READER'S POV

"...! (Y/n)...! (Y/n)!" A familiar voice shouted after I snapped out of it. I looked around and I was back in the room.

'What was that I just saw?' I thought to myself as I looked down at the grimoire in my hands.

"What're ya doin'?! how can you stand there starin' off into space at a time like this?!" Mammon shouted before Cerberus growled.

"GROWLRRR...!"

"Mammooon! What're we supposed to do noooow?!" Asmo shouted.

"I'll hold him off! get the grimoire!" Raven shouted before he turned into a large dog form. It's similar to his werewolf form but bigger.

Raven growled and pounced onto Cerberus. Raven and Cerberus fought by growling, snapping and biting at one another. 

"Pick up the grimoire, (Y/n)!" Mammon shouted.

"Don't think, just do it!" Satan shouted.

I was about to pick up the grimoire but, it's wrapped in ivy. I can't pick it up.

"Mammon, we can't keep this beast at bay for much longer!" Satan shouted.

"AAAAH! I don't want to be Doggy McDogface's dinnerrr!"

Suddenly, Raven got pinned down by Ceberus and then he bit into his shoulder. Raven whimpered in pain and then I shouted.

"Raven! leave him alone!" I shouted before I tossed a rock at one of Ceberus' head.

Cerberus growled and then he glared at me after releasing Raven.

"Oops, bad move," I mumbled before he stalked towards me.

"Whoa, easy Ceberus. Good dog, please don't eat me," I told him as I backed away from him.

Ceberus growled at me and then all of a sudden, he started panting in excitement before licking me.

"Wha?! hey! what are you doing?! hahaha! stop it! stop it! stop licking me!" I shouted while laughing and then I fell onto my backside as he continued to lick me.

"Hahaha! Cerberus! cut it out! hahaha! you're covering me in dog drool!" I shouted as he whimpered happily before he stopped and laid down on the ground with tail wagging in excitement.

"What the...?" Mammon spoke.

"I don't believe it...he's acting...different?" Satan asked with a confused.

"All of a sudden he's acting like a big puppy," Asmo commented.

"How is that possible? Lucifer is the only one who can tame him," Beel asked.

"My guess is, he probably sensed (Y/n)'s aura," Raven commented after he turned back into his normal dog form.

"Aura?" Beel asked.

"Whenever (Y/n) is near a demon they can sense her kind spirit. When she tried to help me just now, Ceberus sensed it. Don't ask me how it happens it just does," Raven explained to them.

Cerberus wagged his tail while I petted his middle head and he was enjoying me scratching under his chin. The head on the left nudged its nose at me and I petted it.

"Aww, you're not so bad when you're not trying to eat or scare us, are you, boy?" I asked with a smile before he nuzzled his three heads against me.

"What in the world is going on here?" I heard someone speak.

We turned to look and it's Lucifer and he looked shocked to see Cerberus acting oddly.

"If you're gonna show up to save the day, do it sooner, Lucifer!"

"I was going to say be thankful that I came at all but, it looks like I wasn't needed after all," Lucifer commented as he watched Cerberus poked his nose at me wanting more pets.

"I don't believe all of you...Can't you go a single day without causing trouble?" Lucifer asked as he glared at every one of us.

"Don't look at me. I wasn't casuin' any trouble! Cerberus and Asmo were the ones who were bein' loud and stuff! ...For the most part!" Mammon told him.

"Excuse me? Why single me out? Levi was being loud too, you know?"

"And this is unexpected. You're joined by the very two people who should be keeping a low profile...that would be you two, Beel and (Y/n)," Lucifer spoke with a frown.

I walked towards Lucifer and stared at him for a few moments before I did something unexpected. I hugged him tightly as I could which took him and the others by surprise.

"Wh-wh-whaaa?!" Mammon shouted.

"Ooooh?"

Beel and Satan stood there in silent with dumbfounded expressions on their faces.

"Hey, what's the big idea?! Are you trying to show off, is that it?"

"...Is this your idea of an apology? or is it-"

"Love?" Asmo asked with a grin.

"Wait, WHAT?!" Mammon shouted with a shock look on his face.

"...Get off of me. Now," Lucifer told me with a red face and I did as I was told.

"So you don't mind if you get a hug later, hm? <3" Asmo teased.

"...This is so not fair," Levi grumbled.

"Huh? what'd you say?" Asmo asked.

"Now that you're here Lucifer, I want to talk to you," I told him.

"I think we all do. What're you going to do, Lucifer?" Satan asked but he didn't respond.

