𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗶𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗻; the summer break
"creatures of the night"
LIAM WAS CURRENTLY CHAINED ON a tree, while Scott and Stiles were by his jeep, talking about the future after they finish school, and head off to college. It was a full moon, and they didn't trust the teenage boy enough due to the last full moon, where he was caught running through the neighbourhood, completely naked. "Think it's been long enough?" Stiles asked Scott, after listening to the thunder rumble again, indicating that a huge storm was on its way.
Liam groaned in annoyance as listened to the boys talk in the background, "Yes!" He shouted at them, gaining the attention of the two seniors, who rolled their eyes at Liam's words, knowing that it probably wasn't long enough..
"Hey. Trying to have an adult conversation over here." Stiles told Liam, turning around and narrowing his eyes at the boy who was stuck on the tree. To say that Stiles didn't exactly like the boy, after he had found out that his sister and him had started dating - he didn't like Liam. At all.
Liam rolled his eyes at Stiles, "All right, you're two years older than me, and I'm fine. Just let me go." He begged Scott and Stiles, just wanting to get off of this tree and go see Cassie, the reason as to why he didn't shift every full moon and go on a killing spree. Scott and Stiles didn't know that, however, and he didn't exactly want another lecture from Stiles about his sister and treating her right. Liam technically wasn't allowed to see Cassie on a full moon, due to his anger issues making it dangerous for the girl, but he always managed to sneak into her room late at night, after thinking about her and not shifting because of her..
"It's not that we don't trust you..." Scott said, only to be interrupted by Stiles, who held his hand up to stop the boy from talking.
"It's that I don't trust you." Stiles told him, keeping it real.
"But after that last full moon..." Scott trailed off, thinking back to the night where Liam had been caught running through the neighbourhood naked, with nothing on.
"It was one slip-up!" Liam complained, annoyed that the two boys brought that up at every full moon, or, whenever they had the chance - they just couldn't let it to.
"A slip-up? A dozen calls to the Sheriff's department about a monstrous dog boy running around the streets of Beacon Hills, naked? That's a slip up?" Stiles asked, exasperatedly, unsure as to how Liam could be so casual about the whole thing. He could have been put in jail for it..
Scott looked at Liam confusingly, remembering that night, "Why were you naked?" He asked, having never himself, ran around the neighbourhood naked on a full moon before.
"It was really hot out that night, okay?" Liam said, sheepishly, knowing the reason he was naked because he was with Cassie that night, after sneaking into her room without Scott of Stiles knowing. If they did know, Lima definitely would never see daylight again, or Cassie.
Ever since Stiles and Scott had caught Cassie and Liam in her room a few weeks ago, before the whole naked incident, Stiles has been nothing but difficult with him. He figured out that he didn't like him with his sister - hell, who would?

The summer break was going amazing for Cassie, it was one of the best breaks she has ever had. She and Liam were great in their relationship, they spent almost everyday together, and when they weren't, she would be with Mason or with Ellie and her new girlfriend, Hayden, who will be starting as a new student at their school this year. Her brother and Scott still don't know about Cassie and Liam's relationship, which is surprising, as Scott is a werewolf, he should have figured it out by now. But knowing the kind of person Scott is, it didn't surprise her all that much.
They have also had a few months of nothing trying to kill them, so all was going well. Cassie just hoped that this would keep up, and the new school year would be just as good as the summer - if they didn't have anything or anyone try to kill them, it would be a successful year in the girls opinion.
It was currently a Friday night, and Cassie and Liam were making out in her room as her house was empty, and Noah or Stiles weren't currently home. Liam had stripped off his shirt whilst Cassie took off hers, and the two of them had lowered themselves onto her bed, their lips not growing apart as they did so. Every time they had tried to have a nice night with just the two of them, something always got in the way, but tonight, they were both hoping that nothing would interrupt them.
Their wishes went unanswered, when Liam heard someone pull up and come into the house with his heightened hearing. Cassie quickly rushed up, grabbing her shirt, before she pushed Liam into her closet and shut the door, forgetting to give him his shirt, so he was hidden from sight in case her dad walked in, as Liam hadn't heard exactly who was outside.. She ran back to her bed to lie down after she shrugged back on her shirt, as if nothing was just happening with her and Liam. She had to hide the fact that she was flushed from kissing him, and she got on her stomach and lied done, and pulling out her phone to scroll down social media, hoping that whoever came home wouldn't walk in, or if they did, they wouldn't suspect anything.
Her wish wasn't granted as her door opened and in walked Stiles. She instantly put on a fake smile and greeted her brother, "Hey, what's up." She greeted, sitting up on her bed.
"Hey, we're picking up some food, if you wanted some." Stiles told her, not noticing that Liam was currently hiding in Cassie's closet, he hadn't even looked in that direction, and if he was a werewolf, he probably would have heard her heart beating erratically.
