"WHAT!!!!!! I don't believe this.....You actually went into that unlit section of the hotel. Girl!!!! What's wrong with you????" kirti lashed out at her for being so irresponsible and absolutely stupid. Naira pouted childishly.
"I told you I went after the bunny. And unfortunately I forgot the bunny in that room. I hope that kind man takes good care of him." she whispered plaintively. Payal was listening quietly, however the mention of 'a man' seemed to have piqued her curiosity. She loved men. Every girl does, barring some idiots like her best friend. Yet she loved her so much.
"Mind telling us how he looked, I mean was he handsome????" payal asked excitedly. Naira opened her mouth to speak but then stopped. She actually didn't pay much attention to his physical appearance given the situation she was in last night. But she did remembered vague details about him.
"I can't say for certain but he was very tall, I mean I've never seen anybody more taller than him, he probably had a dusky complexion, very dusky at that. And I don't know but I felt quite vulnerable and unsafe around him even though he was so kind to me. He even offered me a seat on the couch on which I slept because I was so tired. But yeah....he looked rich...." finished Naira. Kirti nodded and then turned to look at Payal.
"What the hell payal?? What's wrong with you???" she asked disdainingly. Naira too looked at Payal and found the latter slobbering like a thirsty child. Her innocent head couldn't apprehend why she was behaving so.
"Oh Lord!!!! I am dead..... I guess he was probably a man straight out of a dark fantasy novel!!! He he he......" payal was talking to herself, giggling like a donkey in the process. Naira scratched her head.
"Um...I don't know!!!! How can you be so sure i mean it was me who saw him not you!!!" asked Naira perturbed. Payal rolled her eyes at her.
"Because you are stupid dear Nayu!!! Had I been in your place, I swear I would've fallen into his strong, muscly arms.....I wouldn't have mind a bit had he crushed me in his embrace!!!!" payal said dreamily, biting her lower lip. Naira and Kirti stared at her stupefied.
"Why would you want somebody to crush you Payal??? You'll die....don't you love your life???" asked Naira, a little offended that payal thinks so lowly about her own life. Payal looked at her blankly.
"God!!!! I'm friends with idiots!!!!" Payal declared throwing her hands up in air. Naira pouted.

Hamid Mahamat was happy. Why wouldn't he when he was accorded such a warm welcome after touching down in India this morning!!! He was brought here in Kerala all the way from Delhi in a sleek Lamborghini. Not just that, he was fed handsomely in this straight-out-of-a-fantasy kind of a mansion. The only regret was that he wasn't offered meat perhaps the Lord of the mansion was vegetarian. More than anything, Hamid Mahamat was going bananas after seeing the bundles of Rupees piled up on his table carelessly. Born and raised in the impoverished sections of Chad, he had worked hard to secure a position in politics, though his survival warranted his frequent boot licking of the military generals. Corruption was in his blood, dishonesty his legacy. He had acquired these qualities from his predecessors and he shall pass these traits to his successors. It wasn't that that he wasn't aware that all this was morally wrong but it's just that you can't live in the river full of crocodiles as a fish, you gotta be one of them or else you perish. Mahamat had never seen so much money in his life, maybe his bosses had but he had never. And this huge sum of money was being offered to him......Had he ever imagined this??? Simple answer is no.
"Hamid. So what's your decision???" asked a bald man, arms folded over his strong chest. Hamid grinned at him.
"Me no proyblem.....me ready!!!" in his broken English he conveyed his decision.