"Ah, responding with silence as usual. You always have been at that," Satan spoke with a frown.

"C'mon, don't leave us hangin!" Mammon shouted.

"I'd say it's about time you actually talked to us," Asmo told him.

"Yeah. This isn't just your problem. It's a family problem, it involves us all," Levi told him with a small smile.

"They're right, you can't hide the truth forever," Raven commented before he shifted into his smaller form to leap onto my shoulder. 

"A family problem. Hmm..." Lucifer mumbled.

"Come on, Lucifer. Talk to us," Beel told him.

"Beel, I...okay. Let's head back upstairs. We'll worry Lilith if she sees us acting like this," Lucifer told us before we headed back upstairs into the library.

But before I could follow after them, Cerberus whimpered and he placed his paw in front of me and nuzzled his heads against me.

"Hey! Cerberus!"

"Hahaha! looks like someone's got a crush on you," Raven laughed.

"You're not funny, Raven," I spoke with a frown.

"(Y/n), what did you do to Cerberus?" Lucifer asked me with a frown.

"I honestly have no idea, I swear on my life Lucifer," I told him as I tried to escape from Cerberus but, he whimpered again before used his paw to pull me back.

"Oh good grief," Lucifer grumbled before he glared at Cerberus.

"Cerberus!"

"Whimper*" Cerberus whimpered in fear.

"Let her leave, NOW!" Lucifer shouted and then Cerberus stepped away from me before laying down on the ground with a sad look on his face.

"Oh don't worry, buddy. I'll be back to visit you soon. If it makes you feel better and if Lucifer allows it, I can take you on walks and maybe you and Raven can be friends?" I suggested before Cerberus licked my face.

"Hehe, good boy," I spoke with a smile before I petted his middle head and caught up with the others.

We got to the library where we could talk but, everyone was silent. I guess they didn't know what to say to each other or how Lucifer is going to explain his actions to us.

"Would it be better if Raven and I weren't here?" I asked the others.

"No, there's no need to go," Mammon told me.

"That's right."

"Actually, I'd say this involves you," Satan and Asmo told me.

"Yep. You're like family to us now, after all," Levi smiled and that comment took me by surprise.

"You stay right here," Beel told me as he placed his hands on my shoulders and made me sit back down.

"Well, you heard them..." Lucifer mumbled.

Raven leapt onto my lap and sat down before Lucifer continued.

"*Sigh* it would seem my brothers think of you as part of the family now."

"Family, huh..." Beel mumbled. "Okay, then what about Belphie?"

"Beel..." Asmo tried to stop him.

"Belphie's family too! That goes without saying! Or am I wrong?!" Beel shouted with a frown.

"...Yes, he is family. That's why I locked him away," Lucifer confessed.

"Wait, what?" Raven asked with a surprised look.

"If he were really family to you, you never would've done something like that to him!" Beel shouted angrily.

"Hey, whoa..." Mammon spoke.

"OKay, try to calm down, Beel," Asmo tried to calm down Beel.

"How can you guys be so calm about this?! Lucifer lied to us, you know?!"

"Right, and we're about that too. That's why we're all here. To talk about it," Levi told him.

"You're too upset right now, Beel. We'll never get anywhere if we're lashing out each other," Satan told him and I looked at Beel.

"Beel, I know how you feel and I get it. I'd be upset too if one my siblings locked away someone I cared about too," I told him.

"(Y/n)...thanks," Beel smiled.

"Oka then, now that we've calmed down, why don't we let (Y/n) take over from here? You came back here because there's something you'd like to ask Lucifer," Satan suggested.

"That's right. I want to know why you locked Belphie away," I told Lucifer before explained himself.

"...It began with Diavolo's plan for the exchange program between the Devildom, the Celestial Realm and the human world. That's what triggered the chain of events that led to today..."

Flashback...

3RD PERSON

"...So, with all of that in mind, I'd like to propose that we create a student exchange program. It would be an experiment, an attempt at opening the door to a new age," Diavolo spoke with a smile as he told them this but, only one of the seven brothers wasn't happy about this proposal.

"Wait just a second! what're you talking about?!" Belphegor spoke up. 

"The whole idea of having an exchange with humans is insane! we can't do this. Absoultely not!"

"Belphegor, I understand that this must make you anxious, but I'd like you to listen to what I'm saying. Having a student exchange will help the Devildom to grow and develop. And it certainly won't cause any harm. I wouldn't allow such a thing to happen," Diavolo frowned.