"Ooh, yeah that would be good, thanks." She told him excitedly, as she loved food and was starving.
As she said that, Scott had walked in, holding some cash in his hand from having gotten it from Stiles' room, and Cassie's eyes immediately widened at Scott's appearance, he would no doubt, be able to smell Liam, or hear hers and his heartbeat.
Cassie quickly covered it up and looked like she wasn't bothered at his entrance. "Hey, Scott." She mumbled, looking back down at her phone.
"Who else is in here?" Scott asked, causing Cassie to look up quickly with panic, her heart now feeling like it was going to pop out of her chest at his words. He was definitely going to suspect something, and Stiles would find out about her and Liam if Scott said anything - she was wishing he would just brush it past him..
"No one." Cassie answered, too quickly as she sat up.
Stiles narrowed his eyes at his little sister as Scott looked around her room, "I hear another heartbeat." Scott stated in suspicion.
Cassie sat up straight once she saw Scott move around her room as if he was a detective. "You must be hearing things." Cassie laughed awkwardly, scratching the back of her neck. When he saw Liam's top from the side of her bed on the floor, she groaned, knowing that she had been caught.
Stiles kept his eyes narrowed on his sister as Scott carried on searching for the extra heartbeat. The closer he moved to the closet, the sweatier Cassie's palms became, not wanting Stiles or Scott to find out about her and Liam.
Suddenly, Scott pulled the closet door open, causing a topless Liam to fall out and land on the floor with a loud thud. Cassie jumped up in surprise, "Liam, what are you doing here?" She asked, trying to act like she didn't know he was there.
All three boys turned around and looked at her incredulously, causing her to sigh and look up at the ceiling in frustration.
"Really, Cass, Liam?" Stiles asked her, later on in the night, throwing his hands around in exasperation. He was not happy that he and Scott had found Liam in Cassie's room, especially that he was topless, it made him feel gross that his little sister was up to something like that, and he didn't even want to think about it, wanting to puke when he did.
Cassie honestly didn't know what to say to him; she liked Liam, and that was that, so if she wanted to be with someone, then she would. "What's wrong with Liam? I thought you liked him?" She asked her brother, watching as he paced around their living room, running his hands through his hair in stress, having not had to deal with any of his sisters flings before, as she hadn't had any werewolf ones..
"Liked him?" Stiles asked her, pausing to stare her down, causing her to shrink in her spot on the sofa, "I definitely do not like him now." He snapped at her.
Cassie glared up at him after his words, "You've never acted this way with any other of my boyfriends." She stated, crossing her arms across her chest in frustration.
Stiles's eyes widened at her words, "Other boyfriends? You've had more than one?" He asked, causing Cassie to wince at the information she had just revealed to him. "Wait, boyfriend? Liam's your boyfriend?" He asked her, having just realised what she had said to him.
Cassie had never really thought about it like that, they had never made it official, but after six months, they've both just kind of silently declared their status. "No, no, no, no." Stiles muttered, pacing around again, "No way are you dating Liam. Not under my roof." He said.
"Your roof?" Cassie scoffed at him, "Last time I checked, this was dad's house." She said.
"Do you want dad to find out about your boyfriends?" Stiles retorted.
Cassie stood up, "You dare." She warned, glaring at him.
"Try me." He retorted.
Cassie raised an eyebrow at him, "I have a lot more on you than you do with me." She warned him, causing him to furrow his eyebrows in confusion. "If you say anything to dad, I will tell him, everything." She threatened, knowing that what he had done is much worse than her..
And with that, she smiled sweetly at him, and waltzed back to her room, practically skipping at the fact she had won.

Cassie was currently sitting in Ellie's room, with Ellie's new girlfriend, Hayden, who Cassie had got on really well with throughout the summer break. They were gossiping over what had happened over the holidays, as school was starting tomorrow and they needed to be updated before they went back. "I heard that Michael and Alexandra are now a thing." Ellie said, while munching on some popcorn as the TV played some random TV show in the background that they weren't listening to.
"No way." Cassie gasped in disbelief, loving the small bit of gossip Ellie had gifted them with..
"Uh-Huh." Ellie mumbled, with a mouthful of popcorn, looking smug with herself that she had gotten some of the gossip. After all, it's what she's known to do.
"I still don't know who any of these people are." Hayden mumbled, as she hadn't even been to school yet, she hasn't met anyone new besides Ellie and Cassie, who she loved already.
"You will, babe." Ellie told her with a sweet smile, "Don't worry." She said, giving her a peck on her cheek.
Cassie couldn't help but smile at the two of them, she was happy that Ellie was finally happy, with a nice person like Hayden. They were good for each other. Hayden hadn't met Liam or Mason yet, but when they do meet, Cassie was really excited for that moment, as she was sure that they would all get along. She wanted to try and set Mason up with a boyfriend, so that they could all go tripple dating; if that was even a thing.
