CASSIE WOKE UP WITH A loud gasp, springing upright in her bed, as she heard a loud bang against her window, waking her up from her deep sleep. Instantly, the girl reached over and turned on her bedside lamp to get a better view at what was outside of her window, when she got up and slumped over to the window, she found that there was nothing even there.. At first, she thought it could be Liam, but he never showed up at her house at this time of night, especially because Stiles and Noah were home - he knew that the two men would murder him.
Cassie looked over at the clock, rubbing her eyes so the blurs went away, and she saw that it was 3:03AM in the morning, causing her to groan in annoyance and tie her hair up with the hairband on her bedside table, so that her hair wasn't in her face. She still felt like she was asleep, due to being woken up so suddenly, and wished that she was still in bed.

Sighing, she sleepily made her way out of her room and down her stairs, quietly, ensuring not to wake Stiles or Noah, the girl not needing to turn the main light on due to the fact that her surroundings were illuminated by the moon outside, allowing her to see where she was going. Once she made her way into the kitchen, she instantly opened the fridge and made herself a glass of cold milk to drink, or down, due to how thirsty she currently was.
As the girl did so, she then stood in the kitchen for a minute, taking in her surroundings, needing to remind herself that she's safe, and no one is in her house that could hurt her. Her dad was a cop, and no one would dare enter her house without their permission, they would be stupid to even try. Cassie had to keep reminding herself that Garrett wasn't outside to kill her, or any other supernatural creatures, like the berserker.. She was safe.

When Cassie turned around in her spot in order to return to her room and go back to sleep for school tomorrow, she suddenly saw something in the window. Squinting her eyes to get a better look at it, she saw... A mask?
Cassie put her glass down onto the counter so she could move towards the window and get a better look at what she thought she had seen. She must be hallucinating from lack of sleep and being woken up so suddenly, and from still being half asleep, why would a masked man be outside of their kitchen window, looking in? Surely this wasn't real..

Suddenly, there was a shatter behind the girl, causing her to shriek in surprise and spin around to look what had happened, only to see nothing there except for her shattered glass on the floor, with milk around it, causing a puddle to start forming on the floor. Knowing that she had her back to the window, she quickly turned back to face the window, only to find out that the mask had now disappeared; well, she wasn't even sure if it was a mask, it was so dark. But she was sure that she saw something, something big, wearing some weird gas mask - it was something she could only imagine in her nightmares, and it terrified her. She was glad that it was now gone..

Cassie sighed in relief when she looked at her surroundings and noticed that no one was around her, thinking that it was just in her head, and that she was clearly imaging things. She began to pick up the pieces of glass on the floor, placing them back on the counter from where it had first fallen, not wanting to just leave it there. She was careful not to tread in it so she wouldn't cut her feet; as that would be annoying.
As she was doing so, the light suddenly turned on and her dad appeared in front of her, with a shotgun, with Stiles close behind him, holding a baseball bat in his hands, raising it up as he thought there was an intruder in his house. Being woken up by Cassie screaming wasn't exactly how he wanted  to start his day off.

Cassie screamed loudly and dropped the pieces of glass that she had in her hand, from picking them up, which then scattered onto the floor again. "Dad! What the hell?!" She shouted at Noah, placing a hand over her heart which was beating erratically, breathing heavily as she did so, "Are you trying to give me a heart attack?" She asked, annoyed that he would make her jump with a shotgun in her face.

"We heard you scream?" Her dad asked her, pointing his gun around the room and standing in a defensive position, worried that someone could be in their house. Why would his daughter scream the whole house awake if there was nobody even here? It didn't make sense. He just woke up, grabbed his shotgun, met Stiles in the hallway and they both instantly came down to find out why Cassie had screamed in the first place..

"I saw a bird." Cassie quickly lied to them, not wanting them to think she was crazy for what she thought she saw in the window, "It made me jump." She told them. Cassie didn't want to worry the two of them with her daydreaming, she knew that she must have been imagining it, as there just wouldn't be a masked man in her widow.. If she did mention anything, her dad and brother would go to the ends of the earth to find out what was wrong with her - and she didn't want to waste their time with something so stupid, like a masked figure..

