CASSIE HAD A FREE PERIOD, so she decided to pick up some lunch for her dad, and his new deputy that had just been hired, called Jordan, and was on her way to drop it off to them. She liked Jordan, as he was a nice guy and a good help to her father, so she would always buy him food when she got the chance to. Currently, Cassie was trying to get her dad to cut down on the unhealthy food he always ate, so she's brought him a healthy lunch for the day, whereas she had bought Jordan a nice burger meal.
As much as her dad hated his new diet set up by his daughter, he knew it was doing him good, and helping him loose some weigh and become more fit for his job..

When Cassie walked into the station, she instantly saw Stiles and Scott, talking to her dad in his office, and not being at school, which just confused her, so instead of heading for her dad first, she waltzed up to Jordan at his desk, who was currently filling out some reports on his computer.
"Hey, Jordan, I brought you some lunch." Cassie told him, placing his bag of food onto the desk in front of him.

Jordan looked up at her with a thankful expression, having had such a long day with this unknown kid, this lunch had made his day, "Thank you Cassie." Jordan told her, as he looked inside the bag, his stomach growling already at the smell of the food. "You didn't need to do that." He said.

Cassie shrugged at him, "I was bringing dad some, and I thought you'd like a burger." She told him truthfully.

Jordan smirked at her, remembering that she was making Noah stay on some kind of healthy diet to get him more fit, "Are you still going with the plan to get him to eat healthy?" Jordan couldn't help but ask. He had heard enough from Noah the past few weeks about how he just wanted a burger.

Cassie nodded up at him with a smile on her face and held up her dad's lunch with a smirk. "Yup." She said, mischievously, this is when she suddenly noticed a kid, sitting behind them; someone who she hadn't seen in here before, meaning he must be new. "Who's that?" She asked Jordan, pointing to the boy, who had looked up at Cassie like he heard her asking Jordan the question. He smiled at her, causing the girl to blush back..

Jordan looked up at her as he ate some fries, unbothered bu the boy he had brought in earlier, he was just causing him problems, "I think his name is Derek Hale." Jordan told her, having seen his finger print and his ID; it was all very strange.

Cassie furrowed her brows in confusion, as she looked over at the supposed Derek Hale. "Derek Hale?" She asked Jordan, unsure if she had heard him right. Jordan gave her a nod, not paying much attention to her, as he ate his fries. The only Derek Hale that Cassie had ever heard of, was in his twenties, and that boy was definitely her age.
She looked at the boy with a confused look on her face, he definitely wasn't Derek Hale. Who was he?
Derek looked back again, now with a smirk on his face as he looked at the attractive girl in front of him. When he was out of here, he was definitely going to ask her out..

"Cassie!" Stiles called, from their dad's office, having seen Derek give his sister hungry eyes, something that made him want to puke and kill Derek at the same time. Cassie turned to see him, with a frantic look on his face, poking his head out of the office, looking frightened for his life as he looked between herself and Derek, "Come here!" He ordered her in a hurry, ushering her over to where he stood.
Cassie nodded at Jordan and said her goodbyes, before following Stiles to her dad's office. "What are you doing here?" Stiles asked, the second she entered the room, looking completely infuriated with her that she was even here.

Cassie held up her dad's lunch bag in her hand, "I told dad I would swing by and bring him some lunch during my free period." She told him in a duh tone, wondering how her dad could forget it.
Cassie could feel 'Derek Hales' eyes on her back but she simply ignored it as she walked towards her dad. She didn't know who that boy was, but he definitely wasn't Derek Hale.

Cassie then handed the food to her dad, who furrowed his brows in confusion at his daughter, having expected a nice burger meal or some fries..
"Is this a salad?" Noah asked her, pouting slightly.

Cassie nodded with a sweet smile on her face, "You're eating healthy, remember?" She asked him, not letting him get away with his awful diet any longer. He promised that he would cut down, and she was going to make sure he kept it.

Noah sighed once he remembered that she was making him eat healthily, "Oh yeah." He mumbled in realisation, "Thanks sweetie." He said, sheepishly, giving her a smile, which she didn't buy for one second.

Cassie tilted her head at him, something being off with the sound of his voice, like he was hiding something, "You already had lunch, don't you?" She asked him, narrowing her eyes at him, almost glaring him down.