She had a good feeling about this year; it was her brothers and Scott's last year, and the rest of their friends, meaning that they would be going off to college soon anc this would be their last year all together. Cassie will miss them greatly, she sees them everyday anyway, so it will be weird to wake up one day and not see them around all the time. Or see Stiles butting his nose into her business.
Cassie was, for the first time in months, living a life where people weren't trying to kill her or her friends, or having lies spat at her left right and centre, and it felt good. Ever since finding out about the supernatural, every day seemed like a struggle, wondering who would try and kill them that day, or what other supernatural creature would be lurking in the shadows. But right now, there's been nothing, and it felt safe, it felt good to feel safe, and she could tell all the others felt great, too, because of it.
Cassie had a boyfriend, a new friend, and they were all starting a new year at school. Nothing could ruin her mood.
"When the day comes, I will point out every single person to you and tell you their life story." Ellie told Hayden.
Hayden smiled up at Ellie, "Wow, so romantic." She joked, causing Ellie and Cassie to laugh at her words.
"Nothing really goes on at our school." Ellie told her, "You'll be fine." She turned to Cassie, "Won't she, Cass?" She asked her best friend.
Cassie nodded at Ellie, "Uh-Huh." She confirmed, "Our school is really boring." She said. I wish. Cassie thought.
Cassie started to paint her nails black with Ellie's nail polish, when the storm picked up outside. "Damn, storms big tonight." Cassie commented, keeping her attention on her nails, "Thank god we don't have a senior scribe to go to. I wouldn't want to be in that." She voiced out.
"Mmm." Ellie and Hayden agreed, their eyes glued on the TV as they were actually watching it. Cassie had never been a fan of TV shows, she was more of a movie person..
All of their attention was taken away from the TV, and in Cassie's case, her nails, when a large lightening strike, struck in the middle of the road, right outside of Ellie's house, causing all three girls to jump up in shock.
"Oh my god." Cassie gasped, putting her hand on her heart, she then looked at her hand that she was painting, that now had smudged nail varnish on, "Agh, for god's sake, I smudged my nails." She complained, earning an eye roll from her friends.
Her phone dinged not shortly after that, revealing a text from Liam. 'Your brother hates me.' He text, causing Cassie to chuckle down at her phone.
'He doesn't hate you. He just... Doesn't understand you.' She text back. She knew that Stiles didn't hate Liam, he just didn't like him dating her. There was a huge different between the two - if Liam wasn't dating Cassie, Stiles would probably love him..
'Sure.' Liam text back.
She wondered how Liam was doing tonight, due to the fact that there was a full moon, and he never did too well with them unless he was with her. He nearly got arrested last month, due to running around naked in the middle of the night in her neighbour, and if it wasn't for her dad putting in a good word for the boy, he would have had community service; it's not the first impression that Cassie would have wanted on her boyfriend, so when she tells her dad about Liam, all he will think is how he ran around naked that one night.
"I am not walking home in this." Cassie complained, as she looked out of the window at the rain pouring down, "Can't you drive me?" She asked Ellie, with a pleading look.
Ellie looked at her apologetically, "My car doors being fixed, won't be back till next week." She told her apologetically.
"How did you even manage to break your door?" Hayden asked, laughing.
Ellie shrugged, "I didn't realise how close I was parked to the curb." She told them, like it was no big deal.
"Idiot." Cassie said, laughing. She then pulled on her coat, knowing she had to get home before her dad did, "Okay, well I'll see you guys tomorrow, wish me luck in the rain." She said,.
"Good luck." They both shouted, as she left Ellie's room, dreading the walk home.
As she approached her driveway after jogging home, she noticed Stiles and Malia pull in the second she jogged up to the house, in his jeep, causing her to groan out in frustration, she thought they'd be back much later, hence why she walked home, she would have waited, otherwise.
"Are you kidding me?" Cassie shouted at them through the harsh rain, as they jumped out of the car, "If I knew that you guys were gonna he back so early, I would have rang you for a lift." She told them as she followed them into the house. She was drenched in water as if she had just taken a shower, she felt awful.
Stiles laughed at her, "Sorry." He said, "But that's funny." He admitted, looking at how drenched she was in the water.
Cassie glared at him, "Is not." She said, following the two into the house, "Anyway, how was the senior scribe?" She asked, as she pulled her coat off and shook it dry.
"Liam didn't tell you?" Stiles asked.
"Tell me what?" Cassie asked.
"Some other supernatural creature nearly killed Scott tonight." Stiles told her, making her eyes widen, "It was like he was a werewolf, but with more features." He said, "If that makes sense." He added, furrowing his brows.
Cassie sighed, "It's happening again, isn't it?" She asked him.
"I think so." He said.
Great. She thought, Just when I thought this year would be good.