"Just coming into contact with humans itself is causing harm!" Belphegor tried to voice his opinions.

"Times have change, Belphegor. The universe is made up more than just the Devildom. We exist by maintaining a state of balance between each of our worlds. There are some humans who are starting to wake up to this fact as well. It may seem like we're rejecting our history by acknowledging and accepting each other, and building releationships. But we'll never get anywhere if we're too afraid to move forward. What we need now is to have the courage to take the first step into the future," Diavolo explained to Belphegor but he was having none of it.

"Don't think you can fool me with that talk!"

Flashback ends...

READER'S POV

I was shocked the way Belphie reacted, I mean I knew he hated humans but to hear how badly he reacted that day.

"Ah...right. I remember what happened," Asmo spoke up.

"Everyone besides Belphie agreed with Diavolo," Satan commented.

"Right, yeah. The majority of us were in favour of having the exchange program, so the plan was approved, right?" Levi asked while Beel sat there in silence.

"Okay, so like, are you sayin' that you locked Belphie up 'cause he was opposed to Diavolo's idea?" Mammon asked.

"Wait a minute, really? I mean, that's kind of awful, don't you think?"

"I don't think it's got something to do with that, Asmo," Raven commented.

"He's right, you haven't heard the whole story yet. That night, Belphie showed up at my room alone..."

Flashback....

LUCIFER'S POV

"I don't understand it, and I definetely won't accept it!" Belphie shouted angrily.

"No matter how many times you may say it, it's a waste of breath," I told him for the millionth time tonight.

"Well, it's not a waste of breath to me! Lucifer, you have to be able to do something, right?! Talk to Lord Diavolo and find a way to convince him! Tell him to kill this exchange program thing. Tell him that he needs to rethink things!" Belphie begged me but, I didn't say anyting to him.

"Are you afraid of Lord Diavolo? is that it?! Does the idea of disagreeing with him scare you that much?!" Belphie shouted at me.

"Let me make one thing clear...what Diavolo wants, I want," I told him but, he wasn't happy with that comment.

"Oh come on... Come on! What happened to your ability to think for yourself, Lucifer?! Are you really nothing than Diavolo's puppet now? Have you fallen that far?!" Belphie shouted.

"Belphegor, no matter what you say, it won't change anything. When a motion is passed by the student council officers, that's it. It can't be undone. I have nothing else to say on the matter," I told him with a frown.

"Maybe not, but I've got more to say to you! I'm begging you, Lucifer! You're the only one with the ability to persuade Diavolo," Belphie told me.

"I've got no intention of trying to persuade him of anything. Because that fact is that I agree with his plan for the exchange program," I told him which made his eyes widen and then he looked down sadly.

"...Have you forgotten about Lilith? Have you forgetton about our sis-"

"What does she have to do with this?" I cut him off.

"What do you mean!? It was because of the humans remember?! They were responsible for...for what happened to her..." Belphie spoke sadly.

"It's time you forgot about that," I told him bluntly but, Belphie eyes widen in anger.

"Forget about it? You're telling me to FORGET about it...? Does that mean you've forgotten, then? You've forgotten about Lilith?" Belphie questioned me and I didn't answer him because I never forgot but, we need to move on.

"It's unforgivable...that you just FORGET about her..." Belphie grumbled before he shouted in anger.

"It's absoutely unforgivable! I refuse to stand by and let this happen! I refuse to allow an exchange with humans to go forward! Humans...they should be wiped out from existence!"

"Stop right there, Belphegor. Not another word, or you'll be guilty of treason against Diavolo."

"That's right! That's exactly what this is! I'm standing up in defiance of Diavolo! If you can't do it, then I will. I'll wipe out every last human, and kill Diavolo as well...! And if you stand in my way, I'll kill you too!" Belphie told me in anger before he transformed into his demon form and I did the same.

"Enough, Belphie. Do you seriously mean to attack me? What would be the purpose of us fighting? what good would come of it?" I asked him while trying to hold him back.

"Let go of me...! Hey..!"

"I won't allow you to stand in Diavolo's way. You may be my brother, but that's a bridge too far, and now you will pay the price. From this moment forward, I'll be keeping you prisoner here. And you'll remain that way until you managed to calm down and reform your way for thinking," I told him.

"Why...gr...why would you do this, Lucifer...?! Is Diavolo more important to you than all of us now...more important than you brothers...?!"

"..."

"Answer me!"

"...Yes, " I told him.

"Why...?! Why would you...?! ...GRRRAAAAAH!"
