"a novel approach"

ELLIE NOW KNEW EVERYTHING ABOUT the supernatural world around them, after Cassie had explained to her about everything once she was dismissed from the hospital after the night at the club. Cassie felt awful that she had to keep it from her best friend for so long, and she should have known due to Stiles keeping it from her the year before and how upset she was - but she just didn't know how to tell her about it all. Stiles had been extremely angry with Cassie for not telling him that she was in trouble when it all first started, and the both of them had absolutely no clue how to tell their dad about what was going on. However, in Cassie's eyes, Stiles had been acting weird since he came home that night, and she didn't know how to explain it - it was like he did something he didn't want anyone knowing about, and he was doing everything he could to hide it.

Cassie sat on the edge of Stiles' bed, while he looked over at his board of everything that had been happening lately, the red string going around the board and attaching itself to pictures and notes. "Like I told Scott, Stiles.. I didn't want to worry any of you about this, I just thought they were nightmares." The girl explained, as he ran his hands through his hair in stress at her words, "I didn't mean for any of this to happen, I swear." She said, frowning.
Even though Cassie knew Stiles was upset with her, she felt as if something more was bugging him, something he didn't want revealed, and she didn't know what that was. When he didn't reply to her straight away, as he only stared at the board in front of him in completely silence, she got up and attempted to touch his shoulder to gain his attention, only, when she did it, he flinched back as if her touch was burning his skin, and he groaned slightly from the pain it brought him. "Sorry!" She apologised quickly, not knowing why he had become so jumpy all of a sudden. Why did he flinch away from her touch like she had burnt him?

When Stiles started to rub his shoulder with a wince on his face, it was when she started to realise that something was wrong with him. However, when she went to say something to her brother about it, his phone began to ring, revealing Scott's name on the screen. "Scott." Stiles spoke into the phone, sounding out of breath as he turned around from Cassie to hide his face from her, so she couldn't see that he was in so much pain.

Cassie furrowed her brows in confusion at his behaviour, as she listened into the conversation with Scott, "Stiles, someone's taking the bodies." He told Stiles, also sounding out of breath as he spoke to him through the phone. Cassie didn't exactly know how she could hear Scott perfectly when she wasn't the one on the phone, but she didn't question it as there was more important matters at hand right now. "Stiles? You there?" Scott asked, as Cassie watched Stiles freeze in his spot, going frigid at the information Scott had given him. Why? Cassie had no idea.

"Yeah.. Umm.." Stiles stuttered, shaking his head to rid his troubled thoughts, knowing he had to hide what he had done from everyone, "Where? What are you talking about?" He then asked, knowing that he couldn't tell Scott or Cassie about Donavan.

"I'm at the animal clinic with Kira. Tracy's body is gone." Cassie heard Scott tell Stiles on the other end of the line. "The lock on the door was broken from the outside. My mom told me Lucas' body is missing from the morgue. They're searching the whole hospital for it. Someone's stealing the bodies." He informed them, sounding panicked as none of them knew what exactly was going on right now - it was like everything was happening at once, and it was completely overwhelming.

It was then, did Stiles and Scott hang up their phones, and Cassie was surprised when her brother pulled her in for a tight hug, holding her tightly. She grunted from the unexpected action, but nonetheless, hugged him back with a soft smile on her face, having missed her brother a lot. "Don't keep anything like that from me again, okay?" He asked, mumbling into her hair as he closed his eyes whilst hugging her, "If you're in trouble, I have to know, or I can't help you." He said.. Stiles noticed that he was being hypocritical with her, with what he had just done - but there was no way he could just tell his little sister that he killed someone. She'd hate him for the rest of his life, she would never look at him the same way again, and that thought alone, killed him inside.

Cassie nodded into his hold, "No more secrets?" She asked him, pulling away to look up at his face which was tearing up at the fact she had been hurt and he hadn't been there to help her.

Stiles nodded in conformation at her words, "No more secrets." He agreed, smiling down at his sister, hiding the fact that he had the biggest secret. Cassie smiled back and went back in for another hug, wanting nothing than to be with her brother - she just hoped that everything would turn out okay..

Cassie hadn't gone to school the next day around, by orders from her dad, who had Stiles explain the whole situation to him on what had happened to Cassie and what the dread doctors had said about her. It was an understatement, to say that Noah wasn't happy with the both of his children; in fact, he was completely livid that his daughter hadn't come to him for help in her time of need, instead, hiding it and leaving it till the last moment where she had been hurt. What kind of father was he, if his children couldn't come to him when they were in trouble? How was he even supposed to save his daughter from these doctors? He was only a cop with a gun, he didn't have any supernatural powers like rest of the pack did. He felt as if he had failed as a parent, and let his wife down after he had promised he would take care of their two children, putting them before everything else.

Cassie didn't mean to make her dad mad at her, that was the last thing she wanted right now - it's why she kept all of this to herself in the first place, because, now, her father was stressing out about it all, and that's the last thing she wanted him to be, he was already worried about their hospital bills and his job, this was just adding to his stress, and they didn't want that for him. Stiles was the same as his sister, the two of them stayed up late in hopes to think of a plan to save Cassie and keep her away from the doctors, but they didn't know how they could do that if they didn't know much about the mysterious supernatural creatures - it was slowly dawning on them that they didn't have a clue on what to do and how to save her, it terrified them all.

Scott had explained to the two Stilinski's what he heard the doctors say about Cassie when she was burning up in the club, and that gave them a little bit of encouragement that they didn't want the girl dead yet, meaning they had time to figure something out for her and stop them from getting to her again. If Cassie was successful so far to their experiments, or whatever they were, and all of the the other ones had been a complete failure to them, then that could mean that she had a chance, and they were going to do everything in their power to make sure that she was safe..