"A bird?" Stiles asked her in disbelief, annoyed that he had woken up from that. He had really thought that she was in danger and came sprinting down the stairs behind his dad in order to protect Cassie from an intruder..

"Uh-Huh." Cassie quickly confirmed, nodding her head erratically, "A bird." She repeated herself, trying to make it believable.

Stiles rolled his eyes at his sisters antics and decided to walk back to his room to get some sleep, taking his baseball bat with him, leaving Cassie and her dad in the kitchen, alone. Cassie lightly sighed in relief that Stiles hadn't asked her any questions about the bird, or her dad, meaning that she didn't have to lie any more to the two of them at what happened.
Noah looked at the mess on the floor with a longing look, "Go back to bed, I'll clean this up." He told her, putting his gun down on the counter, making sure to put the safety on first. He wanted Cassie to get some sleep, as she looked sleep deprived, he was fine with cleaning up..

"No, I don't mind..." Cassie protested, not wanting her dad to clean up the mess that she had created, she was perfectly fine to do so, only her dad hushed her before she could volunteer to clean up after herself.

"It's fine, you look tired." Her dad told her, insisting to clean up for her. "Go on." He said, as he pushed her towards the stairs so she could go back to bed, "You have school tomorrow." Noah said.

Cassie sighed, instantly feeling bad that her dad had offered to clean up the mess she had made, "Thanks, dad." She told him, before slouching up the stairs and getting back into bed. She had decided that due to her freaking out over her window, she imagined something that wasn't even there, and she was just really tired tonight.
Well.. She hoped.

"So I turn around, and there he is. With a shotgun in my face." Cassie said to Ellie, as the two girls walked down the hallway of the school. Cassie was currently telling Ellie the story of the night before, when Cassie almost had a heart attack at her dad and brother coming down the stairs after she dropped her glass of milk, "I nearly died of a heart attack." She told the girl, rolling her eyes at the fact Ellie was laughing at her story about what happened.
Ellie was still laughing at Cassie's story after she had finished explaining, causing Cassie to scowl at her friend. "It's not funny!" Cassie exclaimed, slapping Ellie's arm in annoyance. "It was really scary." She complained.

"It's kind of funny." Ellie told her, having never heard something like that before. Trust Cassie to always make this girl laugh, "I have to go and meet Hayden before her first lesson, I'll see you later?" She then asked, coming to a corner, the way that Hayden was currently waiting for her girlfriend to walk her to her first lesson.

"Yeah, I'll see you at lunch." Cassie called, as Ellie walked away from her to find her girlfriend. When she walked further into the school, she noticed Mason and Liam walking together a while in front of her, with Mason holding some sort of book in front of him, reading it, whereas Liam looked bored with the situation at hand, not looking at Mason.
Cassie smiled at the sight of them and instantly waltzed up to the two of them, wrapping her arms around Liam from the behind, having not seen him for a few days, she missed him terribly. During the summer break, they spent almost everyday together, and they weren't used to not seeing each other for this long.. "Hey." She muttered into his shoulder, smiling at the comforting smell of his cologne and just genuine smell..

Liam instantly spun her around when he knew it was Cassie, and pulled her in for a long kiss, also having missed her company from the past few days. They were in their moment, when Mason butted in, interrupting the two of them and their kiss, as they broke apart with a sour look on their face. Mason has had to put up with the two love birds being all over each other during the summer break, and he didn't want to deal with it at school, too, "Cassie, have you ever seen anything like this?" Mason asked the girl, shoving the book in her face, causing her to break away from Liam's hold, frowning at the book in front of her face.

When Cassie looked down at the book, she instantly recognised it as the berserker, the exact creature that had trapped herself, Mason and Lydia in the school basement a while back - meaning that Mason must be looking at information on the attack that happened a few months ago, wanting answers as Liam hadn't told him anything.
"Umm." Cassie mumbled, pretending to think about what was in front of her, "No, no I haven't." She eventually confirmed, before handing Mason back his book.

