-Chapter 67

A few months later...

Jenny's POV

I smiled to Joanna as the dressmaker tied the back of the dress for me. It was here just in time for the wedding and I was thanking the Lords that it actually fit.

"Wow, you look stunning." Joanna smiled, eyeing me up and down.

"It's a perfect fit." The lady behind me said as she finished tying it. I grinned from ear to ear and did a twirl in front of the mirror. This dress was much more awe-striking than my first wedding dress. For some reason, my confidence level was much higher in this one.

"Niall's gonna love it." Joanna smiled. "You look like a queen."

"Oh, will I love it?" They heard Niall call from behind the door.

"Feck off, Niall." I called over her shoulder. "You can't see me until the wedding day."

"Lucky I only have to wait a few days then," we heard him say before receding footsteps were heard. Jenny did one last twirl before the lady helped her out of the dress, hanging it up and putting it back in the cover it had come in.

"Are you all packed for Ireland?" I asked Joanna with a smile. We finally decided the wedding was going to be in Ireland. Niall found a historical castle which holds weddings, so we booked that. Only close friends and family will be attending, we already had a big wedding once and want something more intimate and special this time.

"Yeah, but I was just wondering," she swayed on her feet with her hands behind her back. "Has  my invitation got a plus one?" She smiled.

"Oh, now why would you be asking that?" I smirked, knowing where she was heading with this, but I actually wanted to hear her say the words.

"I might wanna take a boy," she smiled down at my feet. Even hearing her say those words shocked me to the core. I knew what she was going to utter but Joanna, wanting to take a boy? The girl who said she never wanted a serious relationship or to get married. Must be pretty serious if she wants to take him to my wedding.

"You actually have a boyfriend?" I wanted her to clarify, just to be sure my mind wasn't imagining this whole situation. She nodded shyly and giggled.

"Yeah, he's really sweet. I know I never ever wanted anything serious and I never thought I could trust a boy, but he has shown me that not all boys are dickheads. I never thought I'd find one who wasn't, but yeah, he has shown me to have an open mind about things," she said and I felt my heart grow warm at the thought of some boy treating my little sister like a princess. But if he ever hurts her, he's dead.

"Well, of course he can come to the wedding, I'd love to meet the boy who's making my sister so happy," I smiled and so did she. She nodded and took a step forward, embracing me in a tight hug.

"I'm surprised you haven't teased me yet, or said, 'I told you so'," she rolled her eyes as she pulled back from the embrace.

"Wait until I met him, the taunting may begin then." I chuckled and Joanna groaned.

"I swear to God Jen, if you embarrass me in front of him," she warned, although I knew her threat was merely a figure of speech. She had nothing against me.

"I must get the embarrassing baby photo's ready to show him. I think he'd like your first bath picture," I giggled and she immediately slapped my forearm playfully.

"If you do that, I'll make sure I have backup to show Niall at the wedding." She teased.

"Oh Jo," I reached forward and pinched her cheek. "Niall and I have known each other for long enough, don't worry, he has seen every embarrassing photo of me and saw me do embarrassing things. It's what marriage is about," I patted her cheek and then opened the door, going to tell Niall about the extra guest that was going to be attending now.

Niall himself, had been getting on quite good. Much to my relief, he had finally got over Mason. I knew it was still difficult for him at times when he seen him, but for the most part, his feelings of hurt and anguish were all in the past.  He accepted the role as Mason's godfather. After much deliberation, he agreed he would prefer to have some part of Mason's life in contrast to no part.

As for Andrew, well, he has been a great father to Mason. For someone who never anticipated having a child, he has taken to it well. It surprised us all, I never thought Andrew would touch a dirty nappy. Well, sometimes he attempts to pawn that off to me if I'm with him, but if I could have done that sometimes too, I would have.

Arabella was still pretty confused about the whole topic, I guess you could say, as expected. We thought she had forgotten about it, considering her age, but children can surprise you; as did she. One day, we were out shopping and she spotted Andrew with Mason. She ran to him yelling, 'my boder!'. Thankfully, nobody around us saw. That would have been an awkward question for Niall for his Twitter segment of the show.

Much to our relief though, she didn't query as to why Andrew now has Mason. I personally, though the little smartass would, but she surprised us all on that one, considering she is such an intelligent and inquisitive child, especially for her young age.

...

A few days later, the day had finally arrived for us to travel to Ireland. Niall had booked a jet for everyone who was attending, as well as a room in the castle we were getting married in.

I soon became acquainted with Joanna's boyfriend on the plane. Darren, was his name. He was so friendly and so courteous not only towards Joanna, but also to me. He shook my hand and introduced himself, which I had not expected from a young lad. He also introduced himself to Niall and thanked him for allowing him to come on such short notice.

My mother, much surprising to everyone, came. I invited her, well, one can't really not invite their mother, imagine what people would have to say about that. Now we don't live together anymore and Joanna no longer lives with her, we hadn't been fighting. The waters had been quite calm between us. We didn't necessarily get on well, but we didn't bicker constantly. Although, we hadn't been together for longer than a few hours so I guess you could say a fight could be foreseeable during the wedding.

When we arrived at the castle, Niall and I got out together, hand in hand. Our shoes crunched against the gravel stones beneath our feet. He smiled down at me as we walked up the steps proceeding to the castle. The doors were taller than your average door, they looked like something you would see in a history book, although, so did the castle. To the left was a tower taller than many buildings I had ever seen. The grey bricks with ivy climbing up the walls to the top of the tower. As I peered to the top of the tower, I admired the clear sky, only a few fluffy, almost comical-like clouds in the sky - not what I expected for Ireland.  Niall had informed me the weather here is - for better lack of words - shit.

