The scene changed to Kage and Raijin who finished with their QnA stream, the duo high fived.

Kage: Yo dude, nice stream with ya.
Raijin: Thanks, I enjoyed it as well. I actually blew off some fucking steam.

He then cracked his neck by the sides and stretched his shoulders.

Raijin: Hey, what time is it?

Kage checked his phone.

Kage: Around midnight.
Raijin: Damn I got a valorant stream coming up in 6 hours, I need some sleep rn. I'll see you around.
Kage: Ok cya, I'll go to bed too.

Raijin left the room as he was feeling tired and yawned.

Raijin: Before I head to bed, I need some water...

As he went to the kitchen, he heard footsteps behind him which prompted the thunder god to stop and let out a tired sigh.

Raijin: Kage, I know it's you. Stop pestering, I'm sleepy and thirsty.

He continued to walk but he heard the footsteps again.

Raijin grit his teeth and turned around to see no one.

He looked up at the ceiliing to spot Kage because that's how he usually walks somewhere, but Kage wasn't there either.

Raijin: Weird... He usually trolls me on the ceiliing but he ain't there.

Raijin made a quick scan on all sides before shrugging and left for the kitchen.

Upon making it to to the door, he made sure to open the door very quietly not to wake anyone up before closing it.

He went to grab a glass and began filling it with water.

Raijin: *Humming*

What he didn't notice the Kitchen door was slowly opened by someone else.

The figure approached Raijin slowly ame quietly.

Raijin slowly opened his eyes and noticed a shadow behind him.

This prompted his eyes to glow yellow while magically wishing for his spear to appear.

He turned around making an angry battlecry, ready to beat the crap out of the person he thought that was trolling him.

Raijin then stopped as he got a good look of who it was.

Raijin's eyes stopped glowing and he lowered his spear.

Raijin: Mumei?

Mumei was like a little child when she saw how Raijin would react.

Mumei: Sorry if I scared you Raijin...
Raijin: No you didn't scare me, you just made me a bit angry cause I thought you were Kage who was messing with me.

He noticed that she was holding a book.

Raijin: Why are you holding that book?
Mumei: I wanted someone to keep me company before going to sleep, the others are asleep but I saw that you weren't.

She then offered the book to Raijin.

Mumei: Will you go with me to my room and read me a bedtime story before going to sleep?

Raijin started taking a sip from his glass before answering to her.

Raijin: No. I need sleep too after that stream with Kage.

He walked passed her.

He then felt something on his right arm and turned to see Mumei tugging him.

Mumei: Please, I'm scared of the dark...
Raijin: You're literally an owl, you're used to be in the dark plus they're nocturnal birds.
Mumei: I know but I'm civilization remember, I'm trying to adapt to the humans' ways.
Raijin: And you think that a god of thunder and manipulator of weather would actually care for civilization?
Mumei: Please....?
Raijin: No.

He lightly shoved her away before going to the door and opened it and left.

The guardian of civilization followed him in the hallway.

Mumei: Please, just this once-
Raijin: No.
Mumei: I'll make you breakfast everyday.
Raijin: Not necessary, I can do it myself.
Mumei: I'll clean all your chores.
Raijin: Not needed. I don't need that from women because I am capable of accomplishing it on my own
Mumei: I'll take care of you when you're sick in the future.
Raijin: I rarely get sick, plus vaccines exist.

Mumei ran up to him.

Mumei: I'll keep you safe from all sorts of dangers.
Raijin: I can control lightning, wind, earthquakes, volcanoes and everything that's a natural disaster and you're telling me that you wanna keep me safe?

He retorted.

Raijin: What are you gonna do when you are face to face with let's say a bear? Will you turn into an owl and fly off like a pussy? That's more likeley since most of you women would flee and let us men do all the work in defending you whether if it risks our life or not, you wouldn't even care if we died in the process.

Mumei stopped.

Mumei: Why are you so harsh towards me and the others?

Raijin stopped and was silent.

Mumei: You're always on good terms with Kage, but never with us.

Raijin just listened to what she had to say.

Mumei: What did me and the other girls do to you to make you so angry? Did we do something bad? Can we fix it and let it be your way if you want?

Raijin sighed.

Raijin: Leave me alone...

He left her, Mumei was silent.

Raijin approached his room door and opened it and closed it upon entering.

He then banged the wall out of frustration and huffed.

Raijin: Keep it together Raijin... It's just one girl... What's the worst she can do to you...?

He then placed his hands on the back of his head.

He then took a look from his door's keyhole and saw Mumei approaching his door but not to knock, but to side on the side as if she was waiting for Raijin.

He sighed.

Raijin: She'll eventually leave you alone and go to her room, it only takes time so be patient...

He then changed to his pajamas and was lying on his bed, but couldn't sleep.

He tried every bed position as possible so he can fall asleep, but he couldn't.

Minutes passed as he didn't even blink and stared at his room's ceiling

Raijin sighed.

Raijin: Why can't I sleep? What's keeping me awake.

He then thought of Mumei, it was like regret was eating him from the inside after he denied her many times to keep her company.

Raijin felt bad for her, after all he acted like a douchebag to her and left her for dead.

Raijin sighed and got up and approached his door.

Upon opening he saw Mumei still sitting on the side of his entrance, waiting for him.

She turned around to see him.

Mumei: You came back for me.
Raijin: I did... Not that I wanted to... But I felt bad for leaving you out.

He then moved aside.

Raijin: Come on, you can share my room for the night.

Mumei smiled and got up.

Mumei: Arigato!

She entered and Raijin closed the door.

Mumei sat on the side of his bed and Raijin crossed his arms.

Raijin: Where are your pajamas?
Mumei: Actually I'll sleep like this.

Raijin didn't want that.

Raijin: No.

He then went to a cupboard and pulled out another pair of pajamas for Mumei.

Raijin: Here.

He handed her the pajamas.

Raijin then turned around.

Raijin: I'll look on the other side while you change.
Mumei: Ok.

It took her for a minute to change.

Mumei: Done.

Raijin turned around and saw that the pajamas actually fit Mumei and made her a bit cute.

Raijin lightly blushed.

Raijin: Good, now let's head to bed.

Mumei then pulled out her book.

Mumei: Will you read me a bedtime story?
Raijin: Aren't you too old for this?
Mumei: Yeah, but it helps me sleep.

Raijin knew that there was no use arguing with her and gave in.

Raijin: Fine, give me the book and lie down.

He took the book and they both lied on the bed.

Raijin looked at Mumei who was all ears as she was waiting for him to start.

Raijin: Once upon a time...

"A few moments later"

Raijin: After the dwarfs defeated the Evil Witch, Snow White and Prince Charming eventually got married and they lived hapilly ever after...

He then looked at Mumei who was asleep thanks to him.

Raijin put the book down and looked at Mumei once more.

Raijin: She's asleep...

He yawned and then looked at his door to see if anyone is peeking.

He then rested his head on the pillow and slowly but closed his eyes.

The two were alseep peacefully.
