilted her head in confusion, "I mean, if we're going to be friends, then let's get you sober so you don't get too sick."

Lexi looked at him in surprised at how kind he was being, most guys would take an opportunity at her drunken state, but not Stiles. "That's so nice." She said, putting a hand on her heart, "Nobodies ever been so nice to me."

"You can't have met many nice people, then." Stiles spoke, filling up a new cup of water and guiding her to the island in the kitchen to sit her down, "Here." He said, handing her the water, making sure that she drank some, before he glanced around the room, forgetting that he was supposed to be watching out for Scott.

When he spot sight of his best friend, he sighed, noticing how he was rushing out of the house in a hurry, looking distraught. Stiles hesitated, looking towards the tipsy girl that he had loved since kindergarten, then looked back towards where Scott had ran out.
He bounced on his legs, needing to make a decision fast, before he finally came up with his decision, something that he would probably regret.

"Uh, stay here for a minute. I'll be right back." He told Lexi in a hurry, as she nodded at him, sending him another kind smile, before he ran off after his best friend.

Only problem was, he never came back that night, leaving Lexi alone.

The following week, when Lexi saw Stiles in the hallway, by her locker, she huffed, rolling her eyes, before walking over to her locker with her head held high, not showing her embarrassment that she had felt the night he had left her.
As she approached the locker, she didn't take one glance at Stiles, as she began to pull her books from her locker, for her next lesson.

"Look, I'm really sorry for ditching you on Friday." He began to say, as Lexi paused with her hand in her locker, she was confused at the fact he was apologising, she expected him to pretend that nothing happened, just like most of the other guys she knew, they would just go on and act normal.
"Scott was really nervous about his date with Allison and he needed to talk, so I had to leave and..."

"It's okay, Stiles." Lexi admitted.

"And I was trying to be a good friend... And... Wait, what?" He asked, stopping his rambling to fully understand what she had just said.

"I said it's okay." She said, shutting her locker door and fully facing him, showing a small smile on her face, "I'm not mad at you."

"You're not?" He asked, causing Lexi to shake her head, allowing her orange locks to bounce around, catching Stiles' attention, "I would have rang you, but I don't have your number, so I couldn't, and I felt bad the whole weekend."

Lexi laughed again, before pulling out a pen from her bag, clicking it, "Come here." She spoke, motioning for him to give her his hand, to which she took hold of, sending jolts of electricity throughout Stiles's body.
"This is my number, feel free to ring me whenever you want." She spoke as she wrote on his hand.

Stiles couldn't believe it; he thought that Scott was the one to get lucky with his bite, but he was receiving the same luck with the love of his life.
Scott watched them from the end of the hallway with a wide grin, knowing how long his friend had been pawning over this girl.

As she finished writing, Stiles didn't move his hand, holding it out in the open, making sure it didn't get too sweaty and rub off.
"T-Thanks." He stuttered, as she put the pen back in her bag.

Their conversation was cut short, as Lydia shouted for her twins name from the other end of the hallway, catching her twins attention.
"That's my cue." She said, backing away, "Call me?"

Stiles only gasped at her, earning another laugh to come from Lexi's mouth - she didn't understand how she had only just come into contact with this boy, she liked him already.
Stiles was broken out of his trance by looking down at his hand which had the girl of his dreams' number written on; he looked at it with wide eyes, before running down to Scott frantically, getting the boy to write the number down before it smudged.

This action wasn't missed by Lexi, as she watched him as he freaked out to his best friend at the interaction. She hoped she could get to know him more, she could tell they will become close.