From the corner of the room the bunny squeaked in a cage. Hamid turned to look at it.
"Cute rabbit....where buy it??" asked Hamid, his slightly yellow teeth on display.
"That's my baby girl's favourite animal, keep your eyes off it." Hamid heard a voice from his straight front. He turned and found him seated just across him. Perhaps he was so engrossed in gawking at the money that he failed to notice his arrival. But wait....did he just say baby girl??? Oh!!!! Same story always....must've been a sugar daddy to a young harlot. He was a rich man, must've plenty of young women warming his bed. I can assure you my dear readers Hamid has a pea sized brain.
"Ok. Me no bad feeling." Hamid clarified. The shirtless man in front of him stood up and began walking towards him. Hamid was a 55 year old man but he was once the age of this guy, yet he couldn't remember if he ever had a perfect body like him. What's the shame in roaming naked when you have a body worth dying for!!! Hamid felt an unknown terror seeping into his body once his host stopped before him and that's when a strong smell of woody citrus mixed with alcohol hit his nose. He nervously looked up and saw his imposing figure towering over him. He had dark eyes bordered by this eyebrows. His hairs were black and had a decent volume to them, but they weren't nicely combed that was sure. His complexion was dark, not as dark as his but fairly dark but that suited him perfectly. Hamid knew that people living in this part of India flaunted this skin colour, though it wasn't wholly accurate since brown skin is basically found everywhere in India. He had naturally high cheekbones and a sharp jawline covered with a stylish beard. Hamid searched for a cleft in the chin but he didn't have any.
"Hamid....is that your name?" his voice was husky and deep. Hamid gulped and nodded meekly.
"Well!!!! I will come straight to business..." he spoke as he walked towards the cage scaring the poor bunny. He bent down and picked up the cage.
"The demand for my products is increasing. My clients have doubled up.....I need more land. I do have a couple of manufacturing plants set up in Somalia and Niger but that's not enough. I need more land to build more plants. Do you follow what I am saying??? You do I believe." he said as he opened the cage and lifted the bunny out in his hand. The bunny started throwing his tiny feet in the air, a clear message to the human to let him go. But this human was special, and a bit psychotic. Hamid was more worried about the quivering bunny than concerned about what this big man was saying.
"So Hamid, I believe you understand what I want. A big chunk of land in a sequestered village where no tourist is allowed. Am I understood???" he asked, running his fingers along the fur of the bunny. The bunny disliked him intently, he missed that pretty little girl from last night.
"Um yes. Me understanding everyting!!!" he affirmed. The shirtless man smirked.
"Good. And one more thing before you leave Mr. Politician." he came closer to Hamid and spoke.
"If you double cross me I kill you. Not just you but your three wives and 14 kids and two girlfriends as well. Understood!!" he declared cruelly. Hamid gulped. He knew this man wasn't joking, I mean people with that amount of money surely don't joke about killing.
"Yes." poor Hamid Mahamat could only come up with this. After that he was told to leave which he obediently did.

Once he left, the bald guy turned towards his boss who was caressing the bunny.
"What do we do with the bunny??" he asked gruffly. The shirtless man smiled, caressing the bunny's fur at the same spot where she ran her fingers over it.
"I like him. He's lovely don't you think!!!" he was lying obviously. He hated rabbits as much as he hated people like Hamid Mahamat who drive their people to hunger and poverty purposely. The bald guy was confused.
"Um..."
"When are we leaving for Mumbai???" interposed the boss. The bald man cleared his throat.
"In an hour." he told him. The boss placed the bunny back in the cage and locked it safely. This little beast was too precious to him....she touched it after all. And anything she touches is sacred to him.
"Hm and I have yet to take a bath...." he muttered to himself. Fortunately he wasn't stinking so it wasn't that bad of a situation to be honest but he needed a bath that was certain.
"You are going to Mumbai!!! But you just came back from there last night!!!" said a voice from the door. It was a girl, faintly similar to him but absolutely not beautiful. Alongside her was a guy who shared much similarities to her.
"I love the weather there do you have any problem??? Go prune the trees outside...better plant some crepe myrtles too." the boss ordered and left for his room. The girl scowled.
"We live here just to get humiliated every single day." she muttered aggressively.

Dhariwals had a tradition to eat their meals together and dinner is usually the most coziest gathering of the day for them. They get to share their stories with each other. Tonight it was Naira who had took the position of a storyteller.
"And you know what Dadu Payal has actually went to a pub. She said it's not that bad and people unnecessarily attack pubs." she said, mixing rice and curry on her plate. Mahesh furrowed his brow.
"Really. I don't know about that." he said, pouring some water for himself in a glass. Visheshwar smiled at the conversation between grandpa and his granddaughter.
"By the way, I have asked the hotel manager to provide me with the list of the names of the people who were in that section of the hotel last night. He said he'll try." Nilima said. Rest of them looked at her shell shocked.
"Is that necessary dear??? I mean Naira is back with us and she told us nothing scary happened so..." her mother said politely. Nilima shook her head.
"No mom I smell a rat. I am gonna find that man who helped Naira." she declared. Visheshwar was too fed up with everything to protest.
"And papa tonight I have to go to the Nettles with Kirti!!! I told you day before yesterday." said Naira adorably. Visheshwar gasped loudly.
"Oh my bad!!! I forgot my dear....Can we go tomorrow I am just too tired today??" he asked sheepishly. Naira pouted.
"You say this all the time and kirti will be waiting for me....i don't know I will go and..."
"Fine I'll take you there ok. Now finish your food quietly." Neil interposed drawing a cute smile from her. Nilima was still thinking about that unnamed man from last night. Her big sister intuition was kicking off and she knew this guy was a bad sign. Naira could be in trouble and as a big sister it was contingent upon her to protect her no matter what.
"Naira do you recall anything about that man??" she asked seriously. Naira huffed.
"He was tall, he had a dark complexion, he looked rich and that's all I know. I don't wanna remember him he was kinda creepy." she told her casually, eating rice and curry. Nilima's anxiety was back.

