Okay! Now, let's test it out, shall we? Oi Mers! Come here and say something, anything you wanna.
Uh...why though?
(LIEUTENANT MEREDITH VICKERS)
Oh, it worked! See? It's showing your name there!
Seriously, you haven't changed at all. Still nerdy and jolly as always, I see.
(LIEUTENANT MEREDITH VICKERS)
Alright, enough you brat. I'm gonna write down my mission report after I'm done with this. Let's end our chat here, shall we?
Sure. I'm tired after today's mission anyway. I'm still disappointed that we lost three men. May they rest in peace. They were your platoon boys right?
(LIEUTENANT MEREDITH VICKERS)
Yeah, I wanted to get to know them more. They seemed like good people-strong people. I hope they find peace in their death.
But, I still found that thing I saw, unnatural though, if it makes sense. I don't even know if I know what I saw. I'm not sure, because how could a person be there, right? Right, Mers?
I mean, we took care of it. I don't think we need to scratch our heads over it anymore.
(LIEUTENANT MEREDITH VICKERS)
You're right, I'm just fussing over nothing at this point. But, I'm just-I do-
Look, if it comes back to bite our asses again, well, we're gonna have to fight it again anyway, right? It's fine, don't bash your head over it for too long. I'm going. Get some sleep. See ya later.
(LIEUTENANT MEREDITH VICKERS)
Why do you always interrupt me when I'm saying something? Anyway, I'll rest up after I'm finished. Bye.

Well, that's that. Meredith is a very dear friend of mine. She might seem to be arrogant as hell at times, but she's a good, caring person at heart, I know it. Our history goes way back during our time in the Union Air. We were squad mates.
Crazy-skilled pilot, that's what she is. She's just that talented, I guess. I me-
I heard that. Thank you.
(LIEUTENANT MEREDITH VICKERS)
Oi! You didn't leave yet? I thought you left, you eavesdropping idiot!
Yeah, I'm sorry for taking a few seconds to tie my shoelaces, you dumbass!
(LIEUTENANT MEREDITH VICKERS)
Tch, you and your damn Timberlands. So, anyw-
Don't stay up too late. Not like I care, but we got combat training in 12 hours. There's a bunch of arrogant young'uns dying for a chance to prove their worth. I can't wait to see how they fumble in the zero-gravity flight training though.
So, remember we are instructors too. The Thunderbolt and Lightning can't take the spotlight all the time, you know?
(LIEUTENANT MEREDITH VICKERS)
Yep, definitely on purpose. And please don't call us that. It's embarrassing as hell.
You should be proud, though. Also, I can do whatever the hell I want now. We both stand at equal ranks commanding different platoons in a bloody space station.
We can't keep being unruly, savage idiots forever. Anyway, I'll get going. Get some rest. See ya, goody two shoes.
(LIEUTENANT MEREDITH VICKERS)
Says the girl who still adores that silly nickname. You never stop insulting me, you nasty piece of work. Go sleep, I'll see ya later.
*********************
Well, she deserves the 'Lightning' name honestly. Like I said, she's so nimble when she's in that cockpit. I've never seen someone fly a Skavaar with such graceful aggression before. I probably never will.
I'm the firepower dude, hence, 'Thunderbolt'. I was known for my knowledge of different weapons and accurate application of those weapons in battles back in the Union Air.
We racked a lot of stars and reputation together when we were squad mates, Mers and I. And well, her talent got recognized one day and she went on to become one of the first recruits of the Watchdogs, a military brigade of the best of the best.
*********************
Enough about her, I wanna talk about what has happened since the last time I was online. Man, this place is awesome! Like, first things first; the Black Pearl is entirely made out of Chronodenium. Those huge reserves in Northern Mars sure came in handy.
Chronodenium is lighter and stronger than general alloys like steel, which are used to make the majority of the structure of space stations.
The rare liquid Phazerus we found in Venus, paved the way to the literal invention of paragravity, the reason why I can actually sit on this chair and not float around like an idiot, you know?
Ah, look at me gushing over science stuff again. I can't help it! No one ever told me this stuff, you know! I didn't sleep well the first two nights because I was too busy reading the handbook of this place. How amazing is this place?!
But, things have been quite orderly since the day I arrived-I've been chilling honestly. But today was quite an experience, indeed. Since, the days when the Isnenis attacked us, we have grown stronger, but we drew the attention of several other hostile and benevolent planets alike.
One of them, Trindal, a planet not that far away from Black Pearl, had been defeated by Orbital Alliance. Their corrupted monarchy was overthrown, placing them under the World Council's rule. However, a rebel group called the Whistle Revolt, gained tremendous power through politics and propaganda.
And alas, they are trying to take over the planet again, wishing to continue the oppression that the monarchy previously imposed on its citizens.
Whistle Revolt planned to launch an attack at the Black Pearl. The security systems saw 'em coming from miles away and raised an alarm.
Mers' and my platoons intercepted them near Pluto. Their old, rusty, leftover 2nd generation Skavaars abandoned in Trindal since the war, were no match for our modified and improved 5th generation ones. An improved and wider array of weaponry, explosive speed and agility, this baby has it all. Oh, and higher nuclear fuel efficiency as well-that's my favorite thing about the 5th generation jets, don't judge me.
But, I noticed something as the fight came to a close. I was scoping nearby areas for cleanup. While returning back, I saw something truly petrifying amidst the enemy ship's remnants.
I didn't wanna talk about it, but I gotta get it off my chest. I need to, otherwise this might just eat me alive.
Well, amongst all that rubble-amongst all that rubble, I saw something that shook me to the core.
Well, firstly, Trindalians are silicon-based, white, crusty organisms that live in extreme temperatures ranging from 200-250 Celsius. They have long, slender arms and humongous legs. They have a bunch of granule-sized, black, sensitive nodes dotted all across their bodies. They are, obviously, very much distinguishable than humans.
Man, I hope I'm wrong but I-but I saw a human being in the midst of all that debris.
No, no, that's not possible. Anyone will die out there, it doesn't make sense. We lost three pilots but we retrieved their bodies back. There's no chance there could be a human being outside, let alone without any equipment. How was it breathing? No, but I know what I saw as well.
I'm-I'm sure it was a human. I have no other explanation for what I saw. The way it glared at me-glared at us sent shivers down my spine. It was almost as if-as if I could feel its rage.
I instantly knew it's powerful, whoever it was.
Mers did end up blowing up the enemy Skavaars' fuel tanks. I'm sure whatever it was, it died there. No being, no matter how strong, could escape that big and powerful an explosion. If it did, the radiation must have got to it, right? I feel uneasy not knowing what happened to it. However, I don't wanna mention this in my report.
Nobody would believe me, would they? Why would they anyway? It's just not possible. They'll think I'm hallucinating or something. And yet...
Anyway, I have to make sure my supervisor doesn't think I've gone crazy and deport me back to Earth. I finally caught up to Meredith. I finally got another chance to fight by her side. I'm not losing it. Whatever happens, I know we, the Watchdogs, will handle it. I know we will-I'm sure we will.
I'm done for today. Mers is right. I shouldn't get in a panic over this. I got training in a few hours. I gotta sleep well otherwise, I won't be able to perform well. Lieutenants gotta be leaders for their troops.
I know there's no night or day in here but I'll say it anyway.
Good night.
