READER'S POV

After I stepped through the door, a bright light surrounded me at first but once it died down, I found myself inside Mammon's room. I was confused at first until I heard voices.

"Hey, look who's here?! Nice work, Satan, Raven," Mammon spoke with a smile.

"Where were you when you two disappeared on them?"

"On the stair case, where the portraits line the walls," Satan told them.

"I didn't need to disappear, (Y/n) sent me on a wild goose chase to look for you guys," Raven chuckled before he sat next to Beel.

"Ooh, ooh! are Lucifer and (Y/n) alone together now? are they starting to get lovey-dovey? Come on, let's have some details!" Asmo spoke with a grin before Raven growled at him which scared Asmo.

"I left right then and there. How am I supposed to know whether they're getting lovey-dovey?"

"Exactly. Also, I don't like the idea of leaving those two alone together," Raven grumbled.

"Aww~ you're such an overprotective puppy," Asmo patted Raven's head and then he growled in annoyance.

"Regardless, now that we're got them alone together, they can take the time to open up to each other," Satan told the others.

"Yeah. If I had to come up with a nice, concise name for this plan, it'd be 'And Then There Were Two: How to Get Lucifer Alone with (Y/n), Forcing Them to Having a Heart-To-Heart, at Which Point They'll Suddenly Open Up to Each Other, Have a Great Talk, and Make Up.' ...Horror-themed edition," Levi spoke that long title for their plan.

"That's a stupid long name, Levi," Raven commented.

"So, how about we have something to eat while we're waiting," Beel suggested.

"Y'know Beel, when you disappeared, I could hear your stomach rumblin' even though you were hidden. I was serious scared you'd get us caught there for a minute. I mean, if you wanna disappear on smeone, you need to find a way to quiet down that stomach too!" Mammon told him.

"Hey! Don't ask me to do the impossible!" Beel told him.

"He's not wrong there, Beel's bottomless stomach," Raven commented.

'Now I remember; this was round about the time when Lucifer and I were alone when we thought everyone was disappearing like in the game that Levi bought. I guess this is where they were hiding this whole time,' I thought to myself.

"Well, regardless, later on we can go spy on them-"

"G'AAAAHH!" Mammon shouted when he spotted me.

"Ugh, Mammon! Not so loud...EEEKK!" Asmo shouted after he saw me.

"What the?! how can...but...WHAT?!"

"*Gasp*! (Y/n)?!" Satan shouted.

"Wh-What're you doin' here, (Y/n)?!" Mammon shouted with a frightened look.

"How did you get in here and how long have you been hiding there?!" Raven asked me.

"I thought you were supposed to be with Lucifer!" Levi shouted.

"Satan, Raven, are you sure you two weren't spotted when you slipped away.?"

"Right, you two must've been followed here..." Beel grumbled.

"Oh no, there's no way..." Satan mumbled.

"Don't be ridiculous, (Y/n) couldn't see me when I merged with the shadows," Raven told them.

'I can't tell the others that I'm from the future. Barbatos warned me about that,' I thought to myself before I told them with a frown on my face.

"As a matter of fact, I did follow Satan here and what else do I find out, you've got my familiar roped into your little scheme."

Raven whimpered with his ears and tail flopped down.

"See? what did I tell you?"

"But..."

"C'MON! Now the whole plan's ruined, and it's all your fault!" Mammon scolded them.

"I know we messed up," Satan and Raven spoke in unison.

"Okay, so considering (Y/n)'s found us, we got no choice but to tell the truth now, right?" Levi asked.

"Aww man, seriously?" Mammon told me.

"We've been caught red-handed here, so why not?" Beel spoke.

"Okay then, Satan, you do the honors," Asmo smiled

"...Well, as you can see, we didn't actually vanish. We were trying to get you and Lucifer alone, hoping you'd make up. So to do that, we disappeared on you, one by one."

"Right after you sent me away, I followed Satan here," Raven told me.

