Chapter 23

READER'S POV

After making a pact with Beel and feeling better from last night's events, he decided to take me out for some dinner because the kitchen is still being repaired right now. He picked Hell's Kitchen and he had booked a table for it as well. We got to the restaurant and then we sat down at our table.

"Have anything off the menu you want, (Y/n)," Beel spoke with a smile. "You said that the only thing you wanted was to make a pact with me, but I don't feel like that's enough. So order whatever you want. Anything at all."

"Thanks Beel," I spoke with a smile while Raven panted and drooled happily.

"Right, don't mind if I do! Time to order big...real big!" Mammon spoke in a happy tone.

"Ooh, they have food from the human world...! Like this here. This is what Minoka in 'Help! I'm an Evil Overlord! - How Discovering That My Classmate Was  a Witch Set Me on a Course to Become Superme Ruler of Another Dimension. They actually have it here!" Levi spoke with a grin on his face.

I sweat dropped a little when I saw their reactions but Beel looked annoyed.

"I said I was taking (Y/n) out to eat, not you guys. So, why are you two here?"

"Hey, come on. What's the harm in havin' us tag along, huh? Don't be such a killjoy!" Mammon spoke with a smile.

"Order first, we should. Talk later, we can."

Beel sighed and then he said to Levi and Mammon.

"Just so we're clear, I'm not paying for either of you guys."

"Now come on, Beel. Even if there were ten of us here with you, we still wouldn't be able to eat as much as you do on your own. Payin' for us won't set ya back that much," Mammon talked back to him.

"It's not about the money. But I'm still not paying," Beel grumbled.

"Begin by ordering drinks, I will."

"You turnin' into one of your 2D characters again, Levi?" Mammon asked him.

I shook my head at them before looking at the menu and then I decided what I was going to eat. After we had our food and drinks, Beel and I told Mammon and Levi why he made a pact with me in the first place.

"Mmm, ineresting. So you're hopin' to get Lucifer and Belphie to make up, huh?" Mammon asked me.

"And that's why you decided you'd make a pact with (Y/n), Beel?" Levi asked Beel.

"Well, that's not the only reason, but yeah, we both want the same thing."

I nodded my head in agreement but, Mammon and Levi didn't look convinced.

"(Y/n), do ya really think you can do this? I mean, we're talkin' about Lucifer here," Mammon asked me.

"I know I can do it," I spoke in a confident tone.

"I've always thought it was impossible, so I gave up on trying. But if you never try, you're guaranteed not to succeed, right?" Beel spoke with a smile.

"If you ask me, there's no chance this'll work."

"This isn't a game you can win," Levi warned me.

"So?" I asked him before giving a bit of my food to Raven before he hiding back into my shadow.

"This is a family issue that affects all of us brothers. But think about it: has anyone ever tried to solve it, whether it was us or anyone else? Who's ever offered to help those two make up?"

"No one, I guess," Mammon shrugged it off.

"Nope, nobody," Levi agreed  with him.

"Sure, this might be impossible. We might end up giving up and accepting that it won't happen. But we can at least give it a shot before deciding it can't be done. It doesn't hurt to try," Beel convinced the others.

"..."

"Aww, but... Hmm..."

Mammon and Levi were silent for a moment until Mammon spoke up.

"...Well, now that ya put it that way, I guess I could help out. I me an, I can't deny that this thing with Lucifer and Belphie affects all of us."

"Agreed."

Beel and I smiled when they finally agreed to help us.

"Then it's settled," Beel spoke with a smile on his face.

And with that, Mammon and Leviathan have no joined me on my quest to smooth things over between Lucifer and Belphegor.

After we finished our meals, Mammom smiled and then he spoke up, "Okay then! It's time we came up with a name for this team of ours!"

"...A name? Do we really need a name?" Beel asked him.

"'Course we do! We've gotta figure these things out, get our ducks in a row before we do anything else. It promotes spirit, you know? Makes you more likely to succeed!" Mammon told us.

"Evil Genesis DEMONGELION," Levi suggested.

"Nah, too obvious. Everyone'll know where you stole that from. Could create problems down the road. We should give it a cooler-soundin' name. You know, like 'Solomon an His 72 Demons'," Mammon told us.

