It was a perfect day to visit the human world with my favourite of the demon brothers, Mammon. The sun was out and there was a lovely breeze that followed us as we walked. Mammon walked next to me, loudly complaining about the latest assignment in history.

"Don't stress," I said and punched his arm playfully, "We're not here to worry about school, we're here to shop!"

His face lightened at the mention of shopping, "Right!"

I had picked up a few extra shifts along with Mammon, and Lucifer didn't trust his brother not to gamble it all away without supervision, so we planned a shopping date. We finally came to the market Mammon wanted to go to, and it was bigger than what either of us expected, packed full of people between the lines of stalls.

"Let's get some food first," Mammon suggested and I nodded, leading him towards the food stalls.

We walked past a couple with fresh ingredients before I noticed a cupcake stand, "Oh, this place looks good!"

"What do you want?" Mammon said getting out his wallet.

"Oh, is the great Mammon going to pay for a lowly human such as myself?" I joked.

"Shut up," he grumbled and looked away from me to hide his growing blush, "...I wouldn't pay for any other demon, let alone a human, unless it was you, dumbass."

I could barely contain my grin as he said that, and I picked out my cupcake, along with one I thought he'd like. We got them and found a seat where we could eat them. I sat down after him, sitting as close as possible, our thighs and shoulders touching.

"You're way too close," he complained but made no effort to move so I stayed.

"Is it nice?" I asked as I ate mine.

"It's alright, not as good as Barbatos's though," he shrugged, "Here, try some."

He pulled a small bit off, making sure it had frosting and held it out to me. I leaned over and ate it out of his fingers, making him turn bright red.

"Mhm, it's nice!" I said, and he turned to look away from me.

We chatted for a little longer before deciding to walk around. As we walked, a stall with lots of various trinkets caught my eye. I practically dragged Mammom over to it and started looking through, there were crystals, jewellery, candles and other items. Mammon sighed and stood a bit behind as he waited for me to finish.

"Looking for something special?" The stall owner, a young guy, asked.

"Not really, just browsing," I said.

"Let me know if anything catches your eye," he said with a wink before serving someone else.

I decided to get a matching bracelet set,one for myself and the other for Mammon. One bracelet had white beads with a heart lock charm and the other had black beads with a heart key charm.

"Oh, this is a popular set today, getting it for your boyfriend?" The stall owner asked, leaning over the counter, "The guy who was with you before?"

"Oh no," I laughed, "Just a friend."

"So it would be alright if I asked for your number then?" He smiled, and rested his hand on mine that was holding the bracelets.

Now, I could have handled this situation very easily on my own, I know that. But before I had any chance to tell this guy to get off, an arm wrapped around me.

"Hey," Mammon said, then grabbing the guys wrist, "Can we help you?"

Obviously being a demon, Mammon was much stronger than this guy, and the wrist he was holding was beginning to squish and go a different colour.

"Jeez!" The guy yelped, letting go of me and trying to step back, but Mammon was obviously too strong.

"Aw, Mammon!" I said and leaned into his chest that was surrounding me, "I didn't think you were still watching me!"

"Dude, let go?!" Mammon looked over at the struggling guy and reluctantly let go.

"C'mon Y/n," Mammom held my hand and led me away from the stalls back to the bench where we had our cupcakes.

We sat down, even closer than before because Mammon had an arm draped over my shoulders now.

"Thanks," I said and he blushed.

"Whatever," he mumbled, "I know you could have dealt with that guy yourself, but I thought maybe I, uh, it might be cool to have been rescued or something. I dunno."

"That's so cute!" I sat up and turned to face Mammom, "I would totally do the same for you, y'know."

He laughed and turned to face me, "I know you would."

We looked at each other for a second, before our faces gravitated towards each other. Mammon's manicured hand cupped my jaw and pulled me close. I closed my eyes and I could feel him hesitant for a second before closing the gap. It was a simple kiss, quick but sweet, and that's all we needed.

As I pulled away, I could see Mammon's blushing face. He quickly moved a hand across his cheeks to hide it.

"Are you that embarrassed to kiss me?" I asked with a laugh.

"Shut up!" He grumbled and stood up, "Let's go home."

"Eh? But we haven't been here that long!" I complained.

"...Yeah, but I thought of something better to do," he said, looking down at me and I got his drift, happily following after him.
