When our AGM was finished I stood up an thanked everyone for coming before exiting the room and going straight to the bathroom. I locked myself in a cubicle and heaved over the toilet for a few minutes. 

Being trapped in that small room sitting next to the one employee I have who does not know what deodorant is. I should of put a bottle in her little christmas goodie bag, it would of been a bonus for us all. 

It's just the pregnancy that's making me sensitive to smell, although I think anyone's nose is sensitive to the smell of someone's bio. 

"Jenny, are you okay?" I heard Laura, one of my workers outside the cubical say. Fuck, she can't know I'm pregnant. 

"Yep, fine, just ate something off." I manage to choke out before I actually do be sick. I couldn't tell her I was actually being sick because of my sensitivity to smell. I'm was almost at the three month mark so I wasn't going to jinx it this time. 

"Okay." She replied. "I'll go get you some water." She said which made me groan, god can she not just leave me to puke in peace. 

I came out of the cubical a few minutes later and feigned a smile when she handed me a bottle of chilled water. "Thanks." I smiled as plausibly as I could, taking a sip and then following her out of the bathroom, going to my office and taking a seat at my desk. 

"Hey Jenny." Andrew's head peeped in the door a few minutes later. "Niall is calling, shall I put him through to you?" He asked and I nodded, smiling at him. 

I picked up the phone a few minutes later and once I said hello Niall just began babbling on down the phone, not allowing me to get a word in edgeways. 

"So, I'm in the spare room now right, you know the one we're gonna make the nursery and what colour do you think we should paint it?" Niall questioned which made me chuckle. 

"You seriously phoned me while I'm at work to ask me that?" I laughed, raising an eyebrow even though he couldn't see it. 

"Yeah, I'm just so excited." He squealed. "Blue, pink or cream?" He asked. 

"Niall, we don't even know if it's a boy or a girl, you can't paint the bloody nursery already you goose." I chuckled which i heard a huff in response from him. 

"Buzz kill." He muttered to himself. "Whether it's a boy or a girl I already got it an Ireland football jersey." He giggled which made me coo. "Mammy is posting it over so we'll have it soon, I'm so excited." He said and began babbling on about the baby again. 

I smiled the whole time, listening to him and rubbing my belly as I did. It makes me so happy to know he's this excited. I know he's scared as well, well, who wouldn't with the history we've had but if it's meant to happen, it will happen. 

"Okay Niall, I love this baby chat and I am enjoying listening to you but I have to get back to work. I have a meeting about the launch of the new collection in ten minutes so I need to go." I informed him after about fifteen minutes of chatting. 

"Okay, see you at home." He chirped before we both said "love you" simultaneously and then hung up. 

...

'Ni." I called out when I arrived home. I searched the house and eventually found him in the spare room next to ours, sitting cross-legged on the floor with his laptop perched on his lap. 

"What are you doing in here?" I questioned, looking down at the measuring tape he had next to him and frowning.

"I'm looking at furniture for the nursery, I'm measuring it to make sure it will all fit." He turned to face me and smiled which made me chuckle fondly. 

"We don't even know if it's a boy or a girl yet and you're looking at furniture." I chuckled, sitting down next to him and beginning to play with his hair gently, resting my head on his shoulder and looking at the screen of his laptop.

"Well, I'm just excited to do this room for our little 'un." He smiled and giggled. "Can we find out the gender when it's time so we can do this room before it's born?" He asks, smiling with all his teeth, as though to tantalise me. 

"No." I whine and pout. "I don't wanna find out until it's born." I say and kiss his cheek gently. "I want a surprise." I say which makes him roll his eyes. 

"No, we have t' know. M'impatient and I wanna know what this little 'un is so we can spoil him or her before she or he is even born." He smiled, placing his hands on my belly and rubbing it softly. 

"We'll see." I rolled my eyes fondly and peered at the screen of his laptop to see exactly what he was looking at, smiling softly then when I saw he literally had everything the nursery would need in his basket. 

...

"Come on! Come on! We're gonna be late." Niall yelled, running down the stairs ahead of me as I put on my shoes. 

"Niall, the appointment isn't for another forty minutes and it's going to take us ten minutes at the most to get there." I rolled my eyes as I followed him down the stairs. today is my three month scan, and someone is a little bit excited to say the least. 

"I'm just so excited to see our little one for the first time properly!" He clapped his hands and paced ahead of me. I chuckled and followed him, subconsciously rubbing my belly as I did. 

He drove me to the hospital where my scan would take place, making me drink water the whole journey there just so we wouldn't have to sit in the waiting room as long then, awaiting my need for the bathroom. 

Once there, we basically got straight in as I had been drinking so much, at Niall's request of course. He sat eagerly next to me, holding my hand and staring at the screen intensively as he waited to see the baby on the screen. 

When the baby appeared I looked at the screen slightly confused. It just looked like a giant blob of nothing to be quite honest, I didn't know where the head was or where anything was to be quite honest. 

Niall's smile faltered as well because we could't make it out. Baby scans are always confusing to make out anyways. 

"There's the head." The nurse smiled and pointed to a white patch on the screen. I nodded and Niall smiled brightly. 

"Can you tell us the gender?" Niall piped up which made me roll my eyes. 

"No." She chuckled. "Jenny is only twelve weeks along, you're going to have to wait until sixteen weeks at least.Even then we might not be able to tell." She smiled over at Niall who nodded in defeat, seeming quite upset he wasn't going to be able to paint the nursery this month. 

"That sucks." He sighed, slumping back in his seat and pouting slightly over at me. 

"Be patient Niall." I chuckled as the nurse printed off the photo for us to take home. Niall eagerly took it and smiled. 

"Can we have one more copy?" He questioned. "I want to put this one on the fridge and I wanna send one to me mammy." He grinned. The nurse nodded and printed off another one for him which he then placed both in my handbag before going outside and waiting on me then. 

He chattered away happily the whole way home about the baby, I smiled at how elated he way. It made me feel happy to know he's so happy about this. 

And we have finally made it to three months with a baby! This has not happened before! We always seemed to lose the baby before three months, but this time, I think we're going to be alright! We're past the first hurdle anyways, so that's a good sign.

Once home Niall placed the scan on the fridge, where the scan from our first baby still was as well. None of us ever had the heart to take it down. We always kept it as a little reminder I guess. 

"Finally." Niall smiled and came behind me, wrapping his arms around me and placing both his hands on my belly, rubbing it gently. "We're gonna have our baby." He giggled and pressed his lips to the side of my neck, kissing it gently and then just letting them sit there. 

Indeed we are. It was finally becoming a reality.