"Hey I know! How about Mammon and His 3 Servants'?!" Mammon suggested but everyone else ignored him.

"...Ooh. This is the limited edition item I was looking for. It was out of stock on Akuzon, but now it's back," Levi spoke happily as he checked his D.D.D.

"Mmm, this is delicious. The meat is so tender...I think I'll order another," Beel spoke happily as he continued to eat.

"Here you go Raven, you can have the rest of this," I told him as I gave him my plate of leftovers and then Raven happily stuffed his face.

"Hey, come on, DON'T IGNORE ME!" Mamoon shouted.

And so the conversation continued late into the evening. Though it never got any less idiotic, the four of us, well five including Raven, had a good time and that's all that mattered.

***

We got back to the mansion with stuffed bellies. Raven collapsed onto the floor the minute we got to the entrance hall.

"Phew...I'm stuffed...I feel like going into a food coma."

I giggled at his reaction before Lucifer came into the hallway and he said to me, "You sure are back late. Did you go out to eat with Beel and the others?"

"Yeah. Mammon and Levi were with us," I spoke with a smile on my face.

"So they were there too? I was worried whether they'd be able to put their differences aside at first, but it seems like they're getting along well. The repiars to the kitchen are finally done. And the wall to your room is fixed, too."

"Well, that's a happy relief."

"You should move back into your room tomorrow and start sleeping there again."

'Looks like tonight is my last night in Beel's room.'

I thought to myself before heading back to Beel's room while carrying a tired Raven in my arms. Once I got there, I placed Raven onto the bed and I told him.

"Good grief, I need to cut back on your treats, Raven. You're getting a bit round."

"Hey! I am not!" Raven argued.

"Oh really? then care to explain to me why your belly is getting bigger? because I'm pretty sure I haven't been feeding you that much," I told him with a frown.

"Ask Beel..."

I glared at Beel who came into the room and I told him, "Beel! stop feeding Raven so much food!"

"Sorry, but he's been giving me the puppy-dog eyes."

"Don't give into that look and don't give him any more treats, you're going to give him obesity," I told him with a frown.

"Okay, all right, I'll stop," Beel told me while holding back a laugh.

I shook my head at him before I grabbed my PJs and then I went into the bathroom to get changed. After I changed into my (f/c) pj shorts and T-shirts, I got into bed while Beel slept on the couch and Raven cuddled next to me. I was close to falling asleep until Beel spoke up.

"...(Y/n), you awake?"

"I am now..." I spoke in a tired tone before Raven rested his head on my chest. "What is it?"

"I need you to listen to what I've got to say."

I sat up a little and I listened to Beel, "You remember about Lilith, right?"

I nodded my head before he continued.

"Well, sometimes I dream about her and they're not happy dreams. They're the sort of dreams you don't want to have."

"What are they about?" I asked him in a curious tone.

"Long ago, back when we were in the Celestial Realm, I asked her a question; 'Lilith, if you had to choose between saving me or Belphie, who would it be?' She just looked at me and said, 'Both of you!'"

I smiled a little when he told me this because she sounded like a wonderful sister to try and save both the twin brothers.

"Now, everything I just told you really did happen. But...when I dream about it, it doesn't end there. Lilith and Belphie disappear and I'm left all alone. Everything is pitch black and suddenly I'm falling. Falling down through a void..."

"That sounds like a bad dream," I mumbled before Beel came over to me and then he asked me.

"Would it be okay...if I held your hand, (Y/n)? For a little bit. Until I fall asleep."

I smiled at Beel and I nodded my head before I took his hand.

"Thanks."

"You're welcome."

I spoke with a smile before I closed my eyes and then I fell asleep.

LATER ON THAT NIGHT...

BEEL'S POV

I was having that dream again but this time something was different about it. I heard a voice calling out to me.

"...Beel...Beel...You've got to help him...You've got to help Belphie...Promise me, Beel. Promise you'll help him..."

I shot my eyes open and I sat quickly after having that dream. I looked around and I was in my room and (Y/n) was still asleep while Raven slept at the bottom of the bed and curled up into a ball.

"Oh I guess I was dreaming...But it wasn't the usual dream. This one was different..." I mumbled quietly before I looked at (Y/n).

"Do you think it could've been because you were here, (Y/n)...?"