"Wha..." Noah stuttered, afraid that he had been caught out, "No, no way." He lied straight to her face.
Cassie narrowed her eyes at her father before walking over to his desk where he sat, instantly spotting an eaten burger in an empty bag. She instantly lifted the bag up accusingly as he smiled at her sweetly as if he had done nothing wrong.

"You promised." Cassie complained, causing her dad to raise his hands in surrender, now feeling terrible.

"I'm sorry." Noah instantly apologised, "I promise I'll stick to it." He said.

Cassie scoffed, not believing a word her father said, before speaking up again, changing the subject, "Oh, who is that?" She asked, motioning to the boy sitting in the waiting area, who was watching them all. "Jordan said that his name is Derek Hale." She told her dad, Scott and Stiles, "But that can't be right though, isn't Derek, like, in his twenties?" She asked, wanting to know what the hell was going on.

Stiles and Scott exchanged a worried look as her dad looked flustered at her question - this was such a messy situation that they had no clue how to explain it to Cassie..
"His name is Miguel." Stiles told her quickly, having not been able to think about another name. This earned looks from both Scott and her dad at how stupid Stiles was.

Cassie instantly raised an eyebrow at him, not believing a word he said, "Miguel?" She asked him, earning a nod from the two boys and an eye roll from her dad.

"In fact, why don't we go and talk to Miguel, now, Scott?" Stiles told Scott, hurriedly pushing Scott out of the room, with him following closely behind, needing to get Derek out of here and away from Cassie.
The second the two boys headed back to 'Miguel', she heard the boy asking about who she was and if she would be free to go on a date, only for Scott and Stiles to bite his head off, not like the boy cared.

Cassie turned back to her dad, with an annoyed expression on her face as she did so, as it was as clear as day that they were all lying to her, "Whats going on?" She asked, suspiciously.

Her dad shrugged at her, pretending he didn't have a clue at what was going on, "Beats me. It's Stiles." He told her, before putting his food down on his desk, "Do you have a lift back to school?" He asked, changing the subject.

"No." Cassie told him, still looking at her brother and Scott, talking to 'Miguel' through the window, as if they were arguing about something.

"I'll give you a lift back, then. Come on." He told her, picking up his keys from the table and heading to the door.
She looked at him, confused at what had just happened, but agreed to go with him, none the less.

What happened in Mexico? And why were they all so secretive around her?

"I swear, Stiles and Scott are the weirdest people I've ever known." Cassie told Ellie as they sat in the canteen with their lunch food. Ellie hummed in agreement, not properly listening to Cassie as she rambled on, as she did this most days and the girl was getting fed up of it. Cassie noticed this and sighed in frustration, "You're not listening to me, are you?" She asked her friend, who was playing with her nails.

Ellie sighed and looked up at Cassie, "You need to stop obsessing over them. Focus on your own life." She told her, shrugging.

Cassie furrowed her eyebrows in realisation, she had been focusing on her brother too much lately, maybe she should tone it down and focus on herself and school.
"Maybe you're right." She admitted, sighing in annoyance.

"I'm always right." Ellie told her, winking at her friend.

Cassie chuckled at ellie, "Of course you are." She told her.

"Oh, did you hear? A new kid is starting tomorrow." Ellie told Cassie, sitting up in excitement. Ellie had always been one of the first students to hear the gossip of the school, and that meant that Cassie was one of the first to hear, also - it was one of the reasons as to why Cassie loved being friends with her..

"Really? From where?" Cassie asked.

"Mason said that he's from Denvord Prep." Ellie informed her.

"Really? That's a bit of a change." Cassie voiced out.

"He got kicked out." Ellie told her.

Cassie let out a low whistle, "Whew." She exclaimed, "What'd he do?" She asked, hoping Ellie would know.

"Destroyed his coaches car for benching him for a season in lacrosse." Ellie told her, as she ate her lunch.

"Jeez." Cassie mumbled in realisation, knowing that it was a pretty bold thing to do, "School's been boring lately though, nothing ever happens in Beacon Hills, so I guess this'll be cool." She said.

Ellie nodded her head along to Cassie's statement, little did they know, something big was about to happen.