Liam still didn't want Mason to know about the supernatural and the fact that he was a werewolf, no matter how many times that Scott, Stiles and Cassie had suggested that he should tell the boy, after all, it was his best friend. Cassie knew first hand, what it felt like to be lied to and it wasn't a good feeling, so she hated that she had to lie to Mason about it, now. Liam pulled Cassie away from Mason after she spoke, and they all began to walk towards their first lesson as Mason rambled on about his findings, following closely behind the two of them, "And there's this whole section about the Nagual," Mason continued, as they eventually stopped by the doorway of their classroom, Liam still having his arm over Cassie as they paused, "Have you ever heard of Tezcat Tezc... Tecz..." Mason stuttered, unable to say the name as he read it out.

"Tezcat Tezcatlipoca." Liam corrected him. And when Mason looked at Liam with wide eyes, Liam shrugged, "No, no. I never heard of him." He corrected, knowing that Mason was probably going to ask him about it. He didn't care what anyone told him, he didn't want mason knowing anything - he couldn't have his one friend thinking any differently of him, or treating him any differently because of it.

Cassie scoffed at Liam and shrugged out of the boys hold, before taking her seat behind Mason, but when she looked back over at Liam, she noticed that he was frustrated at the girl sitting next to him, not taking his seat as he glared down at her in worry. When Cassie looked closer, she saw that it was Hayden who Liam was looking at strangely, so she gave her a small smile and wave, which Hayden gladly returned. Cassie didn't know Hayden was in her first lesson, or she would have met the girl along with Ellie..
"Swap with me." Liam whispered to Cassie, breaking her out of her thoughts.

Cassie furrowed her brows in confusion at her boyfriend, not knowing what his deal was. "What, why?" She asked him, not knowing why he wouldn't want to sit next to Hayden, she was a great girl.

"Just do it, pl..." Liam began to beg, only to get interrupted by Mr. Yukimura, their teacher, who was frustrated at the fact that Liam hadn't sat down yet, when everyone else in the classroom already had taken their seats.

"Liam." Mr. Yukimura called out, gaining Liam's attention, along with everyone else in the class, "You're not gonna just stand there, are you?" He asked, not knowing why Liam was standing, still.

"Maybe." Liam said, shrugging, looking down at the ground.

"The whole semester?" Mr. Yukimura asked him, in sarcasm.

"Maybe." Liam repeated again, indicating that he wasn't moving.

Mr. Yujimura looked even more frustrated when Liam still didn't move into his seat, "Liam, have a seat." He eventually ordered.

Liam hesitantly took the seat, sitting down, then looked around his surroundings in confusion, before standing up again, slightly, only to reveal some bubble gum stuck to his jeans, prior to Hayden, who was smirking up at Liam with an evil look on her face. Cassie was confused at why Hayden did this, maybe they knew each other before she moved here? She found it funny, none the less, seeing Liam so frustrated and embarrassed, and couldn't keep in her giggles. Cassie smirked over at Mason, then looked back at Liam, who looked annoyed that his girlfriend was laughing at him. She snorted slightly at his annoyed facial expression, earning a glare from Liam and a smirk from Hayden. But, knowing that Liam was probably embarrassed, she quickly covered her giggles into a cough, acting like she never saw anything, before looking forward, paying attention to the lesson..

As soon as Cassie's lessons had ended and it was lunchtime, she saw Ellie in the hallways during their break, and instantly rushed up to her, taking the girl's shoulders in her hands and shaking her. "Dude!" Cassie exclaimed excitedly, "Hayden and Liam know each other!" She revealed.

Ellie looked shocked at this new information, as Hayden has never mentioned any Liam to her since they had first met, but then again, she had never seen Liam until this day, "Really, how?" Ellie asked.

Cassie shrugged at Ellie, eventually taking her hands off of her best friends shoulders and letting them drop to her side, "I don't know, but in history, she put her gum on his seat so he would sit on it and get it stuck to his jeans." Cassie explained, "It was pretty funny." She admitted, feeling bad about laughing at her boyfriend, but she wouldn't help that it made her laugh..