"Yeah, and while we were at it, we made it into a horror-themed thing! Y'know though, it's actually not too late. This could still work. (Y/n), go back to Lucifer! There's still time, so get goin'! Find Lucifer and patch things up with him!" Mammon told me as he pushed me towards the door.

"Wow. Mammon actually sounds like a responsible adult right now. Crazy..." Levi mumbled.

"Still, I think he's right," Beel spoke up.

"Yeah, totally! You can be in on the plan too, (Y/n)!" Asmo smiled.

"You can't deny that this is the perfect chance to have a talk with Lucifer, right? So go on, head back over to him," Satan told me as they also pushed me out of Mammon's room.

"Now wait a minute! how did you get my familiar involved?" I asked them with a frown.

"He bribed me!" Raven told me before he shoved me out of the room and closed the door.

I frowned and I needed to remind myself to take Raven's favourite treats off of him for a week as punishment. Just then, I heard voices coming from Levi's room. I listened carefully to what they were saying.

"'In order to complete the game, you must defeat the demon that serves as the final boss.' It says the boss' name is Lucifer...How ridiculous. They ust think they're very funny naming him that," I heard Lucifer's voice.

The voices that I heard are mine and Lucifer's.

"So, that means I'm the boss, and you're the player character. And if you can defeat me, you'll win the game. According to this website, the main character possesses magical powers. If you really were gifted in magic, you could probably defeat me, sure. But you're not."

"Okay but, how do I do that exactly?"

"Hold on, there's a page here on how to get the true ending of the game."

"'A Super Simple Guide to Achieving the True Ending. Fall in love with the oss, Lucifer. Sweet, sweet love. Make him your love slave, and you're set!"

My eyes widen when I heard this because that's not what it said before.

"...What the hell?" I heard Lucifer grumbled.

"Whatever. Let's get out of here," I heard Lucifer say. The two of them are leaving the room and they're coming in my direction.

'Crap! time to run!' I thought to myself.

But, I realised that I didn't have time to run until I remembered there was a wall that is hiding a secret. I remember this because this is where Beel and I found this room when Luke went missing that night. The spot on the wall has a riddle and it said:

"When the morning star dewlt in the heavens, its light shone down upon this one, sparkling brilliantly, the eighth of the eight." I knew the answer to that riddle.

"Lilith..."I whispered before the door opened.

I stepped through the door and I could feel the warmth in her old room. For some reason, I feel like I know this room very well. I heard someone knock on the door followed by a familiar voice.

"I'm coming in okay?"

I turned around and Levi had came into the room. "Aha, I thought I'd find you in here. Wait, Belphie's not here? Huh, that's weird... He was just telling me that he was going to stop by your room."

I looked at Levi with a confused look because this room doesn't belong to me, it belonged to their sister.

"Both of you were playing hide-and-seek, right? He said he couldn't find you. He looked like he was about to cry. Why don't you try to go find Bephie yourself? I mean, I guess it's hard to say who's it at that point, but still. Well, see ya later."

Levi told me before leaving the room which left me with a very confused look.

'Okay...that was weird...' I thought to myself before I decided to look for Belphie. I opened the door again only to find myself at the bottom of the staircase where the attic room is located. I then heard two voices from above and it sounds like they were having an argument.

"What scares you is the thought of disappointing, Diavolo, isn't it?! Say soemthing! Lucifer! The old Lucifer wasn't like this. He wasn't afraid of what someone else thought of him. He wasn't pathetic like that."

"You're free to think whatever you want, Belphegor. Also...I'd say you've changed as well," I heard Lucifer and Belphie argue until I heard footsteps.

'Crap! someone is coming down the stairs toward me!' I thought to myself before I decided to hide. While I was hiding under the stairs, I watched Lucifer walk down them and leaving the hallway.

I sighed in relief before I headed up the stairs and then I heard Belphie's voice. "Someone...anyone, please...someone help me."

"Belphie?" I called out but there was no answer. 

I touched the door and then it opened all of a sudden. I spotted Belphie asleep on the bed and I slowly approached him.

"Mm..."

"Belphegor," I called out softly to him.