The owner of Nettles cafe was anxious. Probably because his cafe was in legal trouble. He was expecting someone's arrival, someone who he had wronged in the past and who was now back to take what was his. Narasimha Varma was a steel mogul but in reality he made weapons, illegal weapons. The steel business was just to fool the world but the world somehow knew his profession and therefore stayed mum. Every big mafia and gangleader was his client, he himself was no lesser of a mafia given his other covert businesses concerning opium smuggling and what not. Tonight he was coming to twist his neck and take back this cafe that is built on his land. Unaware of all this messy business, Naira and her friend kirti were enjoying the doughnut. Naira loved doughnuts , kirti wasn't such a fan but she came here often just for her friend. Neil had to settle for a smoothie since he wasn't a big doughnut lover.
"Neil bhaiya can you click a picture of us please." Naira pleaded adorably. Neil sighed and opened the camera of his phone.
"Kirti smile...." Naira said and giggled as they posed for the picture. Kirti whispered something in her ear and they both started laughing. Neil huffed. It's not easy being around teenage girls.

He watched her from a distance. His hands clasped behind him. How beautiful she looked in that floral maxi dress, his only complaint was that it was sleeveless and showed a bit too much of her unblemished milky white skin. He bet she smelled like lilies or that's what the fragrance was called. She smelled like a spring garden, so summery and soothing. He remembered running his fingers along the length of her long silky hairs. The urge to capture her in his arms was just too strong, he was finding it too hard to resist himself from doing things that would make his pretty little flower cry all day long. That would be a wonderful sight to watch though. He chuckled and shook his head. His love for her would pull him away from doing such thing. Though he wasn't sure of that. There was a decent looking boy around her, and he knew he was her brother. I mean he wouldn't be alive had he been anything other than that. He himself was surprised how quickly he had fallen in love with her. She had him wrapped around her little dainty fingers.
"Mr. Varma please understand I..."
"Kill him...." Narasimha whispered, frowning at his audacity to interrupt when he is watching his baby girl. The man was alarmed.
"Mr. Varma....Mr. Varma...." the bald guy pressed his hand over his mouth and dragged him away.

Naira was full after eating one full doughnut and she was finding it hard to finish the second one.
"Neil bhaiya I can't eat more. Please finish this." she requested innocently. Neil looked down at her seriously.
"I told you two would be too much for you, you don't listen to me. Leave it. Come let's go home it's already late." and with that he stood up. Kirti and Naira followed him to the counter.
"Three doughnuts, one smoothie and two cokes." Neil told the boy on the counter. The boy smiled.
"Your bill has been paid Sir." he told them sweetly. Neil was puzzled and so were Naira and Kirti.
"Paid!!! By who????" he asked shocked. The boy at the counter nervously looked behind Neil and saw the new owner of the cafe casting a deadly glare at him. He gulped.
"Um you are our 100th customer and therefore it's free for you...." he lied. Neil felt awkward but when the boy himself doesn't want to take money then what can he do.
"Okkk.....thank-you then!!!!" Neil said sheepishly and turned to leave.
"How good if every eating place follows this trend??" he whispered to Naira. She giggled.

He watched her as she left. Trust me his heart broke into million pieces watching her leave but he knew it was for a short time. I mean she's going to spend the rest of her life with him so why cry over a momentary goodbye. She didn't see him which wasn't a bad thing necessarily but he would've been over the moon had she looked at him even for once. He would do anything just to get acknowledged by her.....anything. But once she left, the cafe was empty. He liked it that way. He wanted nobody else's company but hers. Oh!!!! She's driving him crazy already. He sat on the chair and asked the boy to bring over the leftovers from her plate. The boy acquiesced and deposited the plate of half eaten doughnut in front of him.
"You love doughnuts don't you baby girl." he whispered picking up the half eaten doughnut.
"And I love you." he said, biting on the doughnut. Eating her leftover somehow made him feel that his lips had her lips were in sort of a contact. A very intimate contact. He wasn't a sugar consumer but fuck the six pack abs he's eating what his baby's eating. Moreover, in his house there's a saying that a couple should eat from one plate so to bring more love into their relationship. He swears he was ready to explore any kind of superstition just to keep her with him.
"Baby girl you belong to me...." he vowed to himself as he leaned back on his chair, thinking about his baby girl.
