"Come on, Aein, pick up!" Jimin had been trying to reach Haily for two days, but she wasn't at the club or answering his calls or texts.
"Where are you?" He heard only the ringing on the other end and the voice of her voicemail.
"Jimin!" Yong's voice startled him.
"We need to talk. In my office!" ordered Yong .
"Yong, don't. I don't want another girl."
Yong raised his brows and Jimin understood that he should not challenge him so he followed Yong in his office.
Yong took a seat in his black office chair and looked at Jimin.
"Haven't you been able to persuade the little one yet?"
"Haily!" sighed Jimin.
"Oh , yes, Haily." Yong had to grin.
"Mick and Mia are out, the space needs to be filled."
Jimin clenched his jaw . "I know!"
"Well, what are you then waiting for ? For....who was her name again?" Yong snapped his fingers as if he was thinking....
"Haily!" replied Jimin for him.
"Anyways.Your time is up, I will fill the place with someone else. In return, you will fulfill a mission. "
"Mission?"
Yong nodded. " Yeah, and we'll pick up where we left off."
Jimin was unsettled because there was only one thing that reminded him of old times and that was not at all what Jimin wanted.
"You're going to pay a visit to a club with some of my men. "
"Yong, please. I thought we left that behind us!"
Yong stood up, walked around his desk and took a deep breath.
"You decided to do this ten years ago Jimin. Or you'd be rotting in jail right now. I gave you the chance. But hey..." Yong raised his hands.
" You can quit at any time, only then you have to pay for it!"
Jimin swallowed...
"What club!"
Yong smiled..." There you go!"
He walked up to Jimin and stopped just inches from him.
"Jong-hun's club." he whispered.
"What? No!" Jimin's anger rose.
"Why not? Because your little one is stripping there? Or because of Jong-hun? I hardly think its because of the latter."
"Yong , I can't beat everything up there!"
"Why not? Oh I see our little Jimin may have fallen in love. Am I right?"
Jimin didn't replied, instead a thousand feelings overwhelmed him.
Yong went back to his chair and sat down.
"Okay, Jimin. I'll give you a few more days, either you convince Miss Haily to work by your side and not for my brother anymore, or you do what I tell you and smash Jong-hun's club."
"What if I can't convince her?"
Yong grinned.
"Then she's mine."
"You fucking son of a bitch!"
Jimin clenched his fists.
"I always get what I want in the end Jiminah!"

It's been two days and I can't shake the thought that Yong has something on me.
I kept asking what Jong-Hung know but the more I asked, the more he kept silent.
So I decided to find out on my own what Yong wants from me.
The first thing I did was to go on that date that Jimin wanted me to go on. But before I did that, I wanted to see my father.
So I set out for the place I left in a huff three years ago. I went to Daegu.
I wasn't sure what I was actually looking for there....
The fact that I broke up with my father in a quarrel should prevent me from showing up there at all.
And another reason I never returned home was my stepmother Ho Yumi.
My father married her only a few month after my mother was buried. I never forgave him for that.
She crept into my life like a poisonous viper. Tried to turn my father against me. Which she often succeeded in doing.
I was a thorn in her side, the annoying evil of a relationship that was not happy at all.
The car ride to Daegu took me three whole hours.
I parked my car in front of my father's house, turned off the engine and took a deep breath.
Then I got out, walked up the driveway and stood in front of the door.
I took another deep breath and rang the doorbell.
Judging by the steps I knew that Yumi would open the door, she always wore heels, no matter where, no matter when and no matter what occasion.
And when the door opened I looked straight into her face, which had more makeup than my whole color palette.
"Ho Su-Ri!!" she greeted me, but not with joy, I could hear that in her tone.
"Yumi!"
"What honor brings you to us? Money?"
I sighed and rolled my eyes.
"I want to see Appa, that's all. After that, I'll disappear immediately so don't worry."
Yumi stepped aside and I entered the house I was never happy in. Even the smell reminded me of that time.