"...Lilith...I miss you...Lilith..." Belphie spoke in his sleep.

"Sorry..." I apologised to him.

"Mm..."

Belphie slowly opened his eyes and as soon as he saw me, he sat up with a shocked expression at first before it turned angry.

"...Wh-What are you doing here...?" He asked before he got off the bed.

"I can explain," I told him.

"Wha? what's going on? (Y/n) how did you get in here? I mean, the only one who can get in here is Lucifer-" Belphie spoke before he noticed the door that is lying wide open.

"I don't believe it. The door...it's open...! Did you do that? did you open it?" Belphie asked me and I nodded my head.

"Bingo!" I smiled.

"Amazing...! This is amazing, (Y/n)! Ahahahaha! YES! Oh (Y/n), you've set me free! You've released me from this prison! You've saved me! Thank you so much...! I knew it! I knew you'd come through for me! Ahahahaha! There's no way Lucifer or Lord Diavolo ever imagined THIS would happen!" Belphie laughed.

"To think that I'd be saved by a human...! Heheh...heheheh....ahahahahaha! It really is ironic! Ahahahaha! In any event, (Y/n), all I can do is thank you. Now I can finally achieve what I set out to do!" Belphie told me before he opened his arms to hug me.

I was about to give him a hug until I remembered something.

'Hold on...Belphie said he heard a voice before he noticed the door lying wide open...oh no, that means-'

"Ah...this really brings back memories. This feeling...I wonder how long it's been since I've touched a human?"

'Oh no...' I thought to myself before I felt a shiver travel down my spine.

"So, (Y/n)..." Belphie transformed into his demon form and said to me. "How can I express how I'm feeling right now? what can I do?"

Suddenly, Belpie wrapped his tail around my neck and lifted me into the air and started laughing like a mainiac.

"Heheh...heheheheh, AHAHAHAHA! you humans really are foolish, idiotic, weak creatures, aren't you? you're so stupid that i can't help but laugh. Don't blame me for tricking you, blame yourself for falling for it. If you die, the exchange program will be ruined, and Diavolo's reputation will be in tatters."

"Why...are you...doing this...?" I choked out while holding onto Belphie's tail that's wrapped around my neck, squeezing the life out of me, literally.

"I hate humans, you see. I hate them more than anything in the three worlds."

I gagged and coughed as his tail tightened around my neck, making it harder to breathe.

Hehe...does it hurt? Find it hard to breathe? I'm sure it must be very unpleasant. I have to say, seeing a human face twisted in pain like this...why, it's so much fun that I can barely stand it! I...I can't contain the laughter. AHAHAHAHA!"

I started to see black spots before my head felt heavy....the world around me...started to get...fuzzy...all of my strength left my body....and then...my arms went limp before everything around me turned black....

".....elp....help...hey, wake up," I heard a voice calling out to me.

"...You can do this. I know you can find me....please..."

I slowly opened my eyes to see a woman standing before me and I swore I've seen her somewhere before.

"Who...are you?" I asked her.

"You don't know, do you...? I'm sorry. I don't have the strength to maintain my physical form anymore. I've been waiting for so long, you see. I've waiting for you to come find me. My name is Lilith."

My eyes widen when she mentioned her name.

"Lilith...? why are you here? I thought...everyone thought that you..." I stuttered before she told me.

"Following the Great Celestial War...I was near death. My very existence hung by a thread. But thanks to Lucifer, I was reborn as a human. And so I lived out my life, a happy one as a human, never knowing who I was or what had happened. But then after my death, I remembered. I remembered who I was. I'm worried about Belphie. Not only him, but all of my brothers. Every since becoming a soul, I've been watching over them, and in that time, I've forgotten how to get to the Celestial Realm," Lilith explained to me.

"Lilith..." I spoke softly.

"...Please, (Y/n)...I'll lend you my powers, so please, save them. You're the only one who can. Please..." Lilith begged me.

"But why me?" I asked her.

"Why you? because you're my...which is why..." Lilith tried to tell me but I only caught bits and pieces before the world around me got brighter and brighter.
