AN ETERNITY

Potions with Ravenclaws was not fun at all.

If you put two hard-working houses togather, it is never good. Dexter was at least happy that Ravenclaws and Slytherins weren't togather.

Some of the Ravenclaws- some, not all- thought that they always had to be the most intelligent and successful one. Most of the Hufflepuffs were hard-working, so they could beat the Ravenclaws' intelligence.

Plus, Hufflepuffs had Nate- who was like the most intelligent person alive. With Nate, it was impossible for the Ravenclaws to beat the Hufflepuffs, which was driving them crazy.

Dexter was so happy that not all of the Ravenclaws were like that. Gregory Popper, for example. He was so smart yet humble. He would never show off his intelligence or be mean to someone.

Stereotypes of the Hogwarts houses were so stupid. Everyone saw the Gryffindors as the heroic, good guys; Slytherins as the evil and arrogant ones; Ravenclaws as the nerds and the know-it-all ones...

And, of course, Hufflepuffs as the... Good guys. Just kind and stupid ones.

The Slytherins were the most unfortunate about the houses. Everyone thought that they were just the bad guys- However, Dexter knew a lot of good people from there.

The way you used your ambition was the most important thing. If you use it to get good grades, you just become a successful and famous person... If you use it to always be right about an argument, then you become a good lawyer. However, if you use your ambition for the hunger for power... You become a Death Eater or another dark wizard like Voldemort.

Dexter hated the way that no-one could think of that. Slytherins were completely normal- they just worked so hard to achieve their goals, that was all!

Potions had gone so bad on that lesson. It had had resulted with an odd cold war between Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs.

Again, Nate was just being the best one in class. Everyone was used to it.

A Ravenclaw wasn't, whom Dexter had forgotten her name- Something like Ebony...

She had stood up in the middle of the class and hit Nate's cauldron, resulting green flamed dancing on the floor...

Nate had had easily controlled the flames with a lazy flick of his wand, however he was so upset that his potion was gone.

The saviour of the day was Nate again, which had had made Ebony become angrier...

Dexter had to literally jump between them and stop both of them to avoid another "explosion".

Nate had talked about her for almost an hour after the lesson.

" I really don't understand her... What does she want from me, what have I done to her?"

" Being yourself." Dexter said, his eyes on the ground. " She's just jealous because you are always the best one in class.

" But- I'm not that good! I'm just trying my best to be a successful student to get a good job and live a good life." he said, his eyes crossed. " What's wrong with this?"

" Nothing." Albus said. "That's the point." He suddenly stared at a direct point and his face looked lit for a split second. He then blinked a few times and returned to reality.

" I'm still hungry... Not actually hungry but I just want to eat something." James said, rubbing his stomach. Dexter and Nate exchanged stares.

They both knew a perfect place.

***

Fred, Albus and James were warmly welcomed by the Hufflepuffs to the common room. They were surrounded by a bunch of students who were serving them cales and pastries...

Marvin entered the Common room with lots of mugs and mugs and mugs.  Everyone quickly grabbed a mug and started to drink it with a great passion.

Dexter felt the vapour explode on his face, making him warmer. The smell of the tea was incredibly attractive, Dexter took a sip.

The taste of the tea was heavenly. Like soft sunrays in a peaceful spring.

Dexter suddenly stopped, choking. He saw Lyvia, the beautiful Lyvia...

Her sun-like long curls were braided and carefully placed on her beautiful shoulders. Her curvy lips were pinker then before, making Dexter stare at them like an idiot.

She was so short compared to her friend Ariadne. Dexter didn't know her name, or her dark bob cut hair with messy bangs, or her long pale neck covered by a few big moles. She was just Ariadne...

Lyvia realised that Dexter was staring at her, their eyes met for a second. Dexter quickly changed the direction of his odd stares and continued sipping his tea.

He tried to think of the heavenly taste of the tea instead of the awkward situation.

I can taste mango and coconut, this tea is awesome... I looked like a creppy stalker. She won't be talking to me, ever... She thinks that I'm wierd...

What could he do? Talk to her? Sit next to her? He had to start from somewhere, eventually...

What if Lyvia wouldn't like, love him back? What would Dexter do? He could not replace someone else... She was the only one in his mind.

His big, messy mind. In his mind, everything was about Lyvia. Lyvia's giggles, Lyvia's hair, Lyvia's favourite TV show, Lyvia's favourite singer, Lyvia's best friend...

Dexter was not one of her best friends. They would talk to each other, but not that much. They would usually talk for school stuff, not about their ordinary lives.

Dexter was worryingly drinking his tea, glancing at Lyvia with the corner of his eye. He could not control himself, Lyvia's attractiveness was so dominant...

Her pretty, aesthetic face and her gentle words... They were prettier than anything- even more than Marvin's teas. Lyvia was a real angel, who could make even atheists believe in the God and the angels.

" Hey, curly potato." Fred called him. " Are you alive?"

No he wasn't. He was a lost leaf in the strong wind of Lyvia's beauty, floating in the air for an eternity.

An eternity.