The door opened and behind it was a man in a suit, holding up a silver tray in one hand with glasses of champagne, his spare hand greeting each of us with a glass of champagne. "Mr Horan and Mrs Horan to be." He tipped his hat to us. I smiled as Niall squeezed my hand, glancing up at him with a smile etched on my features.

Arabella toddled in behind us and held her hand out to the man for a glass. "Where's mine?" She questioned and i hissed to her that that was rude and she was too little for this adult drink.

"And apple juice for little Horan." He handed her a plastic wine glass. She squealed and took it excitedly, elated she was drinking like the adults. I smiled at how nice that gesture was, letting her toddle inside ahead of us.

Niall placed his hand on the smalls of my back as we walked down the carpet. Inside, I peered around admiring the gold chandeliers which hung from the ceiling, the crystals of them gleaming in the light as they moved with the wind which came through the open door. Under our feet was thick red carpet which our feet sunk into. One could probably sleep on it, it was like stepping in memory foam.

To each side of the hallway were staircases. Large oak staircases which spiralled upstairs to the landing. I peered around in awe, before turning to Niall who was too smiling. "You're going to have a real fairytale wedding." Joanna smiled from behind us. We both showed one another beaming smiles before walking hand in hand upstairs to our bedroom.

The master bedroom - which would we not be sleeping in tonight, considering the bride can't see the groom the night before the wedding - it was spectacular. Chandeliers once again hung from the ceiling, roses leading up to the canopy bed, curtains draping. On the bed, amidst the scattering of rose petals were two bathrobes folding into the shape of swans; Niall almost pissed himself when he saw them.

"Jeez, you'd think we were fancy or something," He chuckled. "I'm quite surprised we didn't decide to have the wedding in KFC or something."

"It's not to late to change our minds," I teased. "I saw one on the way here," a chuckle erupted from Niall in response.

Just as I Niall was about to speak again, we were interrupted by Arabella toddling into the room with Mason crawling behind her. I saw Niall smile sadly for a moment, although it only lingered for a few seconds. I noticed it though.

I chuckled when I saw how Mason was dressed, it was rather conspicuous  Andrew was his father. Black jeans with a denim shirt on, underneath a striped shirt with the words 'I came to slay' written on it. I rolled my eyes fondly before observing the little shoes he had on him. The kid can't walk yet and Andrew already had a pair of silver metallic old skool vans. I'm not placing genders on shoes, but I am about ninety-eight per cent sure they were girls shoes. I had to say, they looked pretty damn cute.

Arabella pranced in with hands behind her back, obviously holding something. I eyed her suspiciously while Mason moved from crawling position, sitting on his bottom. His dummy fell from between his lips, a trail of drool following but a beaming smile covering his features as he saw us. He waved to Niall and giggled while Arabella bounced on her feet.

She walked over to Mason and handed him a box, whispering into his ear, "give that to daddy." Mason just giggled and put the box into his mouth, gnawing on it. "No May," she scolded, walking over and pulling it out of his mouth. "Give to daddy," she pointed towards Niall.

Niall chuckled quietly and held his hands out to Mason. "Can I have it?" Niall asked him, holding his hand out to retrieve the box from Mason. Mason crawled over and placed it in Niall's hand, smiling shyly.

"Open it, daddy!" Bella squealed as Maura came and stood in the doorway. Niall smiled and took the lid off the small box. He chuckled quietly as he saw it. In his hand was a watch, with a note attached it saying 'don't be late'.

"Who picked this?" Niall smiled as he took it out.

"Nana!" Bella pointed to her before running to me and handing me the box she was holding. I took the lid off mine as well, smiling when I saw a diamond necklace. Maura came over and took a seat next to me, wrapping an arm around me.

"I know you need something borrowed, I didn't think your mom would give you anything so this is the necklace I wore on my wedding day to Niall's father many moons ago." She smiled proudly and my eyes watered.

"Thank you so much," I wrapped my arms around her and held her in a tight embrace for a few seconds, blinking the tears out of my eyes.

"You are so welcome," she smiled as she pulled back.

"Hey, you didn't have anything borrowed last time we got married, maybe that's why we got divorced," Niall chuckled which made me roll my eyes. True. Too true. I didn't go by tradition, I hadn't borrowed anything because well, I didn't know what to borrow. I didn't have anything blue either, no wonder we got divorced.

"Well, you have a second chance to get it right this time," Maura smiled, rubbing my forearm as I admired the necklace in my hands.

"Second time lucky to become Mrs Horan," grinned Niall from next to us. I returned the smile.

A/N Hey guys! So so sorry for not updating, it's been a busy two weeks. Granda was very, very ill and well, finally got his peace yesterday afternoon. I miss my best dude so, so much already but seeing him today, he just looks like he's sleeping, you'd never think he suffered as much as he did over the last 8 months. I didn't want him to die, but it's a relief to know he's not in pain anymore. I wanted a sign to know he is okay and he gave me one last night, I know he's watching over us all now. So thank you all for being patient, I got a little time yesterday to write and just got this finished now! I hope it's still to the usual standard, my heads a little all over the place!

Anyway, I probably won't update for another few days, I want a little family time I guess after this. My nanny needs all of us at the minute :) So, I'll see you all soon! Thank you all for your continual support, it means so much to me, especially in times like these!

I love you all so, so much! Hope you're having a great day and don't forget to vote and comment!