"I'm supposed to be meeting her by her locker." Ellie told the girl grabbing her arm, "Let's go." She said, pulling her along as they speed walked down the hallway to find Hayden.

When they finally arrived at Hayden's locker, they found out that it was continently right next to Liam's and Cassie's. They had overheard the last part of their conversation as they came up to the pair. "I'm not pissed off Liam." Hayden said, shutting her locker and giving him a dirty look, "I'm vengeful." She then turned around to see Ellie and Cassie and smiled at them, completely changing her behaviour as she looked at the two girls. It was like Cassie had never met the girl she had just witnessed, "Hey guys." She said, when Ellie kissed her on the cheek.

As Ellie draped her arm over Cassie's shoulders, the waved at Cassie, before they walked off with their arms around each other. Cassie turned to Liam as they left, who was gawking at the pair with wide eyes, "What are you looking at?" Cassie asked him, waving her hand in front of his face as he seemed to be in some kind of trance.

"Those two are together?" Liam asked in disbelief, having not known that Hayden was into girls. But then again, he hadn't seen her for years.

"Yeah." Cassie told him, in a tone that implies he was stupid, "How do you know Hayden, and why does she hate you?" She then asked, as she unlocked her locker door to grab some books out. She wanted to know what the deal between the two of them was.

"No reason." Liam toke his girlfriend, shrugging, not fully answering her question, basically lying. Cassie could clearly tell he was lying, she just didn't understand why.

"Right." Cassie hummed in annoyance, knowing instantly that he was lying to her, "Why are you lying to me?" She asked, not knowing why he had to lie to her face about how he knew Hayden and why she hated him. Did the two of them have a thing?

"I'm not lying." Liam defended himself, shaking his head, lying even more to her face.

Cassie huffed at him, "Come and talk to me when your ready to tell me the truth." She snapped at the boy, before stalking off in the opposite direction, leaving him with his head rested against the locker in complete frustration.
He didn't want to tell her about Hayden, as he had the most biggest crush on the girl back when they were younger, and he had hurt the girl badly. He just knew that Cassie would take it the wrong way, and he was scared..

Cassie had to make a quick stop at the library, so she could pick up some history books for her first test of the year that was coming up, so that's where she was headed after she snapped at Liam and left him by their lockers. She knew that Liam barely came into the library, as he hated it here, so this was the safest place to be without spotting him and having to talk to him, as that was the last thing she wanted to do. She wasn't going to speak to him until he admitted what he was hiding and told her why he was lying to her face.
It was a short walk there, but when she finally made it there, she was about to go head to the history section, only to be pulled back by Stiles, to his group of friends, who were all gathered around a table, looking annoyed about something.

"What is with you and pulling me away from my tasks all the time?" Cassie complained to him, "I need to get some history books." She told him, giving a slight smile at his friends, before she looked back at Stiles with a glare - he always distracted her when she needed to study, and she didn't appreciate it one bit..

Stiles' friends looked at her with sympathy as he rambled on about the two signatures on the desk, knowing that he was over reacting about Theo, and he didn't need to drag Cassie into this, "Do these look the same to you?" Stiles asked her desperately, showing her the two paper works, ignoring the looks he was receiving from his friends.

Cassie sighed, before she titled her head at the papers to get a better look, peering down at the two signatures. To her, they looked completely different, like someone had forged one a couple of years later, trying to be the same person.
"This one is forged." Cassie told him, pointing to the one on the left, "The garlands don't match and the undulations of the sinuous stroke are completely off." She informed them, earning the group to look at her with wide eyes, as Stiles had said that exact sentence not even five minutes before. It surprised them that she had said the exact same thing, with no hesitation.

"I told you!" Stiles exclaimed to his friends happily, grabbing Cassie's face and kissing her forehead over and over again as she squirmed away from him.

"Can I go now?" Cassie asked, with a disgusted face at what Stiles had just done. He pulled away as she spoke and smiled down at her, loving her in this moment as she had just proved that he wasn't crazy to his friends, who all believed that he was over reacting.

"Yup." Stiles told her, allowing her to finally walk away in order to find her history books.
She always thought this, why does she have such a weird brother?
