Smoking Out The Window 2

featuring Oaktree and Walid as your brother from another mother

trigger warning: parties, drinking, smoking, fighting

Y/N was on the phone with her brother Walid. Her warm face covered most of the screen, "I said no."

In frustration, Walid ran a hand through his dark curly hair, "Y/N, please? It's my birthday. I want my sister there."

Y/N sighed, "I'm not your sister-"

He cut her off, "Don't finish that sentence. Just because you hate my mans doesn't mean you have the right to hate me."

Y/N stared off her balcony looking at the tourists below, "I could never hate you Wadz."

"Then come to my party. I want to see you. I haven't seen you since you left London. Where are you now?"

Y/N almost smiled at his nosy behavior, "Somewhere where they speak Spanish."

Walid rolled his eyes, "I'm sending you a first-class ticket. Be there or I'm coming to find you."

Y/N was left with a blank screen as her brother hung up. Sucking her teeth she began packing her bags. It was his birthday weekend and she wouldn't let him down. She skipped over packing her weed, in case she had a run-in with Oakley.

...

Y/N pulled on her tight dress as she walked into the venue. The club, Starlight, was bought out for the night. All of Walid's closest friends stood on the dancefloor and bombarded the bar. Y/N felt nervous.

Being back in the UK for the first time in five years felt like a trap. Some future song played as she sauntered inside. Her mouth watered for something to ease her discomfort. People smiled and spoke to her.

She held onto Walid's gift as she looked for him in the VIP section. Y/N smiled when he noticed her. He was dressed in a simple tee and jeans. His flashy chains caught her attention along with his cornrows.

"I could've done your funky ass head, Walid," Y/N whispered making him smile.

She could remember the first time he asked her to do his hair. They were fourteen and Y/N had just gotten her hair done and he wanted cornrows to match. Y/N always thought Walid was corny but he just loved her like a sister.

Walid swallowed her into a bone-crushing hug. The hired photographers decided to invade their space capturing their sibling moment. "You really came. I'm happy to see you."

Y/N smiled genuinely, "Of course. You called and I came."

She held up a box with a red bow. Walid took the box and shook it. He laughed when Y/N slapped his arm, "You're gonna break it."

Walid opened the box revealing a new chain. The centerpiece was an iced-out drawing of their hands. Their signature growing up was pinky swears. Y/N thought it would be nice to reminisce for a minute.

"Don't cry, big guy." Y/N teased him before he pushed her.

The two laughed over the music before she noticed her old friends. She left Walid to mingle. Her friends squealed giving her a big hug. Y/N had only a few friends: Nella and Marcia, Walid's fiance. Despite her fleeing the country they always found a way to stay in touch with her.

"I'm glad you came! Marcia's been waiting to tell you something." Nella shouted over the loud music.

Y/N nodded noticing Marcia's glass was filled with water, "You're not drinking?"

The girl smiled and rubbed her belly, "I can't."

Y/N felt her eyes water, "No fucking way! I'm gonna be an auntie."

Sprinter played through the speakers and she knew he was in the building. Cench watched her from afar focusing his attention on her body instead of the rapping crowd. His jaw twitched when he noticed her deep-cut dress.

It showcased her back, a new spine tattoo made his mouth water. She still had her shoulder tattoo, the sun and the moon and stars as he liked to call it. Cench turned to Walid who was busy downing shots, "Why didn't you tell me she was coming?"

Walid shrugged, "Does it matter?"

Oakley scoffed and downed another shot of tequila. He wiped his mouth and walked over to Y/N. He had his target in sight and he wasn't about to lose her. Y/N jumped when he grabbed her arm.

"What?" Y/N asked as the club lights flashed around them.

Oakley moved closer to her body, "I thought I'd never see you again."

Y/N cast him a wicked smile, "I think it was the other way around."

Oakley shook his head, "Man fuck off."

"You came over here!" Y/N was starting to get angry.

No one really knew why the two of them had broken up years ago. Without another word, he pushed past her towards the exit. Rolling her eyes, Y/N followed him. She dead him once and for all.

"Oakley, wait!" She shouted as he rounded the corner.

She huffed feeling her feet swell in her heels. Y/N rubbed her hands over her arms feeling goosebumps arise. Oakley stood against the cold brick wall lighting up a joint. She shivered standing next to him.

"What's this really about?" Y/N questioned as he blew smoke from his mouth.

"My bad. You're overwhelming you know?"

Y/N laughed, "I tried to save you the trouble of seeing me tonight."

He flicked the ash from the bottom, "I was always going to find you."

She jumped when he kissed her cheek. Heat fanned from her face when he kissed her again. His brown eyes searched hers for permission. She kissed him back clutching his shirt in her cold hands.

His joint dropped to the floor losing its fire. Oakley pulled back to smile, "Are we good now?"

Y/N pecked his lips once more and hugged his frame inhaling his scent, "Yeah."