"Your father is in his study." Yumi barely spoke out and I made my way there.
When I reached his study, my heart was pounding. How will he receive me? Will he listen to me? Will he even want to talk to me.
I exhaled slowly and knocked .
"Come in!" I heard him call.
I turned the doorknob and opened the door.
I saw my father sitting at his desk, his head hanging over documents which he surely took home from work.
"Appa?"
His head shot up when he heard my voice.
"Hi!" I said in a careful whisper, smiling sheepishly.
"Su-Ri!" he got up from his seat and came over to me and hugged me.
" Three years have prevented you from visiting me?"
"Appa...!" he let go of me and looked at me. I could see tears in his eyes.
"I went to the café so many times, you were never there!" he lifted my chin.
"Appa I..."
"Su-ri, are you okay? Is everything okay?"
I wanted answers and I thought I should start with my father.
No matter what happened, the quarrel, the sudden death of my mother and the fact that he never told me what caused it, I put all that in the background.
I just needed to know if Yong had told my father anything.
And maybe also because I wanted to see him?
" I...wanted to see you and talk to you about something."
My father nodded and we both sat down on the couch.
My father smiled and lightly padded my cheek with his palm.
"You look so much like your mother, Su-Ri."
"Appa!" I slid away from him a little .
"I ...!" I cleared my throat ..." ...am here because I ...!"
"What are you doing in Seoul? What do you do for your living?" my father interrupted me. "Do you need financial support ?"
My father stood up and went to his desk to get his checkbook out of his drawer.
"Appa no!" I stood up and walked over to him. "I don't need your money. I make good money!"
"You have a good job?" his question answered mine. He doesn't know anything about the club I work at.
"Yes!" I nodded.
My father sighed and looked at me.
"Why don't you work in the café your mother left you? Like she wanted?"
"Appa, please!" I whispered.
"Will you at least go visit her at her grave?"
"It's better I remember Eomma the way I saw her last time. A visit to her grave would be a farewell forever."
"The last time we saw each other we had a big fight and you just disappeared!"
"Because you prefer to trust your new wife more than your own daughter!"
My father approached me and I stepped back. I was not far from hugs.
"Why are you here? Are you in trouble?"
I didn't know if I was ready to tell him about Yong. Nor did my father mention anyone inquiring about me or the club where I earned my money.
"Was it really a heart attack in the middle of the street Appa? She was in great health."
"Su-ri, I've told you everything. It's been 10 years. It is what it is."
That knot in my throat built up as my father turned away from me.
"Did you ever loved her? Because I never saw you hold her in your arms or kiss her?"
Nothing. my father didn't answered me.
"What would happen if I tell you i work in a club where I show myself naked in front of men? Would I still be your daughter?" what the heck am i doing?
My father turned to me. His face exasperated.
"Do you?" he came to me. "Tell me you don't."
"What if I did?"
"Then you're not my daughter anymore!"
I nodded. "Okay!"
Then I turned and went to the door. But before I left I turned to my father once more.
"Eomma's body wasn't even cold and you married her!" I pointed my head to the door. He knew I meant Yumi.
"I know there's something wrong with Eomma's death, but I don't know why you're keeping the truth from me."
I waited a few more seconds, hoping he would finally talk to me about it.
But he sat back at his desk and went back to his work.
"You drove all the way out here to stay for just two minutes?"
"I thought I was getting answers, but I guess I was wrong."
I sighed and left.
I hurried to get out of the house and as I sat in my car, I asked myself why I was coming back.
My father is lying to me, something is going wrong here. But that was only one of the problems I had to solve.
I have to get rid of Yong next.
I reached for my phone as just then Jimin called.
"Hi!" I said as I picked up.
"Aein, thank God! I've been trying to reach you for two days. "
"Jimin I..!"
"Is everything okay?"
"I don't know?" I sighed, looking at my father's house.
"Are you okay?Where are you?"
"Daegu!"
"What were you doing in Daegu?"
"A mistake!"