"Did you notice anything strange about Stiles last night?" Cassie asked her dad, as they both sat in the living room with the TV quietly on in the background, Cassie sat with a blanket wrapped around her body, with a mug of tea in her hands to make her feel better. Noah had been waiting for Liam to arrive and sit with Cassie for the day so he could go to work; none of them wanted to leave her alone at all, and Liam was the best bet since he wasn't going to Eichen House with the other pack members during the day, and there was no way Cassie was going with them.

Noah looked over at his daughter with furrowed brows, not knowing what she was talking about, "What do you mean?" He asked, himself, not seeing anything wrong with his son. What could possibly be wrong with Stiles, other than the boy worrying constantly about his little sister? It was normal for him to worry about his friends and family, and hadn't seemed any different in his opinion.

Cassie shrugged at his words, pulling the blanket closer to herself as she snuggled into the couch, "I don't know, he just seemed.. Frigid." She explained to him, watching as her father gave her a confused look at her words, not understanding any of this. Everyone was acting differently lately, with the whole doctors situation, it didn't surprise Noah that Cassie thought Stiles was acting differently.

"It's Stiles." Non pointed out, knowing that his son was almost always acting strange towards everyone. He was just that kind of person.

"Yeah, I know." Cassie agreed with him, knowing where he was coming from, "But he just seemed different, I don't know." She sighed. Cassie then remembered that he had flinched when she touched his shoulder. "He flinched when I touched his shoulder the other day, but, I don't know.. Maybe I'm just overthinking." She mumbled tiredly, leaning back into the sofa.

Noah stood up and headed towards her, before sitting besides her on the sofa and pulling her towards him for a hug, which she accepted instantly. "You've been through a lot, Cass." He told her, kissing her on the forehead. "No one would blame you if you were." He said, as he couldn't imagine anyone else going through what Cassie had been through, and still act completely fine, as if nothing had happened to them - his daughter was strong, and that was obvious to anyone who knew them.
Cassie smiled into her fathers hold, she could never ask for a better father - even as a single dad, he was amazing and had done so good without her mom. Most parents wouldn't be able to do it, especially as good as her dad had done, but Noah was different - he had done amazingly, and Stiles and Cassie couldn't be more proud of him.

Just as she was about to tell him she loved him, there was a knock at the front door, indicating that Liam had finally arrived to sit with Cassie for the whole day.. Giving her one last kiss on the forehead, Noah stood up and headed towards the door to let the boy in - at first, he didn't know how he felt about his daughter dating Liam, especially since he was a werewolf, a new one at that, but he knew that Liam cared deeply for his daughter, and that made it better. Since Noah had met Liam for the first time, it had been when the boy was taken down to the station for running around naked, so it hadn't been the best introduction, but over time, he had started to like the boy, and knew that he was a good match for his daughter and he cared for her deeply.

From her place in the living room, Cassie could hear the awkward introduction that Liam gave her dad, before they both walked back into the room. She couldn't help but snort at the look on Liam's face as he was walked into the room, obviously feeling nervous at seeing Noah again. "I don't want any funny business." Her dad told the two of them.. He was only allowing this due to the fact that Cassie was in danger, if it was any other situation, he wouldn't have allowed them to have the house to themselves.

"Dad." Cassie complained, embarrassed that he would even suggest that. She rolled her eyes when she gave Liam a look that claimed he had his eyes on him, and sighed in relief when he finally left the two alone, heading to work. Cassie smiled sheepishly when Liam took the seat on the sofa next to her, "Popcorn?" She asked, holding up a piece to show him with a sluggish look.

Liam chuckled slightly at his girlfriend, and took the popcorn piece. He couldn't be more happy that she was okay, as after the night before, he didn't know if she would be. The whole pack couldn't be more terrified that something bad could happen to Cassie, as they all loved the girl; although, after today, when they get the book, they'll hopefully have better knowledge on the doctors, then they may be able to help Cassie.
Cassie leaned into Liam, as he put his arm around her, and the two sat in silence, masking in each others company. "You scared me the other night." He eventually told her, causing her to sigh, "I thought you might've died. I don't know what I would've done." He admitted, sighing.

"I'm sorry." Cassie told him, looking up to face him with a sad look on her face, "I didn't want you to worry. As for the other night, I don't know what happened." She said.

"You know you're just as important as everyone else, right?" He asked her - Liam knew what she had said to Scott, and he couldn't believe that Cassie would even think that she meant less that he others. "If something else happens, you have to tell me." He told her, wanting her to be able to confide in him.

"Deal." She replied, laying her head back down into his shoulder. After a few seconds, she spoke again in a quiet voice, the thought coming to her mind and plaguing it, making her unable to think of anything else, "Am I gonna die?" She had to ask him - she wished that he would tell her the truth, as no one else seemed to be doing so, trying to spare her feelings and not make her scared.
Everyone in the pack and her dad, seemed to think that they could save Cassie, and there was no way that she was going to die, or get taken by the doctors - but she knew that wasn't going to be the case. She felt like something bad was going to happen, and it wasn't going to end well, only, she was the only one who realised that - the others were in denial.

"Not if I can help it." Liam replied, knowing that he would protect her with his life. Cassie was his anchor, and always will be - he can't live without her.

"You're just one person." Cassie joked.

"One person that'll go to the ends of the earth for you." He told her, causing her to look up at him in admiration. She didn't know just how much Liam cared for her, until this moment. It seemed like minutes went by as the two of them were gazing into each others eyes, and Liam finally had the courage to speak those three words. "I love you." He said, finally admitting it.

Cassie didn't think that she could smile any wider, and instantly, she replied, "I love you, too." She whispered, having leaned in close to him.
The two teenagers felt like they where the only people in the world, when they relaxed in the Stilinski home, not wanting to ever leave each other's side.
