Y/N rushed into the pizza shop. She was late for a date, or was it really a date? She couldn't tell. All she knew was that she was supposed to meet Oakley. The boy that her friend set her up on a blind date with.

The smell of greasy pizza and fries filled her nose as she looked around the establishment. Y/N didn't know what he looked like. All her friend told her was that Cench was "somewhat tall with killer curls."

She smiled when she noticed him. Her friend was kind of right. He was scanning the menu when she approached the booth, "Hey! Are you Oakley?"

The man smiled back making her heart hump, "Y/N?"

She scooted into the red booth seat, "Sorry I'm late. There was so much traffic."

He laughed placing the menu down on the brown wooden table, "It's nice to meet you darlin'."

Y/N blushed pushing her glasses further up her face. She looked around the busy restaurant, "Have you been here before?"

Oakley nodded, "They got some cool stuff."

Y/N sent him a sincere smile, "My friend was right, you're cute."

It was his turn to blush now. Oakley brought the menu up to cover his face and laugh. Y/N giggled at his actions as he spoke, "Your friend was right about you."

Y/N placed her finger on the personal cheese pizza menu item as she spoke, "And what did she say?"

Oakley was looking at her this time, "She said you're bold."

Y/N grinned, "What do you suggest?"

Oakley took the menu from her hands, "Pepperoni is good."

Y/N grimaced, "Nah, I think I'm just gonna get bacon and cheese."

"Bacon?"

Y/N shrugged, "If you're on that no pork thing, you know pepperoni is pork and beef right?"

The waiter came over with a notepad disturbing their conversation about which topping was better, "Hi! What can I get for y'all today?"

Oakley looked to Y/N, "Ladies first."

"I'll take the personal cheese pizza with bacon added, please. And water too. " Y/N folded her menu and placed it in the holder on the table.

"And for you sir?"

Oakley was still unsure, "I'll just do a personal pepperoni please with a Sprite."

The waiter left them alone to go put in their orders. Y/N leaned closer to him as he sat across the table. "So pepperoni is better than cheese?"

He matched her energy by leaning forward and tapping her hand, "Cheese is boring."

She scoffed, "I added bacon."

They both laughed enjoying the banter. Y/N was surprised at how fast the food came. Sizzling pizza was placed on their table along with their cold drinks. She took the plastic silverware from the table and began cutting up her slice.

Oakley furrowed his eyebrows and pushed his curly hair from his face, "What are you doing?"

"How else am I supposed to keep my nails clean?" She flashed her nude nails trying to avoid getting yellow grease stains on them.

He shook his head, "You are something else."

Y/N held eye contact with him ignoring the steam from her food. Neither broke eye contact. Time seemed to stop as they felt each other's energy. A famous pop song played through the speakers engulfing them in their little bubble.

Oakley was the first to break eye contact by snagging a piece of her pizza, "Let me try it."

She took a moment of silence to see what he'd say about it, "Okay the bacon is better."

Y/N picked up her fork and began to dig in, "I like you already."

She had a feeling this would be her best date ever.
